Hotel Aurora in Sperlonga

Charming property on the beach. Our rooms were facing the water with large windows that opened up to a mini balcony. Service was very friendly and professional and the hotel was extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay to celebrate our 30th annniversary. The staff were all very anttentive and knew enough English to communicate with my minimal Italian. The views are stunning and we loved watching the sunset every night from our balcony. The decor could be called a little dated, but it was so charming! We especially enjoyed the on-site restaurant/bar. What an amazing place to sit and have a cocktail or a glass of wine every evening. Highly recommend!

The place has an excellent location. A lovely beach and the hotel offers an excellent breakfast and lunch. There are plenty of dinner spots nearby.

We have just returned from a wonderful nine-day holiday in Hotel Auora,Sperlonga. Our fourth. The private well-run beach is 30 seconds from reception ,and the town, with the beginning of the old town, is 30 seconds the other way, with many restaurants and shops. The breakfast was so easy and unfussed. The rooms were crisp and clean, and we had a sea view which was wonderful and sent you to sleep listening to the waves! But the best part of the Hotel Auora was the staff. So friendly and happy at their work it created a great atmosphere around the Hotel. They were genuinely helpful and attentive. The Gagliardi family have being running this hotel for a long time now and old-fashioned values with modern customer service makes it a unique experience . We will be back . Beautiful Hotel Aurora is Sperlonga’s jewel in the crown. The beach front hotel is perfectly located for the old town, the Villa of Tiberius, many eateries and shops. Our family occupied three rooms in the hotel each with its own different and spectacular view. Communication with Giuseppe and Manuela via email and WhatsApp re which rooms would best suit us, as well as, providing other information, booking taxis etc. was smooth and very helpful. The spacious hotel, with a quiet floral garden and a terrace overlooking the sea, is very tastefully furnished in an Italian style and is kept clean to a high standard. The plentiful, delicious breakfast offers much choice as does the lunch menu. In addition, there is a choice of two daily specials for lunch as well as the sea catch of the day. The meals at the hotel’s Nautilus Lunch Restaurant were the ones we enjoyed the most whilst in Sperlonga. Most importantly, I must comment on the wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. From those on reception, to the waiters, waitresses, cleaners and the two hotel stewards on the beach. A superb team, all working together to provide an amazing stay. Our only regret was leaving. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Aurora, the room was delightful, especially the terrace, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our lunch at the restaurant on the Verandah was delicious. I rate this hotel very highly and hope I get the opportunity to go back.

As expected we had 9 wonderful days here at the Aurora. An absolute gem! This small family run hotel never disappoints. The staff - most of whom have been here since we started coming here in 2019- ensure that every interaction and experience is a positive one. The hotel itself is always spotlessly clean and has the most amazing sea views to the front and peaceful flower filled garden to the rear.

Just the best Hotel we have been to. Only found it when searching on the inet ( No one in NZ we know had any idea of Sperlonga) ! We could not get a booking on this trip (2024) at the Aurora but had all of our lunches there. Such lovely staff & owners. Food is just soooo good. All going well will get a booking this year 2025.
