Hotel Centrale in Milan

We made a mistake with the date when booking on Tripadvisor. After completing the booking and payment, I realized it immediately. So I asked to cancel so I could book again.

They refused! A room booked for 5 people!
You're dishonest! You prioritized money over customer loyalty!
What a shame!

This hotel is the worst, bar none.
First, the room we were given was not the double room we paid for, and it didn't match the photos shown. It had only a narrow bed, a small nightstand on one side, and a slit in the curtains on the other side—it was impossible to walk into. There was only one set of towels and other items. The first receptionist admitted the misassignment, saying the room was full and it was already nighttime, so there wasn't enough for two people. We had to sleep on the sofa in the lobby. Milan's streets are still unsafe, and I doubt the police would even care if something happened.
Second, when we entered the room, we looked in the bathroom and saw the shower head was broken and kept hanging down.
Third, we waited in the lobby until 10 a.m. to see the person who was in charge of bookings, who was very apathetic and denied the wrong room. They said it was the person who said it was the wrong room, not him. So, does that mean the two people aren't employees of the same hotel? Their words were completely irresponsible and inconsistent. We argued until midnight. They clearly discriminated against Chinese people, and the police wouldn't even bother with Chinese affairs. Our trip was severely damaged financially and mentally because the subsequent tickets we booked were also delayed. This left us with a very bad impression of *** as a country, especially its people. The front desk service was terrible. The room was uncomfortably hot. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here again.
