This place was dreamy perfection. The pictures don’t capture the amazing smell of flowers everywhere. The little store with bread and croissants and pizza and wine and meat and cheese etc was so convenient. Best possible place for my best friends and I to unwind

We have just returned from a lovely 6 night stay at Poggio Pozzetti & would definitely return in the future. The apartment was simple & rustic, very clean & our terrace had beautiful views over the hills down to the sea. The kitchen was well equiped and the welcome basket & extras such as salt, pepper, water & washing up liquid was really appreciated. The pool was always spotless & also had lovely views over the valley. The whole property is well maintained & feels like a little haven. The little shop proved very useful, especially the option to order fresh bread everyday day!

We have a 4 yr old & 2 yr old so the play park & animals were enjoyed everyday & it felt very safe with no busy roads nearby.

The proximity to cefalu was great for us, so we could experience the beach for a swim or the old town for a wonder but be back at the accommodation within 20 mins. Ideal with small kids.

But the true magic of this place is the authentic & friendly welcome from the team, especially Giuseppe. Nothing was too much trouble & he always had a great big smile on his face. The team were harvesting the olives whilst it we were there & it was lovely seeing them doing this around the property. So many places miss the mark inregards to creating such an authentic experience for guests but Poggio Pozzetti gets it just right. Highly recommended!

Just a couple of recommendations:

- We would have appreciated a few more baby facilites - high chair, toddler friendly plates/ bowls etc
- There is only one bin provided at the accommodation but there are several at the main bins - compost, recycling, glass etc. We would have found it easier if more bins were provided at the accommodation so we could divide the rubbish better

We spent eleven days at Turismo Rurale Poggio Pozzetti and had a truly excellent stay. The property is extremely well maintained and thoughtfully curated, with a beautiful pool overlooking the Sicilian mountainous landscape — perfect for relaxing and recharging. The surrounding scenery adds to the serene atmosphere, making it easy to disconnect and enjoy the countryside. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and inviting environment. Facilities are also outstanding: beyond the comfortable accommodations, there is even a laundry and ironing room, which proved very convenient during a longer stay. Overall, Poggio Pozzetti combines comfort, natural beauty, and genuine hospitality in a way that makes it stand out, and we would gladly return.

We love this place. Just returned for the second time. it's paradise. super friendly people, nice rooms in traditional style, a beautiful large garden and a great pool. The next road and house is far away, you get tranquility and peace of mind. good for couples and families, thanks a lot for hosting us!

Great remote location for some peace and quiet
If you want a place away from it all this is it. It consists of a few apartments in the hills about 15 minutes from the coast. The place was really clean and had everything required. Our apartment had views out to the sea and it was great sitting on the terrace having breakfast overlooking everything. Giuseppe was super helpful, and available most of the day. The little shop was a great help, it was good to get some fresh croissants and bread each morning. Our son loved all the animals on site, including the super friendly dogs and goats, but they kept out of the way if you didn't want to interact with them. The pool was perfect and never busy. The main thing to be aware of is the drive up to the place, it's over 1km up a dirt road, which is quite rough in places. There were no issues for us as we went very slowly, but not something to try if you aren't a confident driver, especially if you meet another car you might have some way to reverse.

As the other reviews states this is a hidden gem, serviced and maintained by Giuseppe, where you can spend some days off the grid with your loved ones.
This was unfortunately ruined by BED BUGS in our room.
After the first night I woke up with a lot of bites on both hands, arms, and feet, on my back and in the neck. They looked like mosquito bites, so even though there were that many, I did not pay that much attention to it and thought that one of our kids might have forgotten to close the mosquito net.
But then during the day my left arm and foot, which had the most bites, started to swell and on the following morning my foot was so swollen that I had difficulties in wearing my shoes. The characteristic with three bites in a row and the bites turning red and into blisters with infection made the easy conclusion that this could only be bed bugs. I am also not allergic to mosquitos, which I already had plenty of bites from in Taormina. So, we contacted Giuseppe, who then changed the linen. I informed him that this would not solve the issue, so he called the management. Their first response was that this could not be the case, because Giuseppe did not find any bugs in the bed and as my wife also did not get any bites, it must have been something else. If you just do some simple research on it, you will know that even if people sleep in the same bed, not all get bitten and even so, not all get the same reaction.
Then I sent the manager the pictures of my bites, which must have

Then I sent the manager the pictures of my bites, which must have changed his mind, because he and his mom then arrived within half an hour to do damage control. But they chose the wrong approach. Instead of accepting the situation they chose denial, saying it had never happened before, so it must be something else. But one time must be the first, it only requires a previous guest to bring them in. I also think they knew, because after all they vacuumed the mattress and changed the linen, but again I told them that it would not solve the issue, as the bugs hide, also other places than the bed itself. First of all, I was not angry about it and not blaming them, as bed bugs can happen even to the most exclusive hotels. Also, the bed bugs would only bite again after 5-7 days, so I was actually ok sleeping in the same bed, as we were only to stay there for three days. My intention was merely to secure that it would not happen to the following guest of the Arantino room and maybe also the adjacent apartment, as these buggers do migrate. So, to the management, if you hopefully read this review, here is what you should have done. Even though it was not your fault, it is always a good idea to say you are sorry for the inconvenience it has caused. Then you should have listened to me and the description of what followed up until the incident, then you would have been certain, maybe you did but did not show. And if you would have walked the extra mile you would have compensated me in some way for the time and discomfort spent on this, turning our

My partner and I stayed in the Limone apartment. Perfect for a couple, large bed, air con, inside dining table, a small kitchen and a cosy upstairs area with a sofa bed. The outside area was very private, grassy, kitted out with two sunloungers, a table and chairs with the most beautiful sea view. Perfect for having any meal outside. If coming in the summer months I would advise maybe bringing a citronella candle or some bug spray as the mosquitos can be pesky. We flew to Palermo which is about an hours drive from the accommodation, a hire car is a must! Lascari is a very small town and the accommodation is extremely rural, we learned the hard way and got a taxi from the train station which is under a 10 minute drive which cost €40. Europcar in Cefalu was extremely helpful as they can drop/pick up the car to your location if you're not intending to drive it from the airport. There is a small shop on location which sells wine, beer, oil, marmalade, bread, eggs and croissants to order. This will be charged in cash at the end of your stay. The pool is lovely and refreshing, the greenery is very well maintained by Guiseppe the manager of the place. All in all a very beautiful place to stay, extremely peaceful, perfect for couples and families.

Lovely place, had a great time here! Giuseppe the local Italian handyman is an absolute star, the properties are well maintained and have been renevated to a high and stylish standard, simply breathtaking. Views are stunning, the tiny "help yourself" on-site shop works perfectly. Leak :the track/road to the villa's is challenging, need to be a very good driver.
