A caring host A little difficult to find. However, everything else is great! Close to the historic center. A helpful and attentive host. Spacious and very clean room, as was the bathroom. Varied breakfast. Top-notch!

Excellent location (we were 5, including three boys). Strategic for visiting Matera on foot, leaving the car in the courtyard. Mimmo was very kind in welcoming and advising us. Super abundant breakfast. Rooms equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Thanks for everything Mimmo, we really hope to return.

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable, clean, and most importantly, very spacious. We stayed on the second floor, with a courtyard in front and a balcony in the back. Breakfast ok. Room was clean and comfortable. TV had no English speaking stations. Google maps showed hotel 0.4 miles away from actual location. Staff had difficulty telling me where property actually was, when phoned in with problem. Staff helpful in scheduling City tour, but when could not locate tour guide, had difficulty helping to make connection.

I've just completed three nights at this wonderful hotel. It is in the very best location with spectacular views and amazing staff. Especially Fania on reception. I really could stay here for weeks very happily. Walk out of the hotel entrance and you are immediately in the middle of everything you could want.

The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required.

Well-maintained and well-arranged apartments, although the cleanliness from a female perspective isn't impeccable (one stained sheet, hair in the outside shower). Gorgeous pool, no entertainment. The beach is crowded like a council house. Except for sheets, towels, and dishes, bring your own.

We did two nights, clean and new apartment. Very nice and large swimming pool. We didn't use the entertainment because we wanted to spend two days relaxing. We hope to be able to return next year and stay a few more days. The sea this morning was beautiful, clear and full of small fish.

A well-kept farmhouse. Located in the green a stone's throw from Christ the Redeemer. relaxing atmosphere, total absence of noise. The hotel is very close to the city center. You can reach everywhere by walking. The hotel is an old hotel and has not been renovated. Despite this, it is clean, tidy and in good condition. Stayed in this fascinating hotel in Matera for 3 nights. Our room was in one of the old cisterns carved out of the limestone. While not luxurious, the unique aspect of being in a cave more than made up for any lack of facilities. Matera itself was astonishing - truly exceptional place to visit. My visit was short since I only went for a business meeting but the hotel is really nice. It's located right in the heart of Potenza with many cafés and restaurants all around, yet quiet and cosy. This was my second visit to Le Dodici Luna and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the lovely, spacious room. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Matera. The property is just outside the old town and it is inside a complex of old buildings but once inside is very clean and well organized. The best part of this property is Brunella’s customer service! No matter where you have been you have hardly see someone so dedicated and willing to help.
