Hotel Borgo Pantano in Syracuse

We had a wonderful stay at Borgo Pantano hotel. The staff were professional, incredibly friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was outstanding—honestly a 12/10! The owner deserves a special mention: she was so kind and helpful. When she realized the room we had initially booked wasn’t ideal for our two small children because of the two-floor layout, she generously offered us her cottage instead. The cottage felt like something straight out of a fairytale—clearly designed for pure enjoyment. The hotel grounds are stunning, with a gorgeous garden, a lovely pool, and a great playground for kids. Everything is thoughtfully maintained and perfect for families. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!

This is a super place to stay. We visited right at the end of their season but all of the facilities were still available including their restaurant. You are immediately made to feel welcome and they really get hospitality, which is clearly driven by the owner Giusi. She is like the proverbial Mr Ben, popping up at dinner, breakfast and even our departure wanting to make sure everything is just so. She takes such a pride in the resort and she even arranged a special dessert for my wife. Our room (on two levels) was very trendy with a jacuzzi bath and a very comfortable bed and roof terrace. The gardens are extensive and the pool would be at home in a much bigger hotel. Highly recommended.

What an amazing hotel! Lovely welcoming atmosphere from the whole staff. The hotel is incredibly well run by the owner Giusi. The rooms are beautiful and we LOVED the stunning gardens with their double beds, loungers and many more places to relax, either around the beautiful pool or far from it. Families are extremely well cared for, with an amazing breakfast, a beautiful playground, two pools including a heated one which our children stayed in for hours, and many more amenities. We certainly hope to come back soon!

Il posto è riuscito a migliorarsi ulteriormente. La cura per i dettagli, il ricevimento, il ristorante, la colazione(!!!), tutto, dico TUTTO PERFETTO. Un luogo dove entri ed esci trasformato nello spirito, nel cuore. Questo posto ha qualcosa di magico. Magico come la dolcissima direttrice/proprietaria, Giusi, eccellente interprete dei desideri di viene ospitato. Borgo Pantano non è un luogo per una semplice vacanza, è un’oasi per l’anima. GRAZIE!!! English: I hadn’t been back for two years. The last time, I thought I had already experienced something wonderful — and, as we know, after some time things often change, rarely for the better. But not here. This place has managed to become even better. The attention to detail, the warm welcome, the restaurant, the breakfast (!!!) — everything, I mean EVERYTHING, is simply perfect. A place where you walk in and come out transformed — in spirit, in heart. There’s something truly magical about this place. Magical, just like the lovely owner and director, Giusi, who has an incredible gift for understanding what her guests need. Borgo Pantano isn’t just a holiday destination — it’s a sanctuary for the soul. THANK YOU!!!

Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We had problems with the car hire and they went above and beyond to help. I am 80 years old and this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. Fantastic food and service. Lovely room. Beautiful gardens, lit at night. Pool great but water cold! There is nothing negative to say about the hotel, other than it's about 8km from Syracuse and you need a car. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel. Staff were brilliant and the facilities were great. Peaceful if a little out of the way location. Shuttle into Syracuse was really useful but could be more flexible. Breakfast spread was impressive for its variety and the vast array of options. Evening meals in the restaurant near the pool have you lots of choice and most dishes were well made and tasty with some invention and creativity. Best of all we’re the fantastic staff. Courteous, friendly and attentive, loved our stay!❤️❤️

My wife I spent four nights in this fabulous hotel. Well managed, beautifully manicured grounds, fantastic restaurant in an exceptional setting provides a great home base to visit local sites or a great place to just relax and enjoy the pool. The owner Giusi is always around talking to her guests ensuring their needs are attended to. Great staff.

If you are considering a getaway from your hectic life to indulge in the stunning scenery, the excellent amenities, and the warm, welcoming staff at this location, then hesitate no longer and visit Borgo Pantano. The pool was immaculate. The food was exceptional, and the rooms were pleasant, tidy, and refreshing. Without a doubt, I will make another reservation.

We’ve just returned from a truly special stay at Hotel Borgo Pantano – our first family holiday in 10 years with my parents (Il signor e la signora Frank) kicking off what we hope will become an annual tradition with our older kids. And what a place to begin. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home – only better. The service was exceptional throughout, with every member of the team leaving a fantastic impression. Guisi, the owner, is simply unforgettable – warm, generous, and full of heart. She made us feel as if we’d known her forever. Francesco, along with the entire dinner team, was outstanding – professional, friendly, and always attentive. Suyi kept the coffees coming at breakfast with a smile, and Agata’s cocktails were a highlight each evening – creative and delicious. The cleaning team were second to none – incredibly thorough and thoughtful. Every part of the hotel, from the gardens to the rooms, was beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of warmth. Borgo Pantano has certainly earned a place in our hearts. Thank you to the entire team for such a beautiful, memorable stay.

Recently left the wonderful Borgo Pantano property and what a joy. The whole set up is run extremely well led by the owner Giusi who is a consummate host and seemingly ever present! Her team are equally good and go beyond to make your stay special. Notably Fabrizio, Agata, Elenor, Alberto, and Emmanuel but everyone is lovely. The breakfast is totally unique and one you will not have seen the like of before, mostly home made and a divine feast - stunning! Rooms are spacious as are the beautifully kept grounds outside. The pool is peaceful and very clean. The evening on site restaurant is also first class. I guess there are some anomalies why this isn’t rated a 5 star property (the gym does need to be upgraded) but in my opinion it very much offers that class on many levels. We will be returning asap.
