Villa Daphne

Just returned from spending the last two weeks at this hotel and what a brilliant time we have had. All the staff are amazing and from the minute we walked through the doors and were met by Claudia we knew we had picked the perfect hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and if you required anything at all you just had to ask. I have honestly never met staff at a hotel who smiled and engaged with the guests so much. By the time we left we felt part of a family and we cannot wait to return. The sense of peace and relaxation at this hotel was second to none that I have ever experienced. You can book your trips through the reception and Claudia even booked sun beds on the beach in advance for us. The buses which run from 100 meters way are easy to catch and you can get to most of the tourist spots at a cost of €1.90 per person if you book a return you get it cheaper but you do have to select a bus time to return. We stayed just B&B which suits us as we like to try the local restaurants. Having said that we did book to eat in on two nights and the food was lovely. Breakfast was nice and more than enough. Everything about the hotel was spotless and the staff work tirelessly to achieve this. Thank you Nando, Claudia ,Luca and the rest of the staff for making our stay special. Nando we miss you and your stories already. We will be back as promised.

We have just returned home after a 7 day holiday in Hotel Villa Daphne, we were on a bed & breakfast basis. From the moment we arrived, we met Claudia, who gave us a tour of the hotel and an introduction to our fabulous room at the front, the balcony afforded us a view of Mount Etna.I was aware of the high regard Claudia is held in from previous glowing hotel reviews and she did not disappoint. She is an amazing representative of the hotel and made us so welcome from minute one. A mention also to every other staff member throughout the hotel, absolutely amazing, so friendly and professional, we also had amazing interaction with Nando after we had some nasty mosquito encounters !! He went above & beyond to help. The 'lateshift' male who took over from Claudia was also fantastic, always ready with a smile and helping in any way he could. The hotel itself is stunning, absolutely spotless in every area from the dining area, the pool area and reception areas. Our room was immaculate, airy and everything we had hoped for. The colours were so tasteful. We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room but not an issue. The location of the hotel is perfect and as in previews reviews gave documented, is only 50 yards from the main bus stop where the Taormina bus leaves from and is a great service. We try not to return to the same hotel as it's nice to try different establishments but we will return to Hotel Villa Daphne as its charming personality has won over our natural instinct. A big thank you to all the staff and the owners of this beautiful hotel for making our holiday what it was.

Just about to leave the hotel after a fabulous holiday. The hotel really is first class. The staff are excellent both front of house and those who work behind the scenes. The rooms are well ordered and the housekeeping is top notch. The bath and shower and bidet were really clean and powerful!! The views from the front balcony take in some stunning views of the local countryside including Mt Etna. The food was great every evening and there was lots of it. The breakfast had a very wide selection and the coffee from the machine was proper authentic Italian coffee. The local beach is great but is generally coarse sand/ stones so I would advise crocs or similar when getting in and out. So if I were to be picky, what would I change? The amount of food in the 3 course meal could be overwhelming to some (you really do get well fed) and they could possibly reduce it slightly as you also have bread etc. This is a guest issue rather than a hotel one, but we did notice some people rushing down at 7am with the towels for the loungers and then not using them till after lunch. (Don't do this people, we're only seeing each other off and creating a bad atmosphere on a holiday we worked hard to pay for) Overall a fantastic hotel in a great location with first class staff

Amazing stay at Hotel Villa Daphne from start to finish! Claudia on reception was extremely helpful and friendly, in fact all of the staff here were couldn't fault any of them! Nino one of the waiters was crazy he really made our experience fantastic. Food out of this world we stayed Half Board and it was well worth the money buffet sytle Breakfast and waiter service for Evening Meal. Lovely to see the Owner mingling amongst the guests which you don't often see. Will definitely be back.

Hotel Daphne is a true gem . As soon as arrive you are welcomed and looked after. All the staff and managers are truly wonderful. So helpful and friendly. My daughter and myself had a lovely room overlooking the garden. It was spotless, very nicely decorated and quiet. Breakfast and the evening meals were both freshly cooked, we are both vegetarian , which was not a problem, every evening the chef cooked us a very nice meal. We would love to return.

Convenience to travel to other parts of Sicily as bus interchange is just near by. Decent breakfast provided.

Tranquil location, easy stroll to beach and 30 steps from transport hub giving access to all Sicily. Staff: front or back of house are professional, polite, helpful and friendly: going beyond the routine. There is great attention to detail with breakfast lunch or evening meal. The Hotel accommodated our request for separate beds, due to us travelling as friends and not partners. Thank You! Pool is spotless, the sunbeds comfortable, the parasol is a tricky one but staff always happy to help. I would happily stay at this Hotel as a solo traveller or even return with my friend again, Sicillian hospitality at its best, Highly recommend this Hotel and miss it already. Lesley and Graham xx

Every glowing review for Hotel Villa Daphne is entirely deserved. It is so clean and well looked after that it feels like it opened yesterday. The pool area is so pretty and relaxing. Our room had the most incredible view of Mount Etna. We were half-board and we are vegetarian so they cooked us an individual meal every night. The service is faultless and so friendly. It’s a lovely place and you’re sure to have an incredibly restful and enjoyable stay.

Lovely boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive you know you will be treated like family. Rooms spot on and breakfast always lovely All the staff were fantastic. Location 5 mins to a cluster of bars and restaurants our favourite was sikelia..amazing pizza . Had great weather for early in the season..bars and restaurants on the front opening each day. . Toarmina was a short taxi away ..easy as there was 4 of us. Would definitely return

The hotel is small. Clean. Updated. The staff is nice. I parked in front of the hotel. There are restaurants nearby. The sea is 10 minutes away. You can see Etna. The rooms are small but decent. There is a balcony. The breakfast is good.
Everything is good.
The pool is not working yet in early April.
Overall, I am happy. I recommend it.
