Tenuta Danesi is absolutely exceptional! From the moment you arrive, you feel surrounded by beauty, warmth, and genuine Italian charm. The whole place is stunning and radiates peace and authenticity. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and passionate about what they do, making every guest feel truly welcome.

We spent one night in a standard double room, which was beautifully designed, spotless, and very comfortable — a perfect example of rustic elegance done right. The second night we stayed in the Bubble Room, and that was an absolutely *epic* experience — sleeping under the stars in complete peace and luxury is something we’ll never forget.

The food and wine are simply divine — authentic, fresh, and full of flavor, prepared with love and served with care. Every detail, from the elegant design of the place to the peaceful atmosphere, shows how much heart and dedication has gone into creating this experience.

It’s a perfect blend of elegance, nature, and genuine hospitality. Tenuta Danesi is not just a place to visit — it’s a place to remember. Absolutely outstanding in every way!

Tenuta Danesi is a large old farmhouse complex set in the middle of huge cornfields which has been rebuilt by a modernist architect who has changed it beyond recognition into a very impressive small development working as an agriturismo. It is quiet, elegant and a delightful place to stay. The proprietor manager is first class. There is a small restaurant with a limited choice but high-quality and excellent local wines. There are several outdoor high level terraces overlooking the fields, above a small sleek swimming pool courtyard. The rooms are conventional hotel type rooms, or extremely intriguing plastic bubbles arranged around a garden behind the courtyard (which we did not try.) Complaints are minimal but mainly concern the bathroom. The shower is huge with a large slippery shower tray without any handles, or even a shelf, forcing one to bend to the floor to use toiletries, so it is potentially very dangerous for older people and needs immediate attention. In our bathroom there was no extra toilet paper, no shower gel and nowhere to store towels. The hairdryer was 100% useless. Overall the architect has won in the bathroom but at the expense of function. With these small reservations this is highly recommended and has the advantage of being only about 10 minutes drive from the outskirts of Matera .

Absolute dissatisfaction. Went there for anniversary, for bubble room in one night.

Bathtub did not warm up, staff ignored request to fix the temperature.

04 o'clock at night, for 30 minutes in a row, the water sprinklers started full power right on the bubble, which caused a very loud noise and our sleep got ruined.

Did a complain for administration lady, who cockily said it is just like a little rain...

The 30 min noise cut into short video below - absolute nightmare.

Place itself is beautiful, breakfast sucks.

My husband and I stayed in the Bubble Room at Tenuta Danesi, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had. Sleeping under the stars is simply indescribable — magical in every way — and Tenuta managed to deliver so much more than we ever imagined.

The food and beverage service was absolutely top-notch, worthy of a five-star hotel. The attention and care we received, especially from Vera and Isabela, were above and beyond. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay not only comfortable but unforgettable.

This was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable accommodations of our lives. Highly recommended!

Beautiful tranquil, clean and tastefully decorated hotel set in the middle of the countryside yet close to the amazing town of Matera. We had a delicious dinner and made much use of the delightful pool and the lovely walks through the fields gave the dog plenty of exercise.

A beautiful and unique experience for those who love nature and dream of falling asleep under the stars!!! Even though the weather wasn't the best, late in the evening the clouds disappeared and the full moon reigned all night! I woke up practically every hour to admire its path... And obviously the sunny awakening! I think the "almost" spring as a season is excellent!!! Very kind and welcoming staff. Too bad the telescope was being serviced...

What a beautiful place! Hotel in an old farmhouse renovated to perfection. The idea of the bubbles is beautiful but this time I was alone and for a business trip I preferred to sleep in the central block, very warm and classy rooms. I will not want to miss the experience of the bubbles next summer with the family. The breakfast offer could be improved, especially the savory one. A note to the chef who even though I arrived late prepared two exquisite dishes for dinner.

My boyfriend and I spent one night in the Bubble room and it was a wonderful experience. The structure is wonderful, the dinner was exquisite. The first courses and the Podolica meat were excellent. I recommend the Bubble room with the internal and external tub. For those who love being in contact with nature, it is an experience to do at least once in a lifetime. Compliments to all the staff for their kindness and availability.

We stayed in the Bubble Room and it was a wonderful experience! First of all, the professionalism of the entire staff, who with their kindness demonstrated an impeccable service. The Bubble is equipped with everything, it guarantees complete privacy, silence, relaxation for a stay that is nothing short of unforgettable. The Jacuzzi next to the Bubble is also beautiful, which completes a breathtaking view and scenery from the outside. Breakfast served in the room and brought in a basket (like a picnic) is an original and pleasant idea, as is the possibility of being able to choose dinner/lunch in the same way. The room is equipped with everything you need and is clean. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our anniversary.

Well-kept estate surrounded by wheat fields. Completely surrounded by greenery. Suitable for an escape from the daily chaos. The structure is historic but renovated. The warm room, with excellent spaces and a view of the expanse, comfortable bathroom, clean but without soundproofing, so you have to be lucky to find polite neighbors who respect the night's rest of other people. Excellent breakfast buffet with fresh products of the day and also good restaurant service that we appreciated during our stay with à la carte menu. Finally, the staff is always available for everything. Our dog also enjoyed the holiday. A twenty minute drive takes you to the beautiful Matera. We will definitely return as soon as possible.
