BUT .....
Hygiene is a big concern. Unfortunately already after the first night we ended up getting bed bug rashes. The bathroom was also not clean, and there was dust in all the kitchen cupboards.
Room in the ground floor was too noisy as was next to the door ring bell
The painful bed bug rashes ruined the hole experience.
From Portici it's easy to get around the area with the public transport. We recommend to use the moovit app. It is a very helpful source to use the public transport efficently. From the B&B it's just a short walk to Ercolano Scavi.
