The vibe and atmosphere is amazing and worth the price of drinks to wander through the gardens and peek at the swimming pool!

The staff was fantastic and the cleanliness was impeccable. The food was exquisite; the restaurant was Michelin-starred. This was our first experience in Sicily, and I must say, Taormina is truly magical

From the moment you arrive at Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, Taormina, you know you are somewhere extraordinary

Amazing location. Lovely room and breakfast. Gym is small but well equipped which might be challenging in peak season.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had 2 balconies to overlook the town and view of the Greek Roman Theatre. There’s an outdoor pool above the lobby and spa services available. I can’t wait to stay here again

While fine, this hotel is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch, The gym was underwhelming, the pool looked tired as did the lobby areas. Rooms were nice by very small. It just didn’t have a high level of amenity

We were given a briefing and showed a map (with lots of great recommendation's) from the concierge staff, which really helped us get a great grasp on what to see and do in the area; with only a few days there this was really helpful

The manager Alberto took care of everything we needed and asked for! Angelo, who is everything, everywhere, all at once, also assisted with suggestions, recommendations and just great conversation about family and life

Even the doorman was a familiar face, as we were coming and going from the hotel at all hours. The breakfast here is wonderful with plenty of options from classic Italian to ala carte eggs, pancakes etc

Seafront and beach area just been worked on, beach is a little pebbly but lovely. Railway line runs between gardens and the beach, not an issue at all for us but some might find it off putting

This hotel was very nice with an impressive lobby and was right on the beach. You just walk outside and down a short set of stairs, and you are on the beach

The hotel was good but the carpeting and elevators need replacement. The hotel is on the beach which is a great plus. They provide a shuttle to the center of town which is very convenient.

Overall, though, the positives far outweighed this one drawback, and we would definitely consider returning, especially for the beach, the food, and the staff

Hotel Caparena was very nice with clean rooms and great staff, we had a lovely time in Toamina! The shuttle bus was excellent we used it every day a special thank you to Salvatore, Pipo and drivers! The restaurant staff were amazing especially Nadine, Andrea, Adriano not to mention the rest of the gang! Lots of love Maria & Martin XxX

The free shuttle into town and back must be reserved in advance so if you plan to use this service on the day/evening of your check in, you should call ahead to be added to the schedule

Although the swimming pool is not big, it has a beautiful view. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful in introducing attractions and restaurants. The breakfast is also very good

Few minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and the tram that takes you to the beaches. Room is spacious but we wish there were a dresser with drawers

Trust me you will not be disappointed. The pool is also incredible so be sure to set time aside in the itinerary for relaxing there

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and every single staff member here is committed to ensuring your stay is nothing less than perfect. I simply cannot imagine even the pickiest person having issues at this hotel

My friend has a severe nut allergy and she took it so seriously and communicated with us and the chef everyday to ensure my friend felt safe eating breakfast at the hotel. I can’t say enough how great she was

While the rooms are a bit dated, the pool and beach facilities make this an absolute gem of a resort! The unspoiled views of Isola Bella by the beach and gorgeous view of Mt Etna at the pool are breathtaking

We spent a fantastic week in this hotel. It was amazing to have direct access to a beautiful private beach as well as an infinity pool. There were plenty of loungers to relax

The rooms are old and outdated and in dire need of renovation. The good part about the hotel are the facilities, the pool and private beach are astonishing

The location was great, right on the sea side and close to the train station. The shuttle service provided by the hotel that takes you into Taormina was also excellent. The staff were all super friendly too

Una is a spectacular hotel. Wonderful staff, location amazing including a shuttle bus to the town. Beautiful daily breakfast, incredible views of Mt Etna and pool. Would stay again in a heartbeat

It’s not a luxury place by any means, but if you’re looking for something affordable, practical, and decently located, this is a solid option. I would consider staying here again for short trips or business visits

Sea views from here are just stunning, mainland Italy in the distance. Staff helpful but aloof or dour. Food overpriced for what it is - dining with a delicious view. Rooms 3 star, the essentials. Take a small kettle

Hotel was in a great location in Taormina.  Valet parking was very useful.  Breakfast was great - lots of traditional Silcilian items on offer including delicious cakes and easter biscuits.  Would definitely recommend.

The guy at the front desk upgraded us to a room with a sea view balcony. The swimming pool was also very good. The breakfast was also very rich. The room was not big but had all the facilities

The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there's an outdoor pool with sun loungers. Check-out is unusually early – 10:30 AM, but we were allowed to stay 40 minutes longer

Great hotel in a great location, close to the city center with a swimming pool. The only downside was the air conditioning which we couldn't get working in our room...

Nice storage space is provided. A small balcony, with side-sea views from all rooms. The bathroom needs investment, the shower is weak and very dated

The hotel has a rule of no outside drinks in these areas, but if you want to inforce this a pool bar should be provided, expecting guests to walk to reception, on the ground floor is a stupid idea

The decoration of the place, just like the bar area can only be described as an retirement home. Poor area:- Split on two level; sun deck on on and the swimming pool on the other

The Ipanema Hotel Taormina, Sicily is a traditional Sicilian Hotel with wood panelling. The rooms are spacious with wardrobe space, dressing table, mirrors, comfy beds. There are plug sockets and lights next to the bed

When you enter the dining room you get shown to your table, higher standards which are not needed when the lower hotel standards let you down. Overall, this could be a good breakfast with better quality produce

Dining area:- For a four-star hotel the breakfast should be better. Tinned fruit is a no-no for four-star. The coffee was also weak, not the high standard expected in Italy

Wonderful view Great location two blocks from the mainstreet. Ok room but with a wonderful terrasse with panoramic seaview and sun all day. Comfortable pool and wonderful terrasse for the breakfast

The best view of the stunning Mediterranean This hotel is a special place as it has an old-world charm, a fabulous pool, is close to the restaurants and shops and a simply stunning view of the Mediterranean and Mt Etna

Friendly, helpful, polite and thoughtful. A delightful position perched up above the main area in Taormina, with a fabulous pool and the hotel terrace for breakfast and drinks has the most wonderful view of Mount Etna

There is an unbeatable sea view on one side and a mountain view on the other side next to the swimming pool. The beach is just across the road from the hotel

The hotel is clean, modern & well equipped with a terrace bar & roof top pool. Only a 2 minute walk from the beautiful Isola Bella beach (5 minutes to get back - man those stairs are steep) it's ideal for sun lounging

This hotel has a fantastic location, facing the sea and Île Béla, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. A cobblestone path across the street leads directly to the beach 🏝️, where beach chairs cost €15 per person

Shower gel, shampoo, and slippers were provided. Breakfast was served on the fourth floor facing the sea, making breakfast a delightful experience every day! A very cost-effective hotel!

The hotel is generally clean, provides slippers and free drinking water, and has a very good breakfast. The restaurant and rooms offer great views, including a beautiful sea view

We loved this hotel! Traditional and homely, friendly staff, really enjoyed our stay. Lovely buffet breakfast, pool, and views. Beach at Giardini Naxos is so nice! Got a boat trip from there too

We had a superior sea facing room which was okay with a nice view but would have appreciated a couple of comfy chairs and some drinks in the fridge and milk for tea & coffee

This property is beautifully situated and I really felt I was in Sicily! It’s quaint and the staff is very helpful, especially the woman who set up breakfast, Georgina? She also made/ brought lunch on the veranda

Views from the hotel and the surrounding area are just fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking tricky like most of Italy. Bed and pillows ok but not great

This was our second stay at Hotel Villa Sirina, as always it was lovely!

The heat worked well (which was important in December). We stayed in the jacuzzi room - which was discounted because we booked at the last minute during the off-season

The hotel is located on the highest hillside, next to a public parking lot, which makes it convenient to drive here by yourself, but it is difficult to get a parking space immediately in the peak season

The sun is bright and the scenery is picturesque. The public area of ​​the hotel is also facing the sea. It is very cost-effective and worth recommending

Stayed for 4 nights in a jacuzzi room with garden. Really nice clean room, great service. Because it was low season the bar and restaurant were not open but it’s just a short walk into town

The room had a strong musty smell, which was a bad experience. It's very close to the town center but far from the sea.

The gardens are beautiful & relaxing! From the outside, it doesn't look like much because it is on a cliff but once inside some rooms have a beautiful view of the seas

Pros: great location close to the main center with all the shops/restaurants. Also only a 5 min walk to the cable cars giving you direct access to the beach. Breakfast in the AM was very good and the staff was very kind

I could rave about every aspect of this hotel - the design of the rooms (important as our family of four had no issues finding space for all of our luggage and personal items, yet the room was still very comfortable), the team that works at the hotel, the pool, the restaurant, the location

If you need a hotel with stunning views and great access to the cable car, this is the place. The staff's response is immediate. For any request, their answer is YES, and then they clarify what is needed

They react promptly to minor complaints. Everything is of very high quality and pleasant. Because of this, even tipping the staff was not an issue. Water was replenished every day

The only downside I would suggest is that they should consider organizing additional wine tastings on-site

Beach access was great. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Rooms were very clean. We had a problem with toilet seat and it was fixed immediately. We recommend this darling establishment

The room is great, there is a terrace, an outdoor swimming pool, and the service is also very warm

Absolutely stunning! This hotel is built into the hillside, so every room offers ocean views. You can really connect with nature and greenery right from your balcony

The breakfast room is bathed in sunlight and even offers distant views of the snow-capped Mount Etna. The breakfast was excellent, and the location is great too (with several good restaurants nearby for dinner)

Of course, the downhill road can be quite a challenge for drivers

Only serve breakfast, pool was closed, TV is size or a laptop mounted on the wall and decor shows year of use with scratches and chips. Balcony is nice but could not use as no privacy

This 120-year-old grand dame of a hotel is filled with character. It’s not shiny and new and WiFi is patchy in the rooms but it is ideally located and has a lovely pool area and gorgeous views.

(I was confused because it didn't include breakfast when booking, but I was told it was included when I checked in. ) The hotel has a small garden with a beautiful pool at the end

It came with a small terrace with a sea view. The bathroom seemed renovated, and the fixtures were relatively new. The Western breakfast was standard, with smoothies available

Although old, the common areas have been largely renovated and are well-maintained. The high ceilings make for a comfortable and pleasant experience, and the staff are friendly. I even had a room tour of my single room

The hotel's extra services are above four-star standards, including a spa, lunch, bar, and dinner (though I didn't try them). The guest area inside the room looked older, but it was spacious enough

The location is very good, get to the catherdral from the garden only takes 3 minutes. We can see Etna from our balcony. The Sky roof top restaurant is vey nice, good food and wine, with view of Etna

A highlight was the complimentary lemonade at the front desk, and they could help call a taxi to the bus terminal (note that you should make sure the taxi fare is the same as what you agreed beforehand, as they might try to charge extra)

The breakfast every morning was delicious! And the view from their private beach is breathtaking. There is a nice quiet bar on the beach that is open until midnight

We got the hotel late night and friendly staff welcomed us with a welcome drink. Friendly staff specially Irene who helped us a lot during our stay and gifted us with flowers when she knew that we are in a honeymoon

At the beach club, a staff member followed us to our room, claiming we had not paid the bill, even though we had paid cash. There was a train track running just behind our room, train noise was annoying

Lovely views and good access to beach

Our family planned a last-minute trip to Taormina. Needless to say, finding a hotel on short notice wasn’t easy. Our travel agent recommended a few options, but we discovered LaPlage on our own

Normally, we would book hotels on the level of the Ritz-Carlton (or similar brands), but given the last-minute nature of this trip, our choices were limited

The view remains unchanged —Etna! The sea below spreads itself like a promise, or a threat. But let us speak of the pigeons. They are not your ordinary urban scavengers

On our last day we ordered a simple steak with fries and a green salad at the pool grill. It was grey and chewy with very little flavour

we enjoyed drinks and light lunch on the beautiful Terrace with great views of Mount Etna. It was just perfect as was Fabio our amazing waiter. He must get a mention as the best waiter in the world

The pigeons of the Grand Hotel Timeo are imperialists. They have studied Machiavelli. One — let us call him Generalissimo — stationed himself at my table

I was merely an obstacle between himself and what he clearly considered his just desserts. They descend upon your cornetto with the confidence of venture capitalists, their beady eyes holding neither apology nor doubt

Communication from the property was clear and prompt. We were delayed and had to check in after hours, and were given very clear instructions to assist. Can't fault the service at all

(different to some in photos) The Maintenance Assistant can be seen working on site every day. The citrus trees in the grounds provide natural shade to the pool and some terraces

A great location and the on site parking is a bonus! Really comfortable room and space. Will definitely recommend to friends and family

Great spot to visit Taormina Room was clean and perfectly as described. Pool was also a great feature. Good location, bit of a climb into town but not too bad once you know what to expect

However, I would suggest a Tree Surgeon needs to give them some attention. If not within a few years the trees will have taken over, obscuring lovely views and intruding onto terraces/ balconies
