Portafortuna Guest House

I stayed in this Hotel with my girlfriend. Now we feel scamed.
Being honest, I have no idea on how they received such good comments. They barely deserve 1 star.
- The rooms are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in comparison with the ones they offer. They are very little and uncomfortable.
- No lifter (you must walk up an inclined stairway)
- An Asiatic hotel, in which the receptionist doesn't speak any Italian and barely some english words (enough for the Check in/out)
- Horrible odor at the reception.
- Damaged rooms, with too much humidity and bad smell as well.
- Halfway constructed kitchen (even though it was not requested. It uses too much space. Useless)
- The bedS (it is not a double bed, instead they are 2 singles together, even though we asked for one) are hard as a ROCK (mattress?)
- Dirty bed sheets
- Heating doesn't work well, it turns off automatically DURING the night (in plain Winter)
- Water leaks from the bottom of the WC when it's flushed.
- In the inner garden there's a broken rocking chair.
- The illumination is insufficient.
- The air conditioner artifact makes annoying sounds.
- The fridge was dirty and rusty in the inner part.
- One side of the bed has a pedestal table, the other not, which means you need to leave everything on the floor.
- The rooms are poorly cleaned. There are dirty things everywhere.

The ONLY good things are that the receptionist is quite friendly and the shower.
I would't pay this, don't waste your money in this hotel. It's your decision.

This place was cheap, convenient and friendly, but very little English spoken as it's run by Chinese and is on the edge of China town. Don't be put off by this if you're on a tight budget.
