Resort Fiocco di Neve Relais & Spa in Limone Piemonte

Convenient location in the center, nice hotel, comfortable rooms, I would say a 4 star, BUT... how can they declare it a 5 star?? Have they never seen one?? There is no common area, apart from the breakfast room, no living room where you can maybe stop and read, they put two sofas in the hall, ridiculous! No outdoor space, no garden, no terrace, no balcony!! The spa, which is included in the price everywhere, costs €30 per person, crazy!!! In short, we felt cheated, if it hadn't been for the good will of the staff who did everything to accommodate us, we would have left earlier than expected. We will NOT return

Too bad. I have been to this facility several times, which unfortunately has changed management. The standard has dropped, but the prices have risen. We arrive in the evening after dinner and are greeted by a person who immediately shows us his anxiety because he is having trouble checking in due to a server problem. My husband had left his car outside in front of the garage because there was no one at reception and this person snaps and says "eh no eh! Cars have to come in and out there" and then makes the effort to accompany him to park (but aren't there usually valets in luxury hotels?). However, he finally accompanies us to the room, obviously making the wrong first room, then we finally get to the right one. Nice and clean room, as always. View of the wall of a building. Without air conditioning, which in July 2024 is unacceptable even in the mountains, especially in a luxury hotel with certain rates. For the rest, everything is neither good nor bad. Standard breakfast. No particular attention to the customer (I forgot toothpaste and earplugs: they don't have earplugs, as toothpaste they gave me a used tube that I obviously threw away). On the last day we decided to go to the spa even though we were with our 3 year old daughter because we were sorry not to do it since it had always been included. (The daughter came with us, but obviously she couldn't do the sauna and Turkish bath). Small spa, nothing exceptional, but I already knew it. When it came to the bill we paid: 700 euros for the two nights (which I had also booked a month before with a phantom offer), 60 euros for the spa (always included, obviously. Since it's the only service they have), 30 euros for parking too. 17 euros minibar: took a bottle of water and 1 of lemonade. Tourist tax charged twice. Not worth the expense, look around and don't let yourself be fooled. We won't be back.
