5 star hotels in Taormina

The view from our hotel balcony was worth the price of the room. Very convenient to walk up to the Palace/fortress of Taormina, down to the main shopping street and across to the Roman amphitheater. Breakfast outstanding.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful property. Rooms a bit on the small side and it aint cheap.

Amazing location. Lovely room and breakfast. Gym is small but well equipped which might be challenging in peak season.

This is an amazing location with a view over Taormina and the ocean. The manager Alberto took care of everything we needed and asked for! Angelo, who is everything, everywhere, all at once, also assisted with suggestions, recommendations and just great conversation about family and life. Even the doorman was a familiar face, as we were coming and going from the hotel at all hours. The breakfast here...

From the moment we stepped foot in the NH Collection Taormina we were treated amazingly. We were given a briefing and showed a map (with lots of great recommendation's) from the concierge staff, which really helped us get a great grasp on what to see and do in the area; with only a few days there this was really helpful. The hotel itself is stunning & the room we stayed in was gorgeous with amazing...

Beautiful hotel in excellent location. Stunning views from roof top of the hotel! Front desk staff was outstanding. Breakfast delicious and big variety. Very clean. All around highly recommend!!

Excellent boutique hotel!Beautiful and peaceful.Staffs are very friendly and warmly.the room is big,the bed is comfortable, breakfast is delicious, the view is beautiful. Our perfect stay in Taormina.

The addition of St George 2 star michelin to The Ashbee is icing on the cake. And just overall splendid service, good guidance to local restaurants and trips.

The hotel gas a magnificent location, fantastic view. The lobby, the hall is beautiful, elegant and charming. Staff was helpful and kind. A bit disappointment was the cold and due to very rainy days wet rooms.

Everything was great - staff were super friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and centrally located. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Few minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and the tram that takes you to the beaches. Room is spacious but we wish there were a dresser with drawers. Highly recommend.

Located just outside Messina Gate, location is quiet but quick access to Corso and not far from funicular. Attentive, friendly staff. Nice breakfast on the roof level. Hotel has a Michelin 2 star restaurant (which we did not dine at-- didn't realize prior to check -in and we had other plans). Recommend highly!

An impeccable hotel. They understand what 5 stars really means and they set the bar high for other 5 star hotels. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and every single staff member here is committed to ensuring your stay is nothing less than perfect. I simply cannot imagine even the pickiest person having issues at this hotel. Trust me you will not be disappointed. The pool is also incredible so be...

What an absolute treat .. we enjoyed drinks and light lunch on the beautiful Terrace with great views of Mount Etna. It was just perfect as was Fabio our amazing waiter. He must get a mention as the best waiter in the world. Thank you SO much for making our afternoon such a perfect one.

Last time, the San Andrea. This time, the Timeo. The view remains unchanged —Etna! The sea below spreads itself like a promise, or a threat. But let us speak of the pigeons. They are not your ordinary urban scavengers. The pigeons of the Grand Hotel Timeo are imperialists. They have studied Machiavelli. One — let us call him Generalissimo — stationed himself at my table. He had a schedule. I was...

Our stay at Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina was absolutely exceptional! The service was truly six-star level – attentive, discreet, and genuinely kind. Our suite was spacious, elegant, and offered a breathtaking view of the sea and Mount Etna. The hotel itself is beautifully located, right next to the ancient Greek Theatre, in the heart of Taormina. If you’re hesitating between Grand...

When you don’t really expect anything good after a cancelled flight and a long night trip, when the moon is shining bright and there’s not a single taxi in the middle of the night — the hotel saves you, picks you up, welcomes you warmly. Then you lie down in bed that smells like mandarins, and in the morning you greet the sun with a smile on your face. This hotel, set on the hillside of Taormina,...

This hotel is pure perfection to me. Not only is it spectacularly beautiful, on every level, but everyone who works there is warm, charming and goes out of their way to make sure you have a perfect stay. The room itself was stunning, with a view to take your breath away. I actually spent hours just sitting on the terrace, just looking out. The pool was perfectly heated and beautifully kept. The food...

We didn’t stay at the hotel but instead visited the restaurant and bar and it was lovely! I ordered a spaghetti and tomato sauce and it was delicious and the service was incredible. Our main waiter was called Fabio I think and he was so kind! Food and atmosphere was amazing!

Definitely want to come back again! Has great views and is very close to the main Taormina area.

Made a reservation at the patio bar just to step on to the spectacular property and see for ourselves. The vibe and atmosphere is amazing and worth the price of drinks to wander through the gardens and peek at the swimming pool!

I recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who loves luxury stays. We escaped a fake 5-star hotel on the bay of Taormina and took refuge in this oasis of luxury and well-being. The staff was fantastic and the cleanliness was impeccable. The food was exquisite; the restaurant was Michelin-starred. This was our first experience in Sicily, and I must say, Taormina is truly magical. Come and discover this...

Spectacular hotel with perfect service. Wonderful food, a perfect location and all around great experience. A truly special property.

From the moment you arrive at Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, Taormina, you know you are somewhere extraordinary. Set within a former 14th-century Dominican monastery, the hotel seamlessly blends history, beauty, and modern luxury. Walking through its cloisters, gardens, and terraces feels almost surreal — every turn is a photo opportunity, framed by dramatic views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna...

10/10! Exceptional experience. Although we were not staying at the Four Seasons Taormina on this visit, we are already in the process of planning our stay for fall 2026 for a special celebration, and this experience only reinforced that decision. We came for lunch at Anciòvi and arrived later than planned due to issues at our hotel elsewhere. Despite this, the team was incredibly accommodating and...

Great stay very luxurious. Grand design. View from the junior suite room was spectacular. Staff were helpful. Very clean rooms. I did not like how I have to pay 50 euro for valet parking, seems very exploitive. Otherwise the stay was 9.5/10

The location is excellent, just steps away from the Ancient Theater and Sijiu Square. The room was also great; they upgraded us to a sea-view room, and the service was warm and attentive. We planned to visit the train station where The Godfather was filmed, and the staff advised us to take a taxi, not to walk. According to Google Maps, it was 1.5 kilometers from the hotel, so we insisted on walking...

The location was great and the clientele was calm, so it was very comfortable. I had a lot of luggage so the room felt a little small, but next time I stay I'll choose a larger room with an ocean view. The breakfast also had a great view!

We had the best time. Lucia was amazing as all the staff were. The hotel was clean, and service was beyond expectations. The staff assisted with reservations and offered recommendations when asked. The hotel is centrally located  and the view was spectacular. We will definitely go Back there when we are in Taormina again.

This time I booked a room with a terrace and a private pool. The scenery is 10 points good And it’s in the main street, so the location is very convenient. But I found a lot of insects entering the private swimming pool. The staff's attitude is very good and kind.

Quite satisfied. The cleanliness was great when I first arrived. Later, the cleanliness was sloppy every day. But the waiter was very enthusiastic.

If you need a hotel with stunning views and great access to the cable car, this is the place. The staff's response is immediate. For any request, their answer is YES, and then they clarify what is needed. They react promptly to minor complaints. Everything is of very high quality and pleasant. Because of this, even tipping the staff was not an issue. Water was replenished every day. The only downside...

Everything to the tiniest detail was excellent! From the manager’s welcome to Carmine our evening housekeeper, restaurant and bar staff, concierge Karina, and bell service it could not have been better. One of our best hospitality stays ever!!

Amazing hotel right on the beach. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, our room was gorgeous, and the location can’t be beat. Great stay and we will be back!

Our recent stay at the Mazzarò Sea Palace in Taormina was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel’s location on a stunning, secluded cove feels like something out of a dream — crystal-clear water, panoramic views of the Sicilian coastline, and the soothing sound of waves right outside your balcony. It’s the perfect mix of privacy and luxury, yet still just a short funicular ride away from Taormina...

Excellent Property and Service. The beach was fabulous and it’s a two minute walk to the cable car. I most definitely will return.

We received an upgrade to a stunning remodeled room with an ocean view. All staff at every level gave top notch customer service & were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We spent a wonderful four nights at Palazzo Vecchio in mid September. The location, just off Corso Umberto, was great. Up a few flights of stairs, it was set back and up from the road so was quiet, yet in the hub of restaurants/shops etc. Our room was large, comfortable, well taken care of throughout our stay, and had a nice view of the sea. Miriam was so very helpful in making our reservation...

A beautiful hotel in the center of Taormina with great breakfast and excellent service .also the dinner was very good .the staffs of the hotel very helpful and nice .i would love to notice Mr Antonio at the reception and Mr Francesco from the restaurant was super nice and helpful, they make our stay there even much more comfortable and helped us with every question or problems we had .the roof top...

The Hotel is the best in Taormina with spectacular views and amazing staff. The restaurant is delicious, quiet and chic. The rooftop bar is the best with fantastic views and delicious cocktails. It's very elegant. The palette is beige with historical decor and a wonderful spa too. Cherry on the cake, the spa on the ground floor will make the stay unforgettable. It's highly recommended, luxury at its...

Beautiful hotel close to the main area. The star to this property is the hotel staff from the concierge, to front desk and to the fabulous breakfast staff in the am. We had arrived late and the dining options were closing and kept the restaurant open for us and offered us a traditional Sicilian meal! First of many fabulous meals here. The roof top was great - we enjoyed a drink every night before dinner...

This hotel is just so classically beautiful. The location is amazing - tucked away from the main hustle and bustle but just a few steps away from the main drag. The rooms were well stocked and beautiful, full of light. Very spacious and comfortable (the linens were divine).

We've had a wonderful experience in Taormina including an excellent stay at the Palazzo Vecchio. The hotel premises are very comfortable, but the service was really the highlight. We'd like to congratulate all the team, but also to make a special consideration for Antonio - the Concierge, who provided us with an outstanding support, making us feel at home with the best tips about the region attractions...

I traveled solo around Sicily and after staying two nights in the mountains, I chose this hotel by the sea. It's quite good value for a luxury hotel. The location is unique, but the hotel itself is a bit small and showing its age. The views are fantastic, but the sea access is over rocks, so it's a bit dangerous to go barefoot – water shoes are a must. The pool is a bit on the small side and gets quite...

The room service, restaurant, and pool were all very friendly, and they even rented us a SUP at the beach right in front of the hotel.

The room had a great view right by the sea, with a train passing through the mountains nearby – it was magical at night. The food was also excellent. A special thank you to Federica (I hope I spelled it right) for all their help!

Fantastic hotel, a rare example of a 5-star hotel, with fantastic staff and a property in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Fantastic food, a fabulous breakfast, and a great location for walking to the most interesting sights. Unique views make this hotel an experience that stays with you and will make you want to return as soon as possible. Highly recommended.

There were small insects in the room, but if you don't mind them, it's fine. The views from the balcony and room were great, and I was very satisfied with being able to relax on the private beach and by the pool. I used Uber to get around for all my trip, but when I checked out at the counter, they said they would call one for me, so I did, but they ended up calling someone who seemed to be an acquaintance...

A very pleasant stay. Got upgraded when we arrived to a suite. The breakfast was great and location amazing.

Staff was excellent, great breakfast every morning. Room cleaning was super.

Excellent all around. Terrific service, beautiful spot

Our stay was excellent. Above our expectations. The property is stunning, the staff is profesional, attentive, kind. The food is of very highly quality and delicious. We highly recommend this property, it is an unforgetable experience.

A wonderful experience - beautiful views, friendly staff and generous gin and tonics!

Our stay at the Grand Hotel San Pietro was truly unforgettable. The location is spectacular, perched above the sea with breathtaking views of the coastline and Mount Etna. The hotel combines historic charm with modern comfort. Our room was elegant, spacious, and spotless, with a balcony that made every sunrise magical. We highly recommend it.

The room toiletries were not replenished every day, but everything else was good.

We got the hotel late night and friendly staff welcomed us with a welcome drink. Friendly staff specially Irene who helped us a lot during our stay and gifted us with flowers when she knew that we are in a honeymoon. we enjoyed our stay in the resort a lot. amazing location at Mazzaro beach and sunbathing area. quiet, romantic and clean place to stay. We loved the sunrise and sunset every morning.

The room was very small and the bathroom had no storage or shelves for wash kits, so had to put everything on the floor. The staff was friendly, but a complaint over the lack of ventilation in the bathroom was not resolved. At the beach club, a staff member followed us to our room, claiming we had not paid the bill, even though we had paid cash. There was a train track running just behind our room...

Our family planned a last-minute trip to Taormina. Needless to say, finding a hotel on short notice wasn’t easy. Our travel agent recommended a few options, but we discovered LaPlage on our own. When I sent it to her, she was hesitant—she had never sent clients there before. We decided to trust our instincts, and I am so glad we did. Let me start by saying we are well-traveled and have high expectations...

It was a difficult decision to make on whether to stay by the beach or stay at a property at the main and vibrant streets of Taormina, I believe we took the right decision by staying at La plage. The hotel is great and the bungalows are small but more than you need. Some have private gardens and others have a private jacuzzi. The breakfast is good and the terrace where breakfast is served has a super...

Beautiful resort of the middle of Isolabella! Let’s breakdown the pros & cons…. Pros: - Beautiful ground and serene ambiance - cable car close by in order to get into Taormina bc the resort is in its own cove. - The focus is on the grounds and not the rooms. - Great spa - Breakfast included and it’s delicious. - ability to hire private drivers and and get cabs fast through the concierge - Excellent...

La Plage has magnificent views of the sea and the iconic Isola Bella. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. Be aware that the beach is rocky and hard to walk on and it’s difficult to enter and exit the sea for a swim. It’s easy to get up to Taormina via the funivia (cable car) for a 10€ round trip.
