Hotel Poseidon in Terracina

One of the best hotels I’ve ever visited - and this is my second stay in Poseidon for the second year in a row- spacious and very clean rooms, every detail is taken care of, amazing balcony were you can get the smell of roses from the garden with the sea breezes, very nice breakfast, clean pool, few meters from the best beaches in Terracina, the staff are amazing, very friendly and super helpful. Every time we leave Italy looking forward for our next trip there because of this amazing hotel.

Stayed for a week on family vacation and are very happy with the hotel and recommend it for other travellers. Good value for the money.

Logistics:
We arrived by train from Rome. Hotel arranged a taxi pickup service from the train station in Monte San Biagio (about 20 min drive from hotel). Taxi cost around 30 EUR.

Hotel is nicely located some 50m or so from the beach.

Rooms:
As per expectation in a 3-star hotel in Italy. Plain rooms, somewhat old interior but always felt clean and fresh. Double bed, small desk, wardrobe, small kitchenette with basic equipment to cook simpler meals, fridge. Bathroom with shower, dryer. Daily cleaning service.

Breakfast:
Buffet type of breakfast with youghurt, bread, butter, marmelades, cheese, ham, eggs, traditional Italian pasteries, and juices. Barrista service.

Services and facilities:
Pool area with sunbeds which were nicely separated in pairs by small hedges. Almost always sunbeds available. Most people go to the beach so very calm and quiet by the pool. Pool guard.

Free parking.

Bar open daytime (until approx 20.00) for drinks (and ice cream)

Excellent help from reception on what to do and see, what restaurants to visit etc.

Surroundings:
Nearby (5-10 min walk) to Conad supermarket.

Hotel does not have any sunbeds on the beach. The closest service provider "La Conchiglia" charges 18EUR for two sunbeds and one umbrella. Closeby providers charges about 15 EUR for the same. There is no discount for hotel guests.

Several of the sunbed providers on the beach offers light lunches (pasta, sallads, sandwiches) and a few of them are open evenings for dinner.

City centre - It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the city centre where there are more shops and restaurants than by the hotel. Bus service is available and the hotel also offers bikes.

Great location close to the beach, it is a few kms from the Main Street but if you like walking it isn’t an issue.
Breakfast included was also nice and includes a lot of options to choose from.
Rooms were nice and tidy.
Service at reception was exceptional, would definitely recommend 😊

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and it was perfect! Very clean rooms, the staff was always very kind, friendly and helpful! The pool is amazing and we were able to relax and have fun with our 2 kids! Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options!
Paid parking was available behind and beside the hotel.
Our room was always sparkling clean and tidy!
They also had the bar open in the evening which was ideal! We would definitely go back again! I highly recommend this place!

I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel in September 2019. I was in Terracina for business and stayed for two nights. The hotel seemed to be a typical place for holidaymakers. It was also loaded with tourists. The rooms were a little bit outdated but they were all right. I had a small veranda which was nice. The best was its location a few minutes of walking from the beach. For holidays this must be a very good place.

Conveniently located 40 m from the beach and 200 m from a large hypermarket. The staff is kind and helpful. There is paid parking available on the premises but we parked on the street just outside the hotel fence. There's plenty of room. The rooms have kitchennets with all necessary cutlery and dishes. The furniture may be outdated but it's clean. The only minus is that we stayed for a night in room 113 which had a very bad smell in it.

Nice pool, good breakfast, nice staff. A good experiance

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Good beds. Have stayed here twice on both sides of the building and sitting outside in the evening sharing good local wine before heading out to eat (try La Perla, it's just a block or two away from the hotel) is wonderful on either side.
