Amadeus is a reasonable hotel. The bed slept well and the bathroom was great. Some disadvantages were the mediocre breakfast, the broken smoke detector and the poor isolation (could hear my neighbour on the telephone like he was standing next to me).

My only complaint is that the hot water for the shower took a while to arrive and was inconsistent when it got there.

Good place to stay in Caserta close to the train station and the palace and gardens. In general Caserta didn't make a good impression as there is not sooo much you can do. The area great restaurants and the palace and garden is impressive, but apart from that there it not so much more you can see

I stayed in this Hotel with my husband for just one night (luckily)! The hotel looks very clean, and very close to the Royal Palace, but it was our experience
with the staff it was bad.
Arriving at the hotel, after booking the paid parking, we realize that the parking was located inside a courtyard, where various interlocking cars park, between owners of adjacent houses and those staying in hotels ... getting out with the car it took a quarter of an hour to move them all); we had communicated our arrival by 12 noon, the room was not ready. We asked the lady if in the meantime she was printing the tickets for the visit to the Royal Palace, but even if she tried and phoned the owner she was unable to get the printer to work (12:30 pm go in search of a stationery shop!)
As mentioned, the room was very clean, but it only had a small window, so it was very dark and stuffy! We had problems with the hot water not turning on and we had to take a cold shower!
The owner has been rude to my husband several times, and we have witnessed scenes where he was also rude by telephone, yelling on the tel in the early hours of the morning "you have me scassatu u c ... Not tel anymore,".
Regarding breakfast: it is only croissants and cappuccino that were served to us by the owner, slamming the tray on the table, both to us and to other customers! We were really appalled by his sleazy ways!
Anyone who approaches to do such a job should first learn to know how to relate to customers; we were never asked how we felt inside the structure, if we needed something or some indication, nor did he greet us at the end of our accommodation! Bad experience, I strongly NOT RECOMMEND!

Hotel Amadeus was the most lovely place I stayed my entire last trip to Italy. I spent four days here in June of 2011. I had a single room which was everything that I needed and had many charming attributes. It was very clean and well stocked with amenities. The rooftop garden was a favorite place to read. There is a small elevator for when you have luggage - not found at every European hotel! The staff was very friendly and made me a delicious breakfast of a chocolate filled croissant and a strong cappucino every day and I would take some fruit from the free fruit basket to have as a snack as I walked around. The Hotel is walkable from the train station and to the Castle, I did not require any transportation other than my own two feet for my entire visit. I speak Italian so there were no language barriers, I wouldn't expect much English here, but everyone is so kind I'm sure there would not be too much trouble communicating. I highly recommend this Hotel for your visit to Caserta to see the beautiful Castle or even as a home base from which to visit Napoli, just a short train ride away.
