We stayed at Matilde Hotel for the 1st time this October and it was a wonderful 3 days stay. We had 2 rooms for my mum, sister and I. We originally wanted to stay at another hotel but we are glad we stayed here instead. The rooms are HUGE considering Milan's small rooms sometimes, the room is very clean and the location is superb. Karl from the front desk is also super friendly, very kind and one of the nicest we have met. If you ever come to Singapore pls let us know and we will bring you around!

Location is perfect for the hotel in middle of Dumou area. Staff were okay and helpful in taxi arrangements and fast.
Disadvantages:
-Room is overused and everything is falling apart
-Not clean and smells
-No security at all as anyone can come in hotel and leaves

My room had a horrible sewer smell, but they refused to change it, saying it was a problem they had already solved. It was never solved, and it got worse every day. Additionally, we were without air conditioning for a day and a half on two floors. They told us the technician wasn't responding, so we had to wait. In short, an experience I wouldn't wish on any tourist.

The hotel is in a great location close to the duomo. The room was a great size and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful (except breakfast staff)
There were a lot of things we noticed that were really not befitting of a 4 star hotel.
The towels were absolutely threadbare and not suitable as towels. Multiple towels had holes in them (see pictures). The room was also quite noisy next to the tram line- however this was somewhat expected but you should be aware it mad sleeping a little challenging.
At breakfast, one of the (head?) waitresses was verbally berating a junior waiter whilst we were having breakfast. That was quite unprofessional and not a pleasant experience to watch. No lactose free milk at breakfast (was told it had run out).
The food choice at breakfast was ok, but we had better breakfast at most other hotels during our 3 week stay in Italy.
The overall price was very high, and for that we expected much better service. Our perception was the hotel was cost cutting wherever they could.

Karl is truly an exceptional employee. He impressed us with his high level of professionalism, intelligence, and quick thinking in every situation. He was always attentive, proactive, and ready to assist us with anything we needed, making our stay much smoother and more enjoyable. His problem-solving skills and warm attitude made a big difference in our experience. The hotel is very lucky to have him, and it is important that they keep such a valuable and talented team member.

Lovely Hotel
Lovely hotel in the middle of Milan. Easy access to all sites. Exceptionally clean and very friendly staff. Only downside was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

This elegant and charming hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Milan—just a 2-minute walk from the Duomo. You couldn’t ask for a better base to explore the city.
We personally stayed in the suite, which was spacious and had everything one could need for a comfortable 2–3 day stay. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and tastefully designed with high-quality finishes.
Breakfast was generous and more than complete by my standards, with a good variety to start the day right. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more pleasant.
While the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, the Autosilo Diaz garage is only 200 meters away and offers a convenient 24-hour rate of around €30.
One small tip: it would be great to provide a black makeup towel in the bathroom to avoid staining the beautiful white ones!

Very ambiguous. On the one hand - the center of Milan, on the other hand - crowds of people around and everything connected with it. The service is good - friendly staff. The rooms themselves are not at all thought out, although everything seems to be there. Breakfasts are so-so. In my opinion, it does not correspond to the price/quality ratio at all. Definitely not a boutique hotel.

Thank you Trip Coins for introducing such a beautiful hotel. It is convenient for transportation, not dangerous even late at night, and it is safe for two women. There are many restaurants in the room, and you can see the Dome Cathedral right on the main road.

The hotel was very good in general. The receptionists and hotel staff were all very friendly. The decor was nice too. But it was quite noisy because of the location. You have to be able to cope with the noisy trains. The hotel has a restaurant and the service there was totally different from the hotel’s. The restaurant staff was not attentive and some of them were a bit rude. Breakfast was below expectations.
