Porto Di Roma in Civitavecchia

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Porta di Roma. The hotel is in a quiet location, yet still close to several great restaurants, which made it very convenient. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Anna at the front desk was exceptional. I accidentally left my tablet on the airplane, and she went above and beyond to help me retrieve it. She assisted me in contacting the Delta lost & found desk at Fiumicino Airport, translated the conversation into Italian, and recommended taking the train to the airport. Her help turned a stressful situation into a manageable one, and I’m incredibly grateful. Gianni was also fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful. After a long day of traveling back from the airport, he offered us our Welcome prosecco, which was such a nice touch. We enjoyed it so much we even asked where we could buy more! Everyone we interacted with was warm, professional, and spoke excellent English, which made our stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for its service, hospitality, and convenient location.

Friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and appeared to have fairly recent updates for bathroom, windows and air conditioning. Close to great restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

We love this place. We have stayed here numerous times for a night or two before we Boarded our cruise ship. It's one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in Europe and the staff - Anna and Johnny - couldn't be more friendly and helpful. They make you an afternoon aperitif and the included breakfast is fantastic They will also arrange a van to take you over to the cruise ship. You will not be disappointed!

It may say 2* on the hotel signage but it gets 5* from me We stayed here one night only as we were sailing on a cruise leaving the port the say after Lovely location on a quiet cobbled street, rooms a spacious with air-con, clean and tidy with all necessary anemeties We did not partake of breakfast ourselves but understand from other guests that is is great Handy (central) for exploring Civitavecchia which itself is a beautiful town A free AperolSpritz upon arrival, Anna (the host) very cheery and helpful, free early check in for us too Great value, a generous glass of wine at €3 for example! Definitely stay here if you find yourselves in Civitacecchia We are sorry to be leaving

Great hotel in an excellent location - ideal for pre/post cruise or for a longer stay. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms, great public areas, delicious breakfast and fabulous staff. Faultless.

this place is outstanding on every level but especially the staff who are totally wonderful. the location is good and its just our favourite place to stay in Civitavecchia. its close to the train station ans easy to find. its great for port access if you are a cruiser. lots of places to eat and drink nearby. we like the fact that it is a small hotel but its perfect.

This hotel is a great find. Well run conveniently located for the cruise port. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need (including. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. ) . The people running the hotel are very friendly, helpful and speak good English. The breakfast is a good continental offering with great coffee (tea is also offered) . There are quite a few restaurants nearby too.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel – absolutely immaculate throughout! The rooms were spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable, and everything felt so well cared for. It’s honestly hard to believe it’s only rated 2 stars – it deserves so much more. The location was perfect, especially for those heading off on a cruise. It was ideal for spending a relaxing day before departure, and the hotel even offers a paid transfer service to the port, which was super convenient. The continental breakfast was delicious, and the staff were truly the highlight of our stay. Everyone was kind and helpful, and a special thank you to Anna, who is such a lovely and welcoming lady – she really made us feel at home. We would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!
