Ramo d'Aria Etna Boutique Hotel in Giarre

This is a funny place because it is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Giarre is not a fancy place and the hotel is on the edge of Giarre.

However...the views of Etna and surroundings from the room were wonderful and the service was informal and welcoming (as well as efficient).
Parking is on-site and free.
Rooms were fine.
The pool was big and innovatively put together (you have to go to understand) and the pool area is nicely done and surrounded by green.
The food in the restaurant (we ate there 2 evenings) was outstanding. The dishes were explained as if we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant but without the stiffness. And they just looked and tasted Michelin level or higher.

It's not like Ortigia or Taormina but if you want a bit more space and time to relax it's a pretty good option. Taormina is less than 30 minutes away if you want to spend time there.

And I hope they keep the chef.

This is an oasis behind an automated gate that defies expectations from the street. Gorgeous rooms, beautiful grounds and exceptional restaurant. Don’t expect much from the Giarre neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful. We regretted the rain that prevented us from using the beautiful pool. Easy access to Mt Etna.

A new, modern hotel with beautiful design and comfortable rooms. Minor drawbacks include a small shower stall (even though the bathroom is large) and less-than-comfortable pillows. However, the service is excellent and everyone is willing to help with any questions. On clear days, the rooms overlooking Mount Etna and the pool area offer stunning views. Breakfasts are delicious and hearty.

We had a very pleasant stay. It's quite remote, so a car is essential. The rooms are very clean, but a bit noisy from other guests. Despite staying five nights, we unfortunately couldn't use the restaurant; every evening there was a different reason why we couldn't dine. The breakfast is very tasty. There's a lovely swimming pool.

The property is located in the most beautiful spot with incredible views of Mount Etna. The staff were incredible and extremely helpful. The hotel is easy to get to by taxi or train from the airport. The food was delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend!!

Amazing Resort, in a strategic position between Etna and Ionian Sea, relaxing , charming and with a nice Pool and excellent restaurant.

This place is a true hidden gem — something you wouldn’t expect when first arriving at the address. We were a bit puzzled at first. But then one of the staff kindly explained the name: Ramo d’Aria means “a branch of air” in Italian. You’re meant to imagine a bird, new to the area, returning from a long journey and landing on a peaceful branch to rest. That’s exactly what this place feels like — a serene perch with one of the most breathtaking views of Mount Etna.

And it’s no exaggeration — the view really is spectacular. At the same time, the location is just a short drive from Catania Airport, which makes it incredibly convenient.

The staff was extremely helpful — especially the gentleman at the reception, who gave us lots of great advice, and the kind woman at the restaurant, who helped us choose dishes for dinner. Breakfast was varied and generous, including freshly prepared eggs in any style you wanted, made to order.

We felt amazing here. One of the most thoughtful gestures was that we weren’t rushed to check out — we were allowed to relax by the pool and even take a shower before heading to the airport, with no extra charge. That kind of generosity added so much value to our short stay.

The food at the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. The wine, or rather the overall charge for it, felt a bit on the expensive side — but perhaps that’s simply because we were ordering it by the glass at the pool. In any case, we didn’t dwell on it — we were just so grateful for the lovely experience.

The pool area is beautifully designed, with stylish, leather-like loungers that give you the feeling of floating on water. Our room was incredibly spacious, with a direct view of Etna. We truly couldn’t have wished for more.

This is a wonderfully relaxing place — peaceful, elegant, and warm in every sense. We will definitely return.

great location, Bruno was such a gem with taking care of the family for a quick overnight stay- amazing pool and vibe amidst the nature of Catania, and a wonderful restaurant; service was fantastic and it’s an incredible property,
