Il Melograno in Monopoli

A stunning farmhouse, impeccable service, excellent cuisine. The feeling of being pampered in the embrace of centuries-old Apulian olive trees is hard to compare.

A very impressive structure, excellent service. The entire staff, from the manager down, always strives to pamper guests. A great experience.

The ancient Masseria is skillfully complemented by architecture that blends beautifully into the wonderful park. Tiny pomegranates, bougainvilleas of every color, centuries-old and millennial olive trees, young oranges and lemons, and flowers of every color contrast with the white structure and turquoise sky. The spaces are so spacious that privacy is guaranteed. We loved it.

A charming place surrounded by greenery, it's impossible not to be captivated by the smells and aromas of this place. A very good restaurant, swimming pools, and common areas that restore your peace of mind. The rooms are large, spacious, and equipped with every amenity you could imagine: impeccably clean, always with drinking water, and 40-inch Sky TV so you don't miss a thing. You sleep like a god. The highlight of my experience: BREAKFAST. I'm a big fan of international breakfasts, but I've never had one like this: from Apulian burratina to eggs and bacon, croissants, pastries, and focaccia. And all this, while you'll always be pampered by professional, helpful, and very kind staff. COVID-19 regulations are widely observed.

Book it! We had a fabulous time at hotel Il Melograno. The grounds are stunningly beautiful, whitewashed and dotted with ancient olive trees and other fruit trees. The staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, roomy and well appointed with quality linens and luxury bath products. Your room will be restocked daily with nespresso pods and your choice of water, still or sparkling. The air conditioning was sufficient for the hot and dry climate. There are plenty of beautiful places to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail.
The food was noteworthy. The daily breakfast was executed with the care and skill of a fine dining restaurant. It exceeded our expectations every day. The restaurant and bar were equally impressive. These were some of the best meals that we had during our stay in Puglia.
I would not hesitate to recommend Il Melograno to friends and family.

From the moment we checked into Il Melograno for the first part of our honeymoon we felt totally relaxed, pampered, and at home. It all starts with the ladies at the reception desk - Alessandra, Cosmara, and Maria - who are so helpful with recommending day trips, restaurants in the area, and arranging anything you could need from spa treatments to wine tastings. They are so kind, welcoming and happy to see you each time you pass by.

Each morning and afternoon we had such good meals with the best service from Oscar, who was always happy to see us and help us to learn Italian. His service was spectacular and he was so attentive to us, even if we weren’t sitting down to eat he came by to say hello and ask if we needed anything.

The sommelier at Il Melograno, Nicola, is so knowledgeable of wine and happy to speak in depth to help you find what you like. Nicola was fun and friendly to talk with and was even kind enough to offer us a special tasting of a phenomenal Cabernet.

At the spa, Miriam and her partner created a very relaxing atmosphere which is exactly what we needed after traveling for 20+ hours. Our massages and time in the steam room and sauna left us feeling rejuvenated and got us in the perfect mindset to begin our honeymoon.

Lastly, we really enjoyed our time at the bar with the bartender, Massimo. Since the weather was slightly cold with some rain the first two days, we spent time inside and Massimo was so friendly and fun to be around. He is a bartender I would love to have back in the USA! As with everyone else, he was so helpful to recommend things in the area as well as patient with us as we practiced our Italian language phrases.

We would highly recommend everyone to stay at Il Melograno and we are so happy we found this place to begin our trip around Puglia. We truly did not want to leave when it was time to check out. You will not regret your stay here, and we cannot wait to come back!

A truly special experience at Il Melograno, Monopoli

The hotel is simply stunning - a large and beautiful estate with only a small number of rooms, which makes you feel as if the entire place is yours. Everything is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly charming.

The food is great, with a rich breakfast, and also the restaurant for dinner was very good!

The service was excellent and very personal. A special thanks to Alessandra, who hosted a wonderful cooking class for us. She was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable - she truly taught us the art of cooking! It was such a lovely and unique experience to prepare, bake, and even take home what we made, along with the recipe as a keepsake 😉.

Alessandra also gave us great local recommendations that made our stay even better.
We truly loved every moment and will definitely come back!

I highly recommend this gorgeous resort. The staff is phenomenal and the restaurant is sensational. My wife and I rate their restaurant as #1 during our two week vacation.
