They changed my hostel when I arrived there at middle of the night. But it was still a good substitute. I stayed at borgo ripa urban travel. It was better located. Rooms have single beds and no privacy like in the other dormitories. But still their staff was friendly and overall it was satisfactory experience. Good thing was it also had Beddit and water cleaning shower for toilets.

It was a great stay there as a solo traveler. The staffs were pretty friendly. Unlike the other hostel, they don't have any access card but their rooms and washroom are all have password and they will give you the password written in a paper.

Not very good experience. The room is not very tidy, and the air in toilet is not fresh as there is no window in the toilet. The mattress is very soft and cannot support me.

Receptionist quite friendly and helpful. The bed very good to sleep😁

Everything is nice, just the room is a bit cold for me, maybe because of winter :)

Amazing experience! Great rooms, staff, and people to meet! Needed to boom an extra night and did it through their website which was much easier and cheaper, highly recommend doing!

The staff were very helpful, there is free luggage storage as well and it's very close to everything. You get all your basic amenities as well. Kudos to the hotel staff

Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Rome! The host, Mabri, was extremely kind and helpful in sharing the best places to visit. Located very close to the Rome train station, we were able to walk to the property upon arriving and then walk throughout Rome during our trip without needing to take the bus or train one time. We had a great stay at Funny Palace! The staff was very kind and gave us AMAZING recommendations on how to navigate Rome. One of the owners/managers (I’m assuming) used to be a tour guide, and annotated a map showing us the most efficient way to see Rome, and highlighted any key spots we should visit. The accommodation was very close to a train station, but we only used it when we entered/exited Rome...

Decent place in a great location for a very affordable price. Reception was very kind and helpful.

Two Ducks Hostel exceeded my expectations for a hostel and especially with some of the reviews I have read. They allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early. Rooms were large and very clean. We saw them cleaning when we arrived as well. This hostel has an elevator which was amazing as most older buildings do not. When other guests arrived on day 2, the bathroom was clearly more dirty but...

Great place to stay for young people travelling. Great location and comfortable beds. Anis welcomed us at reception and could not have been nicer.

Great hostel, very helpful receptionist and in that price this is the best place to stay in Rome. The rooms are large and very clean and it's quiet. Near to the termini station.

+ Good location (near main station) + Good room for the price - No towels (even for additional price, they just don’t have it). Quite dissapointed, cause in the pictures they show towels on beds. - Cold in the room, there were additional blankets in the wardrobe, but it was still cold - Room had a shower, but not a toilet. There’s only one toilet and it’s shared.

Location is very good. But a little difficult to find it. Room are nice.

Very nice BnB. Good location. Restaurants, shops, metro, bus station are all nearby. Beds are very comfortable, room is spacious, everything is neat and tidy. The owner is a quick responder and helps at any time of the day.

Hostel Beautiful

The only reason it's not a 1/5 is because of the price and location. You get what you pay for, I guess. Not sure if it was just bad luck, but my room didn't have any hot water lol so um yea have fun showering at 2am. There is ZERO noise isolation from outside so the room is insanely noisy. No towel. The bunkbed's steps are shaky and noisy.

1 star for the location near Termini 2nd star: cheap, the receptionist was friendly 3 star: private bathroom, common room and a microwave. deductions: no warm water. I addressed the issue and someone was sent to fix it but it only lasted a day. I shower twice a day when I spend most of the day walking. stayed a few days and only two showers were warm. the rest was lukewarm at best. I think there was...

There's no hot water, and the kettle in the kitchen is too dirty to use.

There's no kitchen area and they need to turn on the heating.

It's fine. Maybe they should have sheets because the comforter only irritated me. It's also not good not having 24-hour reception, since if there's an issue, you can't call, make a complaint, or request a room change.

The bed is quite small, air conditioner isnt working well, kind of hot. Seperare bathroom in your room. The most stupid thing is there is a late check in fees even though you have contacted them through directly phone call.

They wanted 2 euro per person for early breakfast, but at the start they said they would do it for free

New Generation Hostel Rome Center exceeded all my expectations with its clean facilities, friendly atmosphere, and central location. Special recognition goes to Andrea, whose exceptional hospitality made my stay truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Rome.

The staff was friendly and the location was good, but the air conditioning didn't work.

A great option for female solo travelers, according to my experience the area was safe, near to most attractions and most of the staff were nice, willing to help and friendly. I enjoyed my stay here, would recommend!

The reception is super! It is the hostel and you cannot expect the cleanliness as a hotel with this price. The toilet is ok and location is perfect, between the main station Termini and the sightseeing spots!. Love this

It’s very safe here with an excellent access control system. Mike is really nice, professional and highly experienced. You can always go to him if you have any issues. Highly recommended. The place is cleaned very regularly and thoroughly. The terrace has a great view — I even cooked there. Everything is convenient. Thank you!

I had an amazing stay at Hostel Castello Maggione in Rome truly a 5-star experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready with great tips about the city. The location is perfect close to major attractions and well connected by public transport, making it super easy to explore Rome. The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed...

It's a small inn with only a few rooms. The owner, Mike, is very kind. However, the kitchen and corners of the rooms are a bit dusty, so I think it would be even better if they could improve that.

The host was very kind and friendly, always smiling and welcoming, and always willing to help me with any questions or requests. I am very grateful. The room was cleaned daily by staff and kept tidy. The room is centrally located, making it very convenient to get to tourist attractions. I checked out at 11 am but left my luggage until 3:30 pm. This is a huge plus.

Very clean! Would be even better if the windows could be fitted with some soundproofing strips.

If the quality is not high and the budget is limited, you can live there. There is no key or access card after check-in. The landlord Mike is very nice. If you trust him and you can put large luggage in the room.

I could not get my Saily internet working so...

It's a cozy and nice hostel with only one room for 4 people. Since there are few guests, the draw was good and I got some good people. I think I'll go there next time I stay in Rome.

I am definitely coming back to stay in this property if I am in Rome.

The place is peaceful and lovely. The sisters are very friendly, patient, helpful. The rooms are large, well air conditioned, and replenished with fresh towels daily. The city connections are great. The tram is only a few steps away. Sublime

Rooms were comfortable with a fan but would benefit from some sort of curtains or makeshift barriers to block lighting between beds for night-time. We really enjoyed staying here! The staff was very kind and accommodating. My bed was comfy, room was clean and large, I felt very safe, and the showers and bathrooms were nice! I would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Rome on a budget.

I spent there 5 nights. It was peaceful. There is a heating system, showers and hot water. I see that the place ( esp toilets) could be more clean and it needs renovation. There are two rooms separated by a 3/4 wall so it was a bit noisy. The staff are nice and helpful. The guests ladies are very nice, and the place is very safe! It is a good place to stay if one is visiting Rome for a few days.

We stayed at Rome Experience after a long day of cycling and were really pleasantly surprised. The little courtyard for storing our bikes was perfect, the location was super easy to find, and the receptionist was genuinely lovely and so helpful. It's fairly bare bones kinda place. There is a nice rooftop hangout spot. The bunk rooms are very basic. The power outlets are scarce, not good ventilation and crowded. I appreciate the staff and the energy of this hostel. This place really grew on me. You can walk 2km and Colosseum is there as well as the view from just toilet or terrace is very beautiful. You just have to walk around and discover this part of Rome. I would recommend Materia cafe that is 8min walk away from here.
