Farm stays in Sicily

My wife and I spent just one night (sadly) at the end of August and the food, service, room and of course the grounds were wonderful. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

We can't recommend Tarantola highly enough. The fantastic food from Francesco to the wonderful service from Beckia and Filippo and the support and responsiveness with our host Fabrizio everything exceeded expectations.

We were greeted by Chef Francesco and Ms Petia, who took great care of us during our stay. Mr Fabrizio also got in touch with us with regards directions prior our arrival. This agriturismo was much more than accommodations. It was like stepping into the world of the Sicilian lifestyle as though you are visiting with old friends at their home after an extended absence. This farmhouse makes you feel at home and part of the family, even on vacation. The property is very beautiful and the views of the sea from the slope of the Etna are spectacular. Very quiet, comfortable accommodations, very nice swimming pool. We had a fantastic stay here. The gardens and scenery are incredible. Views are some of the best on the island. Great size pool that was extremely clean and plenty of space for relaxing. Staff very friendly. Room was modern and large. Would definitely return.

3 Daily yoga sessions by Catarina were lovely, she's very knowledgeable & such a warm personality. Great choice of different locations depending on weather. Highly recommended. Pilates by Sébastieno was great too. Great exercises, good tempo, a great way to start the day. Very much enjoyed & recommended. Also had a massage booked which was one of the best ones I have ever had.

Absolutely amazed by this place. Beautiful, clean, and the friendliest staff. My favorite was Claudia, who showed me Adonai Eremo AND gave the best ceramic painting class. It was a very welcomed creative part of the holiday. 10/10 would recommend going here, and look for events with Claudia - she’s the best!

Everything was clean and well taken care of. The staff there was lovely, there just weren’t enough of them! It was clear it was just after high season.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the pools are great, the location is gorgeous, and the morning yoga offered for free outside was a great way to start the day. This resort was a continuous discovery. I came here on my own, yet I never once felt alone thanks above all to the constant support from the reception, the Guest Relation, and the Concierge, who were truly helpful. Quality-price ratio is quite good on this hotel. However, if you are walking there it is a bit far from the main attractions and you have to walk through a very shady area during the night time. The hotel was amazing only thing that always loud because of road in front. And also 2 minuses one is that when I was opening the window it was entering the smell of ****. The second is that it’s far from sea. It was prohibited to swim in swimming pool. But my room was wide with cycle in my room.

Aging hotel with lots of promise if the management can see that it needs maintenance. The sign out front is the first tip off. The full lobby and terrace should be air conditioned. Just needs an automatic door going out the back door. Free breakfast is basically good. Coffee needs improvement. Baked goods were excellent. Might be good to offer quiche as well and run til 10am not 9:30!

Frankly indifferent hotel with generally efficient staff but who generally lack any personality. Buffet is adequate but uninspiring; house wine rancid, slow to clear tables and crockery too frequently unclean. Brilliant hotel, the room was big and had a lovely view from the balcony. Meals were all delicious and staff were great. Only problem was how it was on the side of a hill and quite secluded. Coach ran regularly to Cefalù (the nearby town) which solved this problem. Swimming pool was FREEZING!!

An amazing hotel, so friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean. It is no trouble for any of the staff to do anything for you. The bar staff are all excellent, especially bar manager Rosario. Such a beautiful hotel, the staff here are incredibly friendly and hospitable, it is more aimed towards Italian customers which is perfect to immerse yourself in the culture. However that being said they have written English and the staff are pretty good at it too. Not really worth its 4 stars. A bit disappointed on arrival. Big plus: magnificent view from the bar and restaurant. The pool is very deep, with few areas suitable for young children. As for the food, there are always good dishes. Unlike other all-inclusive resorts, they don't serve fries with every meal :) The complex is completely isolated, with only one place accessible for a short walk.

The service was up to par. The toilet was substandard, the floor was slippery, and the room facilities were old. The yogurt at breakfast was in a bucket, not a cup! Omelettes were available for an additional fee.

The room was decent, clean, and tidy. It's close to the sea with a private access path, though it's not a sandy beach. The grilled fish and pasta for dinner were good, prepared in a Mediterranean style with olive oil and salt, and quite tasty.

Hotel is in a nice location, staff was very helpful. We got a room that was not renovated but even though the furniture was worn out everything was clean. Part of the hotel has been renovated so you can insist on newer rooms with better furniture. Balconies are small but the view is nice. The promenade that leads to the city is excellent.
