Sunbay Park Hotel in Civitavecchia

The hotel is convenience for one to two days but the front staffs is not friendly at all. The breakfast is good specially the coffee but the dinning restaurant needs to change the chefs. The room locker needs to be changed. Overall it’s good for a short period of time. However, the view is spectacular. Thank you.

Property looks like it use to be an old beautiful grand hotel that was forgotten about. One of the pools is green and trashed and not used. The restaurant is not the greatest food. The second pool is a $10fee and you have to wear a swim cap to use.
The beds were not very comfortable.
There was mold in the bathroom
And you can head everything.

Restaurant can only pay with cash. Food was poor. Couldn't even get ice. More than have the chairs were in disrepair.

For our overnight stay before our cruise we wanted somewhere close to the port. This hotel was budget friendly and a great location option.

You could tell that the hotel had been around for awhile. It was clean and quaint but there were no modern upgrades to the face or entryway. My husband and the driver laughed at the fact that he had to self serve by grabbing a trolly to unload the luggage from the taxi.

The process for checkin was short and seamless. The staff at the counter were very nice and accomodating. They assisted us with contacting taxi services to take us to and from the city centre of Civitacchia and also to the cruise port on the day of embarkation.

The elevator didnt seem fully functional. It was very old and could only fit two people at a time. Thankfully, they gave us a room on the first floor so my son and I were able to walk up to meet the elevator that held the trolly with our bags.The staircase leading to the room was dark and the lights in the corridors were very dimmly lit and seem to operate on a sensor. It was a little creepy entering and exiting the room but for the most part we did not feel unsafe.

The room and bathroom was clean and spacious...but again, we could tell that not much had been done to upgrade the aesthetics except for the wall paint and design. So anyone looking at pictures posted should manage their expectations. The breakfast buffet was small.

Overall I would say its a decent option for short term stay i.e.3 nights max.
