YellowSquare Hostel, Rome1 / 25

Rome, Via Palestro 51 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Very nice hotel, tho it’s far from a lot of things but fun people and very clean!
Overall not bad. But be careful of your roommates may be super loud even in the quiet night at night.
Yellow Square was a great place to stay as a solo Traveler. It’s secure and clean and they have a lot of activities and info for travelers. Staff was great, really friendly and helpful. There is also a laundromat which is super convenient. Great stay!
Everything is good. It’s good place to live. In addition, they provide free drinks and pasta.
Well managed hostel! Very suitable for backpackers. Provide free drinks, kitchen to prepare light meal and laundry machine (coins- based)
Great accommodation. Location had many bus stops and a few metro stations nearby. Was easy to travel around Rome as well as make a visit to Vatican City. There’s a few mini marts and supermarkets nearby which makes it easy to grab some snacks. Had multiple restaurants to try out as well.

Very nice staff, the environment is comfortable, toilets are clean, the location is convenient
I really enjoyed my time there
The rooms and the restrooms were always clean. However I didn't like the design of the bathroom doors anybody could see your head and legs. Dinner options were very limited but breakfast had many options and was cheap. The hostel was close to the bologna metro station. It was very easy to travel to the center.
Stayed in a bunk bed room. Nice for solo travelers
This is the best couple I’ve ever stayed with! They kindly saved me the lower bunk — truly appreciated. The living space is bright and spacious, and the common areas are clean and comfortable. Very close to bus stops and metro station.Highly recommend!
The WiFi was being rationed, that’s totally out of place.

Nice environment, nice location just right close to Colosseum, Luigi who is in the reception he is extremely friendly and kind. Feel free to ask him if you need anything.
Clean hotel, reasonable price, full breakfast and most importantly, excellent and friendly staff.
Overall, it's quite good. There is a shared kitchen and the shower and accommodation environment are both excellent. However, the order states that breakfast costs 5.9 euros, but I was actually charged 8.9 euros.
Amazing place, they have best location, everywhere is so convenient and walking distance, so much to discover around
Simple but full of surprises, friendly staff, breakfast and food are available throughout the day. Very strategy location.

One of the best hostels I have slept in, reasonable prices but quality services and amenities.
I really enjoy my stay here! The room is proper and clean and the staff was very friendly. I was a bit sad when it’s time to leave because I made really good memories here. The lovely lady at the receptionist also gave me food recommendations to try. Hopefully I can come back in the future!
The hostel doesn’t have an elevator, so I had to carry my luggage to the 4th floor. The hostel is close to the bus and metro stations, and it’s good for a short stay.
Reel cute hostel. Close to collessoum. Old building have Retro vibe. And the stuff was really helpfull and kind.
The best hostel ever. Nice staff, good hygiene, occasional free dinner, good privacy and safety
Clean environment, nice staff, and great cabins. Good location, 20min to Colosseum and 15min to Termini station

A bit expensive. The location is okay but it is not near to central train station for metro. I like the rooftop bar, it is so chilled. The bathroom and toilet is clean. There is no curtain so no privacy at all. The staff are friendly and helpful, teaching me how to buy a metro ticket jn Rome. An average generator hostel I would said. Yes generator is a chain-brand hostel so the quality would be...
Amazing place to stay, with great ambiance. Perfect for solo travellers. Felt like home. Was safe and very clean. The bar tender was sweet kind guy. Highly recommended :)
Nice view, great location, comfortable bed, they cleaning everyday, You made my 3days 👍🏻 The price was abit high than my budget before my reservation but generally It was fine
We booked at the last minute and the location was perfect. The reception staff were amazing and so helpful, they should teach others how to do it properly!
A nice place to stay with your friends or Family in Rome. It is near the Termini Central Station so you can travel conveniently to many place. Also, a bus stop is just 3 minutes walking from it, so you can connect to any kind of vehicles in Rome. Best room quality and new furniture.
I like the stay overall, as the location is pretty close to Roma Termini and the room was fine. What threw me off a little was that I booked a female dormitory, but when I came in the room I saw there was a man inside. It turned out that he was brought in by my neighbour without paying and they were drinking there together. Thankfully the receptionist was understanding and sent a security to walk the...

I had an amazing stay at The Rome Hello! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The service was excellent from start to finish. The place itself was spotless, easily one of the cleanest hostels I have...
I was only there for a night, but the environment was lively with different opportunities for solo travelers to hang and chat. Welcome drink pass was given. I would definitely stay there again if I was ever back in Rome
Amazing amazing, the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Extremely clean, the rooms and en suite bathrooms were cleaned everyday, shampoo and soap were included in the shower. Very nice receptionists and overall great vibes and atmosphere. Good public areas, kitchen, and activities. Definitely worth the price. Great location near the coliseum and main train station. Met some great people here! Would highly...
First choice after 3 hotels stayed in Florence & Vatican. The breakfast and cleanliness 👍👍👍👍👍
We loved our stay — short but sweet! The staff were absolutely amazing and truly a great asset to the hostel. The bed was comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better — close to many points of interest, including Roma Termini, which made it perfect for our early train to Switzerland. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
Location is very convenient, beds are clean, but the bathrooms are inside each room and not very soundproof.

If you plan on cooking make sure that you bring 10-year-old ever do that all the areas great and also the breakfast is also amazing they also offer prepayers in the morning if you're able to catch them before everybody gets to it great value great hotel most book and stay one of my next trip
The dorms are pretty nice but the rest room doors don't lock. The staff is amazing and the volunteers are really friendly. Nearby there is a supermarket but not so many good restaurants and bars, you'll have to travel 15-20 minutes for good places to eat or dine in.
the room is very clean. the location of the room is near the fron desk and near the bar so petty noisy despite the fact that I asked for a quiet room. Other than that, great stay overall
I sprained my ankle before checking in, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful — they offered me a more accessible bed and even provided ice for my injury. The next day after check-out, I stayed in the lobby for the whole day to rest before my departure, and I truly appreciate their understanding and support. Thank you for making a difficult situation feel so much easier. 🙏
It was a nice and comfortable stay at Hostel Trastevere. Best of all, it is close to bus stops.
I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same, but in room 4, the AC was very loud, making it difficult for me to sleep. Additionally, it was clear that my blanket hadn't been washed before my arrival. The bathroom drain and sink were clogged, and it was no different from a pool.

Incredible staff! They’re extremely knowledgeable of the city and provide tips when traveling to main attractions. Provided breakfast is nice and atmosphere is relaxing.

A great place to stay in Rome for female travellers,. The facilities are very clean and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are great really friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to many of the sights of Rome and close to public transport. The neighborhood is charming and safe with plenty of nearby restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay here.
A unique place to stay. Many ages of woman and a kind of meeting place in the courtyard for woman of Rome. Clean. And excellent location to trastevere, st Marc's square, pantheon, the river, bus stops, palazzo navona and compi De fuori.
Very welcoming and in a great location! If you have the time visit the Farenese Villa half a block away. Coffee or tea in the morning and staff is always willing to help and advise.
Very nice experience meeting other female solo travelers. The vibe of the hostel is laid back and relaxing. Was easy to feel comfortable
I made so many friends here and met like minded, solo female travellers. Great kitchen and spots to hang out. There's no lock for your bag though, and only one key per room. You also have to pay in cash when you arrive. It got a bit cold at night because it was winter and there weren't many blankets. However, it's in a beautiful, safe location and I felt safe and happy while I was here. Would definitely...

Nice place. Nice stay. But a very professional approach. Might me due to cultural difference.
best hostel in rome except for location. But its near by metro so you don't have to worry
The hostel that has the semblance of an apartment, very cozy. Rooms with a few beds ( more so given that you are sleeping with strangers) very low prices and overall cleanliness excellent. Negative notes, lies quite outside, there is a direct line also of a meter to a hundred meters. Deposit keys for 10 euro. Owner not always present in structure, better to call

We stayed at Legend R.G for three nights and had a triple room booked with breakfast. We were extremely satisfied with the value we got for the price, especially given the ho(s)tel's location, situated right at the main train station. Great hostel right next to the termini train station. Free breakfast and coffee. People staying here were all nice, random bunch of people. Beds are comfy albeit a bit cramped. Toilet was clean. People working here really nice.
The hostel itself is situated in a normal apartment complex near Termini Station, which makes it adequately situated for getting to various places around the city. During the day, the door to the main courtyard is unlocked, but at night you use a key to get in, after which you use your room card to enter the hostel and your room. Although I have heard bad things about the areas around Termini, I found...
Clean sheets, good location, good people and complimentary bread in the morning. The only issue was that there was mold on the shower curtain and in the crevices of the wall tiles. Our bathroom smelled like mold and mildew but my friend was staying in a different room and had an incredible experience. His room was super clean and had no mold!
Great hostel, for the price. Free coffee in the morning and clean rooms. It's not that close to the main attractions in Rome though which would be the main downside. Overall well run place just a little far from the colosseum and such things. Very close to main train station which is handy.
Really a nice place,in center of Rome, near to termini station and totally connected to the city. Full of young people, and there is a time for free happy hour, that was so nice to socialize with the guys. Free breakfast at morning, and receptionist totally kindly and smart. For sure i'll be back here!

This hostel has been the most social I've stayed at so far, probably because it's quite small and you can't help but meet all the other guests. The free breakfast and dinner is really great, the dinner is often home made and delicious. The hostel is always kept clean and runs very well, however bathroom areas are very small spaces. A small yet friendly and warm hostel located very close to the centre of Rome. It's pretty much a 3 bedroom flat converted into a hostel and has 3-4 mixed dorms accomodating 4-6 people in each. The only area of improvement was cleanliness I'd say. Though...
I had a lot of fun here. Small, social hostel with breakfast and dinner included. It was easy to meet people to explore the city with. Fabio was very helpful and made every guest feel valued. It is not the most central location but I didn't mind. I could walk to the monuments quickly enough and the metro back if I was tired. I would stay here again if I visit Rome again.
Outstanding hostel! Seriously, been in so many of them... Yet this is very likely the best one I've ever been to. Everything perfect, especially the atmosphere created by the two brothers managing the hostel!

Good price, good roommates, relatively clean room. Mabri was a friendly and welcoming host. Unfortunately there was no common area, so it's not the best hostel for meeting people, but other than that it was a good experience. Note: I am not sure how often they change the blankets. And you may have to bring your own towel.
Funny Palace Hostel is a great place to stay in Rome. The hostel is conveniently located close to the central train station and within walking distance of several attractions. From the outset, Mabri and the staff were fantastic. The map and advice was a great help. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. The showers and bathroom were kept spotless. It was a lovely place to stay, with an extremely helpful host. The room was clean, and so was the bathroom. Check-in was flexible, and the location is unbeatable. It's very central, but not inside the utterly tourist-ridden parts of the city.
You get free wine and breakfast. The owner is very nice, the rooms are clean and I got a free upgrade! Sadly no common area or kitchen.
I felt incredibly safe staying here, it had great proximity to the city and public transportation, and the guy who checked us in gave us a free bottle of wine and planned out a trip itinerary for us! The shower had hot water, everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again :-)
They have laundry service (6 euros wash and dry). The laundry service was nice since you can drop it off and they'll put it in the dryer for you too. They even folded a few shirts for me! The rooms are basically old hotel rooms with a few single beds thrown in. There's no common room to socialize.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Great location, clean room, friendly staffs! Definitely would stay there again. Convenient location just beside the metro (30 seconds walk)…..I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels around Europe gotta admit this one has the best atmosphere. Worth every penny!
It was a great place! Everything is quite accessible and the stuff is very polite and attentive to their guests. I’d love to mention particularly the owner Marco who truly cares about the comfort of the visitors and very eager to help any time you might need it. Very nice experience, we’ll certainly stay there again on our next trip to Rome.
I wasn't expecting much from this hostel, but it surprised me! The staff is simply phenomenal, with a positive attitude at all times and a social atmosphere; yes, do not expect minimalistic modern rooms or beds, but they serve their purpose just fine, and the location is unbeatable! There are already dozens of restaurants, bars, and bakeries right outside, and overall you get a good bang for your buck...
Honestly took a bit of convincing for me to leave! I really can't find anything bad to say about this hostel. Such a friendly and fun staff. This hostel creates a wonderful atmosphere for meeting people and making friends with fellow travelers. I highly recommend!
I had a really great time in this Hostel. They have a large common room where is easy to meet people. My room had a good A/C and was pretty big. The room was clean and Staff was very nice and helped me a lot to find some cool places in Rome. Really Appreciated.
Nice, clean, friendly. Not 5 stars because they pretended it to be able to accept card payment (even simple debit card), but after insisting they actually did and the transaction went through perfectly.
