B&B San Pietro Ischia in Ischia Town

STAY AWAY!! Host is extremely rude and threatened our lives. Third floor no elevator.

After booking the same day, we were told we can come at 15:30 (completely understandable). The host ran late and we were left out to dry in the street and look for the hotel (no signs) for around 25 minutes, to which his response was "you can cancel if you want", after which the host came, acted as if we barely exist and he isn't late while we've been in the street, coldly said "welcome" and just walked up the stairs and expected to us to follow with the carry-ons, no help offered. After climbing three floors (there is no elevator) and finding him after he ran off without checking if we're following, he uttered his second word: "passports". We expressed our disappointment by his lateness and that he didn't even acknowledge it, he responded "this is a B&B, not a 5 star hotel, you can cancel your stay if you want" (not an excuse for being extremely rude). We were disgruntled, and he told us that he doesn't want "clients who are making problems" in his hotel, locked the room and told us to leave.
Only then the exchange got heated, in which he informed us: "go ahead, write a review. If you write this in a review I will **** you. I will **** you". While we are terrified of the man who threatened us, other people deserve to know this.

We don't expect to be treated as royalty, just with basic human decency, which the host certainly did not have.
To the host, I would like to apologize for the heated exchange. It is worth noting that the exchange got heated *only* after we were told to leave the hotel.

There are better cheaper hotels nearby.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! We booked through an online booking site the day before, because we live in Naples and decided to do an overnight trip to Ischia. When we arrived at the B&B, the owner tried to charge us an extra €50 for our toddler because apparently the booking site had only stated 2 adults. Also the pictures online look nice, but the actual apartment is in a run-down building and is a lot smaller than it looks. After we found a new hotel to stay at we looked at the reviews more fully; a lot of people have had an issue with dirty sheets and the owner going in their room when they are not there (which is creepy and an invasion if privacy!) and one couple even found him on their balcony when they came back from dinner. After seeing the apartment and the owner wanting to charge us almost the amount for another room just because we have a small child (who doesn’t need a separate bed) we decided to leave and stay somewhere else and are so glad we dodged that bullet!
