We found the restaurant spontaneously walking through the charming streets of Matera and we couldn’t have had better luck! The restaurant sits in a cozy area with wonderful views, yet it brings elegance to the table. Our waiter, Tino, took care of us with such a care that we felt we are at a private dinning diner. Fantastic hotel with great views We had a fabulous time at Palazzo Viceconte. The views from the room and from the roof terrace are simply stunning, and the staff were very welcoming and generous. The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required.

Charming hotel in Matera Great stay, clean, close to everything. Nice room but no windows because they are in a grotta in the old town. Be aware you need to walk from the lobby to the rooms and there are stairs to get there (don’t bring heavy luggage)

Without window the rooms are not nice however its fine. Rest we enjoyed our stay in Matera. Rooms are in different pathway where you have to go down using stairs. If you are old then it might be an big issue but location is center and you don’t have to take an bus to go further.

We did two nights, clean and new apartment. Very nice and large swimming pool. We didn't use the entertainment because we wanted to spend two days relaxing. We hope to be able to return next year and stay a few more days. The sea this morning was beautiful, clear and full of small fish.

The staff was super polite and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was really good. The surrounding area was gorgeous. The rooms can use some updating, but overall it was a nice experience.

We absolutely loved our stay. Very attentive before our arrival, arranging our parking and shuttle to the hotel. Once at the hotel the staff was so kind and friendly and offered recommendations. The room itself was better than expected and the buffet breakfast had a great selection. Best of all, it was quiet at night allowing us to actually get a good nights sleep.

The actual hotel/room didn't quite live up to the photos or descriptions; it definitely wasn't the cave-style depicted but rather quite modern. Located on a hill, the hotel is impossible to find using GPS. We had to call the front desk, and it took a long time for them to understand and send someone to collect us. For a four-star hotel, the room facilities are not adequate. More tableware and space for placing items could be provided. Because you need to walk in SASSI, the breakfast is great.

Stayed in this fascinating hotel in Matera for 3 nights. Our room was in one of the old cisterns carved out of the limestone. While not luxurious, the unique aspect of being in a cave more than made up for any lack of facilities. Matera itself was astonishing - truly exceptional place to visit. Beautiful masseria, nearby Matera. The drawback of the central location is that the place feels more touristy rather than authentic, when compared to other masseria's. The room was good, however it couldn't get chill inside, even with the AC on Power the whole night. The breakfast was ok, choices were limited, fruit juice was not freshly made.

A fantastic little spot. Really excellent service from the family (our flight was 3 hours late and they were there at 1:30am) to welcome us to our large, well air conditioned (was 36 degrees) room. Nice breakfast, full of local produce. Definitely need a car if you want to explore the area

Wide view of the endless fields next to Matera. This old farm has been converted in an idealistic hotel that is just starting. Loved the big rooms with old furniture together with more modern accents. The pool is very good, but the big score of this hotel is an even better breakfast. Most products come from the farm it self! Charming Masseria in the middle of the countryside. Well-appointed and equipped rooms. Great staff, attentive and courteous. Quality dishes are served in the restaurant, and the service is efficient. Breakfast misses a hot option though. The owners add a nice presence. The only downside concerns the price which seems a bit over what you would expect for this standing. This Hotel sits in a beautiful beachfront cove that is quiet and restful. The Staff are dressed wonderfully and very attentive and friendly. The Breakfast Buffet is wonderful. My only complaint was a very uncomfortable bed.

I've stayed at this hotel several times when I'm passing through for work. I was greeted warmly. At reception, I was given a beautiful suite, comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Located just off the main road but quiet, thanks to sound-proof windows, with a safe parking and good restaurant. Ideal for a stopover if visiting the nearby ancient greek Temple of Hera and the museums at Metaponto and Policoro.

The restaurant is very nice when they arrive at 8 pm all the employees wake up ... Until now there is a guy who assists the customers but who can do nothing only the keys to the room in case ... The room a bit worn and Vintage , comfortable. Nice breakfast area provided.

Never judge from the outside and the location. Ample parking. Spacious and clean rooms with all the comforts from the minibar (with two bottles of 500ml natural and carbonated offered), large TV, desk, wifi, hairdryer, etc. Large breakfast buffet. Restaurant with a wide choice. Stayed for work, a little far from the sea. Advised!!

We used the restaurant where we ate 3 dinners, different dishes all excellent. In particular paccheri with crab. Divine dish. The pizza is also very good and very digestible. 100 percent recommended

Dinner room opened a good 15 minutes late and there was live music during dinner which was annoyingly loud and not really fitting for 'dinner music', however the food itself was really good. The rooms are good as well, shower works a bit clunky when it comes to the temperature but everything is nice and clean, room has a balcony which is large enough to sit on and there was a drying rack for clothes...

The lady at the reception was very kind to prepare a delicious pasta for lunch since we could not find a place in the surroundings that was open. This is a quality accommodation with stylish decoration and definitely a place where we like to come back. It is close to a beautiful beach area and nice sight seeing.

We spent 5 nights at this small, delightful and peaceful hotel. It has an impressive view over the Bernalda valley, attractive grounds dotted with olive trees and oleander bushes. The swimming pool was an added bonus, particularly for a refreshing dip after a hot day's sightseeing. The hotel provides free breakfast and you need to make your own arrangements for lunch and dinner. Plenty of choice available...
