Reviews
Plenty of other choices including cheese, ham, croissants, cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juices, toast, jams and honey along with continental style sweet items eg. Biscuits, buns etc.
All the staff were extremely helpful, polite and kind, from the cleaners, the courtesy bus driver, receptionists and waitresses/waiters. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our room and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy. I am very particular on cleanliness and this was one of the absolute best I've ever stayed in. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh bed linen and towels every day. The air conditioning was an absolute godsend as it was 37 degrees during the day and at the lowest, 25 degrees at night. It was quiet enough to be able to sleep with it on all night.
We had a superior triple room with an enormous wrap around balcony. The king sized bed was comfortable and the bed settee was larger than a double and was ready made for us on arrival. The bathroom separated the two bed areas so our teenager had some privacy and almost effectively a room of his own both of which had comfy chairs as well. The mini bar drinks were free and we had a kettle and tea/coffee along with a safe and more than ample wardrobe space and specific suitcase stands.
The hotel was approx 6 miles from the city but the hotel courtesy shuttle went into the city and made drops at two different underground stations and pick ups as well but book ahead as it fills up quickly. Having said that we often took the tube and a short service bus ride back to the hotel on an evening. The service bus picked up right outside the underground station and dropped off within about 100 metres of the hotel. The service bus was never full and we hardly ever had to wait longer than 10 minutes for one as there are two that go past the hotel. It was well worth the extra journey to and from the city because the hotel was so clean and the staff so friendly. I had read so many bad reviews from city hotels regarding cleanliness.
We purchased a weeks Metro card for 25 Euros each from the Underground station. You can use them on the underground, buses and trams so well worth the price if you are heading into the city on a daily basis for the week.
We had a power cut at about 4am one morning and no water but the staff were fantastic and we had free bottled water and on arrival back that evening we had a free bottle of wine waiting. The power cut had affected other areas as well as our hotel but had been reconnected about 11am the same day.
The hotel was full but very quiet and we never heard anyone else's doors opening and closing.
I would highly recommend this hotel due to all the above. If you're organised then the extra travel into the city will not be a problem and is within 10 minutes reach of the nearest underground station. The distance from the city is reflected in the price of this hotel, you won't get one in the city as cheap as this with all the positives above.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful—especially Mr. Daniel, whose cappuccinos in the morning were absolutely delightful!
We truly enjoyed our time at your hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
Warm regards,
The reception staff don't smile
