Excellent price/quality, colazione included. Charming and lovely vintage atmosphere. Friendly and professionnal staff
Beautiful view of Genova without any vis-à-vis. Close to the center with a short metro trip
Very old and tired. Also, currently undergoing renovation on the upper floors
Although probably on the wrong side of the port for tourists, the hotel was clean, staff were friendly. And easy to get to places with local transport.
Very good hotel, the room is a bit small. Convenient transportation
Can't say it's great, can't say it's bad. My experience was pretty fine. Rooms have a little bit dark vibe in them, cleaning is good, meal is at the good level, services are quite ok
It was very close to the station, so it was convenient for traveling with a suitcase. It's a shame that the room was dimly lit. The room had a certain lived-in feel
There was a kettle and coffee and tea facilities in the room. The shower booth was a little too small, so I think it would be difficult for overweight people
Very good location for cruise passengers. Ealking distance. Also walking distance to train station.
Very nice hotel and a great location. The sound isolation was very poor
Enjoy. Very good hotel, near to restaurants, trains, old town.
The evening receptionist was really friendly and helpful and helped us decide where to go for the evening! I recommend this hotel if your looking for value for money but if your looking for something up market luxury this place isn't for you!
Great stay
Room was spacious, very clean, modern. You need to set your temp with front desk, not controlled from inside room. Room had refrigerator, did not work. You could use refrigerator at front desk
Breakfast not on site, 2 min walk away. The actual short walkway street it is on, maybe a little shady at night, but off a main street, so all good. 15 min easy walk from main train station Principle
Hotel was clean and the service was excellent really nice and polite people. The bathroom and actual room were separated but we didn’t have to share it with anyone which was good
Excellent value for your euros or dollars or whatever your currency may be. Friendly staff, homey atmosphere and excellent advice about places to see in Genoa and thereabouts
Nice and clean rooms for a fair price, located in the center of Genova, near the Harbour (Porto Antico)
Great, clean hotel and very friendly service. I like that you set your breakfast for the next morning in advance and food is not wasted. Very close to Corso Italia as well as the beach, on foot.
A stone's throw from the seafront and convenient for those who go to Gaslini for visits (10 minutes). Breakfast served no longer as a buffet but just as vast and abundant
Amazing hotel and amazing staff. We had been in several hotels across Italy and this was by far the best. The staff were amazing, funny and very helpful. The rooms were well decorated and clean
Much better value for money than big chain. Very agreeable staff, spacious rooms and a great attention to details to satisfy guests. Breakfast is also excellent. We will be back
Parking was €10 and right in front of the hotel. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel as well that takes you to the historical centre
The ticket shop was just down the street and we were just a short walk from the shore and Boccadasse. Highly highly recommend staying here
We enjoyed our stay at hotel Major. The room was clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance to the city center, attractions, shopping, and dining.
This is a hidden gem in Genova. I stayed here for two nights in a room with a private bathroom. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities you might need
The location is excellent—right in the heart of the old town—but be prepared to use the stairs, as it’s an old building. I would definitely come back if I visit Genova again
Had a great stay for one night here. Central location, clean room (mini fridge included), and very friendly reception. We were on the top floor which had many stairs to climb. Overall great value for the price
One word: lovely! In the middle of old town, very price-worthy and convenient, competent people. Will definitely consider coming back here.
There is a bar but there is really no room to sit down and enjoy a drink or a meal. A breakfast option is available but it is not a hot breakfast and one would have to eat in their room

Good design hotel
It has the best design packed with music history and equipment, and room is clean and comfort with good design, it also offered bags carry. I'd very good experience.
A very good hotel for a short stay. It's close to the port and pleasant. The noise is still quite present, but it stops around midnight.
The bedding could use replacing; it's quite unpleasant to feel the springs.
Had large, clean, bright room with private bath and AC facing the harbour, a bit noisy during the day with the window open but fine at night. nice décor of musical items, one of the owners Roberto is a musician
Around the property a little sketchy. About a block from more touristy old town. Everyone was lovely, I was there with my daughter so possibly different view of area if wasn't on high alert mode
Very helpful and nice hotel staff
An excellent hotel in a perfect location near the train station and the Flixbus stop, and right next to a bus stop with a direct connection to the airport. Comfortable, spacious, and clean rooms and bathrooms
This Hotel had the best service I have ever experienced when traveling especially abroad. The gentleman at the reception set the bar so high, that the other hotels I have stayed in cannot compare
The breakfast service was outstanding and very delicious. Finally they let me leave my backpack and heavy items at the hotel while I visited Genoa. Book with them you wont regret it
Great location, comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, and the staff were just fantastic, incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall it was a fantastic value.
Great hotel near Port, trains and rail stations. This hotel whilst rated as 2 star has everything you need for your stay. Our room was large and comfortable
Excelent hotel near the train station and bus station, very clean, friendly staff, the room was wonderful, confy bed, clean towels, hairdryer, tv
We found this hotel by searching on Google, and we were pleasantly surprised by its quality. We stayed in 3 rooms with my family and a bambino. You can tell they did a great job of renovation
The rooms were clean and in good condition. They had air conditioning, which was a plus because we were there on very hot days. The furniture and bathrooms were new. We chose to pay for breakfast and it was worth it
Clean hotel. Silent, despite being in the alleyways. Friendly and kind staff. We stayed here with our dog (a Weimar bracco). Other hotels refused us because the dog was too big. They don't. Perfect in hospitality.
The people in charge were very friendly and treated us very well. Central location, you can walk around the historic center, and get to the old port by crossing the street
good stuff and very good location
It is great location, and good breakfast. Rooms are very clean. But view is realy not nice at all.For one night it was ok.We were there two weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of the staff here. It was the height of mosquito season and try provided a couple things to make the room more comfortable
Very engaging patron and manager, right from my first telephone enquiry. Met me in my car and directed me to secure parking, saw me to the hotel, checked me in, directed me to nearby restaurants for supper
my stay was two months for work commitments, I found everything I needed to stay, I thank in particular my friend Agostino always present and available. Thanks again for the birthday thought Cristiano
Carefully explained access and security. Bedroom comfortable and with a small balcony to view the main street. So obliging and helpful with a cheery good bye as I left
Hotel with a good quality/price ratio. It is very convenient to the historic center and the main shops. I found it quiet and clean with all the necessary services
A beautiful hotel, very well kept and well located in the heart of the city. Excellent welcome and excellent cleanliness
Just 300 metres from De Ferrari Metro Station, this family-run guest house offers bright rooms with a flat-screen TV. The Genoa Acquarium and the San Lorenzo Cathedral are a 12-minute walk away. Rooms have parquet floors and pastel décor.
We are a senior couple, Over the last 8 years, we have stayed at Astro 4 times always for weeks at a time. Astro has always been a great experience, first it is the perfect location, then the staff is the absolute best
We give them top marks on everything
There was a constant odor of either a sewer or perhaps garbage from Il Mercato Orientale coming through my open window which I left open for some fresh air. There was no fresh air :) I would definitely stay here again
Located on the 5th floor, it might be challenging to reach as there is only one, small elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, you could be in trouble. The room was small, but clean and comfortable
There is a tiny fridge, tv and a communal dining room. There is 24-hour check in and the rooms lock with a regular key. This is a no-frills hotel in a great location
This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Genoa. It is close to the train station, shopping, restaurants, bus lines, etc
The hotel is close to the train station of Genova Brignole, it deserves plenty of stations, there’s even local stores you could visit, and even beaches so close of this spot
The room was very cozy and nice. The quality/price ratio was really good for a 1-star hotel in high season. The only drawback was the outside noise from traffic
It was very clean, the room was modern and the beds were also ok (little bit hard). Although the location was not perfect (20 minutes walk to the centrum), we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very nice.
Well connected to all of Genoa, including Boccadasse. The bus stop is just around the corner. Friendly and professional staff. Convenient vending machine for snacks and coffee
I don’t understand why people rate this hotel that low. The AC runs pretty well, you can’t say it doesn’t work, because you feel the difference when you’re in and out
The rooms were clean and well organized. Nice service, especially the boy who was at the reception: 3
I would stay here again, because I have already solved all the mysteries of the check-in, but for an elderly person who does not speak a foreign language well, or who does not have a means of communication, this is very discourteous
the wifi didn't work, it was a bit complicated to get into the apartment, the bathrooms were not very clean/maintained (showers mainly) and the kitchen was not fully equiped and it was not the cleanest
The house is very specifically located among the hill, the hotel is located on the fifth floor of the house, the entrance to the house is on the first floor and on the sixth floor on the back side (up the stairs), the navigator will certainly lead you to the first floor (which is logical), there you will even see button with the name of the hotel, but by clicking on it you will not receive a response
Follow directions to tbe address but dont expect anyone to be waiting at the gate. Pass through the open gate and enter the building. Go down the stairs, until you see Leone's door plaque
I’m forced to give 1 star for the service because I almost turned gray trying to get into the hotel and I absolutely don’t understand the administrator’s motivation
When you check in it is best to get a number 36 to the castle and walk from there. Sunny was very helpful on arrival and departure. He stored our luggage for us and helped carry our case outside
AC not functioning but acceptable in Spring season.
Facility is quite old.
Room toilet quite small and below average condition.
Lift is quite small.
Overall though, the staff has been the highlight of both of our stays, they were really lovely and looked after us in such a caring way that should we go to Genoa again we wouldn't manage to go anywhere else, we really felt pampered and at home at the same time
> walkable distance to nice restaurants and shops
> few steps away from train station
> tasty breakfast, buffet
> friendly staff
> free luggage storage after and before check in
I totally recommend!
The hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from the train station, making it a good stopover if you're taking a cruise. The hotel is a bit old, but it does have two vintage elevators
When I chose this hotel amongst others and I booked a room for the beginning and again for the end of my tour of Liguria with my son, I knew I was booking a very good place
I absolutely loved the whole experience: the hotel is really beautiful, the rooms we had were bright, clean, spacious and both had a stunning view
The room was in two floors with a sofa, chair and a low table at the lower floor and a bed and a chair on a mezzanine, accessible from a steep staircase, which is rather impractical if you have to use the bathroom during the night
The hotel does not have a lobby and is occupying one floor in a building also housing private residents, and check-in is done at another hotel across the small square
While we were lost in our walk toward the hotel pulling our suitcases on the cobblestone area surrounding the hotel, we called the hotel and asked them for help
Arriving late evening also meant navigating past some sinister characters hanging around in the narrow streets and *********** offering their services
Our first contact with the hotel right before checking in was problematic
Breakfast is only available at the other hotel across the square
We booked 2 rooms: one for my parents and the other for myself. While mine didn't have much issues, the bin in my parents' room was not cleared and there were strands of hair on some of the towels
We initially booked a suite because the room description listed one double bed and one single bed. I have a 3-year-old child, and double beds in Europe are generally small, so we chose a suite
What we both encountered was that the water pressure would become very low during peak times, making showering virtually impossible
Excelent room with loads of space. Everything was clean and organized.
The hotel is in a very good location, about 200 meters from the central railway station, with convenient transportation. The hotel service is very considerate
Our room was really big (at least 20m2) had an original Fresco on the a sealing! The owner was super nice and helpful
This was a family run hotel and they made sure that their guests were happy and comfortable. At check in, the owner gave us a map of the area and pinpointed the main streets and attractions
The room turned to be a pleasant surprise. I booked a room with 3 beds, expecting a small room like anywhere in Europe, but we were given an appartment. The room was quiet and the beds comfortable
It's super convenient that it's only a few minutes from the train station
Very nice hotel, extraordinarily friendly and supportive staff, location close to the station Principe as well as the old town amazing, room small but totally enough, clean, comfortable bed, closet, AC 🙌🏽, water boiler for coffee and tea and even a fridge, can highly recommend and would always come back :)
It was a lovely hotel I enjoyed every minute of my stay there just that I heard to check out early then planned. I would definitely recommend and will come back when next I am in town.
The staff were lovely, and our room was beautifully furnished, with even the bathroom lighting being just perfect 😀. The late check-out was incredibly convenient (what a relief!)
10 min by taxi from stazione and you are in via XIX Settembre. Staff is lovely as well as breakfast on open terrace. Definitely recommend!
P.S. just very narrow bed - could be dangerous for a big person.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is fantastic for exploring the city, and everything was spotlessly clean
Great location and within walking distance of all the key cites in Genoa. Clean and comfortable rooms. Recommended.
Great location, good cleanliness, staff very friendly. I recommend this hotel.
Positives: modern, contemporary, spacious, clean. The location is an easy walk to places to eat, shopping, some historical features. Washing machine meant we could wash clothes while travelling, always a bonus
Messaged the team and it was acknowledged but no one came to fix it, or if they did we certainly didn’t get a message back to say why it wasn’t fixed. -shower is tiny to move around in
-no plug for kitchen sink so had to wash dishes in a kitchen pot. No bowls to mix up a salad in so had to use cooking pot. Kitchenette is just missing a couple of essential items
Humidifier helps keep the air a little fresher as it is a little dark. Very safe and secure with private entry and heavily locked doors. Stayed four nights in superior studio
-coffee sachets don’t get replaced during daily servicing. Same with bottles of water but not sure if you just get one bottle per person regardless of how long you stay

It's in the center of Genoa and just a few meters from the port, so everything is convenient. The room was clean and spacious enough. Breakfast was also good. We had a great time.
The property is in an excellent location for visiting Genoa's main attractions. It's managed by wonderful and kind people. The property is clean and well-maintained
I stayed at this B&B for two nights. It's on the third or fourth floor, and the elevator doesn't work, which isn't very convenient with suitcases
I'd like to know more about the breakfast, such as fresh bread, not always croissants
The room is spacious and clean, and the breakfast is plentiful
The kitchen, where breakfast is served, is also on the same floor. The building has several floors; the B&B is on the second floor, which has an elevator. The building is in need of some maintenance
