Florence, Via Maso Finiguerra, 9 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Location is okay, but need 15-20 mins walk to the attractions. However, it is near to train station, abt 5 mins walk. Room is clean, everything is good.
It's quite good Many restaurants around And self service laundry
There is a laundry shop right next to the hotel if you need, which is also very convenient. Plenty of dining options steps away, I would recommend the Maso, which has an extensive variety with reasonable prices
Overall, it's not a terrible experience. However, the rooms are very dated, and the service is definitely not up to a 4* standard. The area is a little dodgy but is in walking distance of the town centre
Good location. Love the spacious comfort room . Room had 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Very spacious toilet . Generous toiletries. Breakfast served from 7am. Friendly hotel staff. Highly recommend
The hotel is very well located: literally 5 minutes walk from the station, but in a quiet place. Breakfast is rather weak for a hotel of this class, everything else corresponds to 4 stars

They offer quite a bit of amenities (we loved the robe/slippers, turn down service and laundry service). This was our favorite hotel on our 3 city Italian honeymoon :)
This was hands down my absolute favorite hotel of the entire Europe trip! It boasts a sophisticated, understated 'old money' charm
The location is superb, and for the price, staying in a hotel of this caliber felt like incredible value for money – I was extremely satisfied! It's conveniently located near both the train station and all the main attractions
The front desk staff is very friendly. Because we are on our honeymoon, they helped us upgrade to a suite. Although it is in the downtown area, the windows are three layers, so the room is very quiet
Excellent hôtel, the little balcony garden is terrific, decoration and hotel atmosphere is stunning  Highly recommended
Amazing hotel. Brilliant service. Brilliant location walking distance from everything

Everything was absolutely perfect! 👍 It's the closest option to the train station, and I would definitely choose it again for my next trip to Florence
I even went up to the rooftop in the morning to snap some photos; you get a nice view of the city's buildings, and it's definitely a photogenic spot
The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable
It was surprisingly quiet – much quieter than I expected given its proximity to the station
The room key had a distinctively large tag, which I found quite charming
Our first night was in a balcony room, and the view was fantastic. However, the soundproofing was very poor, and I was woken up by loud noises around 6 or 7 PM.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A special thanks to Antonella, the restaurant manager, whose warm hospitality and insightful recommendations on food and wine elevated every meal
It is a luxurious hotel. Breakfast was amazing. The room was super nice, mattress and pillows are perfect. The atmosphere is cozy and wonderful. A very beautiful rooftop. Amazing cocktails in the bar. I love it
Great location and very friendly and attentive front desk staff. Only about a 7 minute walk from the train station. The restaurant was INCREDIBLE. We had dinner there one night and the chef came out to meet us
From the moment we arrived, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze impressed us with its charm and authenticity. The building itself is a beautiful piece of Florentine history—elegant, timeless, and full of character
This hotel was absolutely lovely. It is well located near the Duomo, shopping, restaurants, etc. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are nice, but some may be on the smaller side
The BEST hotel we stayed at during our 2 week euro trip. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and caring. They even brought our toddlers some coloring books and teddy bears after we checked in

Too bad though that the chairs in the terrace were uncomfortable and rusty. The pool and hotel terrace view are much smaller than the pictures but they are well maintained
Great place lovely staff. Breakfast was good and a great selection. view from rooftop was excellent would go again
The location was excellent - a quick walk from the Central Train Station and easy to walk throughout the whole city center
I would be worried if it were later in the season - we didn't see any signs of central air conditioning but perhaps there is and we just didn't see it
We asked if we could change to one of the rooms we could see beside ours that had the same size deck with no roof over it but we were told (quite rudely) by the man at the front desk that we hadn't booked a room with a deck! Otherwise, the staff were very nice!
The "deck" was large enough for one person to step outside on - half of it was covered by a roof so, while there were two chairs on it, only one person could sit - the other would have been bending under a roof

Then there is the most dynamic group of concierge professionals you will find in Florence, who not only have a pulse on everything and anything you need, but happen to be a group of gentlemen that you enjoy their company just sitting and talking about life, as I so thoroughly enjoyed every single day of my trip Bottom line… The Westin Excelsior is indeed a 5+ star hotel that I hate to admit it, has...
A beautiful hotel in the heart of Florence. The room was amazing and the surroundings were magnificent. The staff were fantastic and the bar area was amazing with a live Piano play on each evening
During my stay, the hotel was undergoing a large-scale renovation. Half of the entrance was sealed, the lobby became smaller, and the rooftop restaurant with a view was closed
Due to my platinum status, I was upgraded to an Arno view room, and I must say everything about it was stunning. The room, the view and the little touches that the team has put into making our stay memorable
They have a chef who makes the most fantastic omlettes, and the stocking of the buffet breakfast is done maticuloulsly. Our go-to hotel from now on when we will inevitably return to Florence
We had a few drinks at the bar and the service team were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good as well, they had a small section of Asian food, which is quite rare in Europe

One thing to note: after taking the elevator to the guest floors, there are still a few steps to climb—so it might not be the best choice for those with mobility issues
Excelent location, great staff, a good breakfast. But an excelent price/quality relation. I recomend!!
The hotel has a great location with good service, and it's close to major attractions. However, the rooms are a bit dimly lit, and the facilities are somewhat outdated
2) the toilet flash was broken, never worked on the first try - I had to press many-many times to flush it. It didn't ruin the experience, but it's a bit annoying for sure
Very convenient location and nice staff. Breakfast is ok even if the organisation and product choice could be improved. The room was simple but ok and clean
Located right in the centre of Florence and within walking distance to the S M Novella train station. Loved our stay, especially the convenient location. Charming historical hotel whose age did not bother too much

The location is perfect—close to the train station, shuttle, shopping areas, restaurants, and all the main attractions. The hotel itself is beautiful, with historic décor that gives you a very special feeling
We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Santa Maria Novella. The location couldn’t be more perfect—just steps away from the train station and within easy walking distance of all the city’s main sights
Experiencing modern and luxurious amenities inside a historic building in the heart of the city created such a beautiful memory. From the moment we arrived until check-out, everything was excellent
Water pressure and temperature were amazing, though be cautious getting in and out of the bathtub. Friendly, attentive staff and a great breakfast. Old-world charm meets modern comfort
The reception staff were polite, professional, responsive, and very welcoming. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh coffee every morning
Spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located within walking distance of the train station. We loved watching the nightly performances in the square from our balcony

Centrally located, beautiful rooms, 2 free waters per day in a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, set in a beautiful room, with art painted on the ceilings!
Charming, historic hotel in the heart of Florence. Easy walk to all the main attractions. Beautiful interior design with amazing views. Very nice, affordable breakfast
Some of rooms are oddly configured since they were put into original villa but al in all a good place to stay
The rooms would benefit from renovation but the hotel itself has a history and a nice soul, and the staff conveys a caring atmosphere
From big (packing up breakfast boxes for us all for early morning departures) to small (loaning some packing tape so I could try to get a suitcase through one more flight) they do it all
As a radical night owl, I absolutely loved it that tea, coffee, and tasty biscuits were available in the breakfast hall 24/7 for self-service

This is the best hotel we stayed in Italy, with amazing attention to details, including room facilities where you will be amazed by the set up of the bathtub, the concierge, Cosmo, who can book you any restaurant in the city and grant you VIP treatment in The Mall Firenza, the doorman’s hospitality is also amazing, plus it is in the center of of city where all the hot spots are in walking distance
The suite we booked is in Rococo style. It's very beautiful and clean. There's also a super delicious dessert shop called Iginio Massari opposite. I've been to Florence many times and this hotel is my favorite
It takes 6 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and 15 minutes to walk to the Uffizi Gallery. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the best Hunan restaurant in Florence called "Master Ba"
Very good hotel! Convenient location, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, hotel-museum. The breakfast place is simply amazing. One of the best hotels I've visited.
If there is only one flaw, it may be that the breakfast is not very suitable for our taste, but this is not important. You can choose to go out for breakfast in a coffee shop
During this trip to Italy, this hotel in Florence is the most satisfactory. It has high cost performance, good service and environment, and beautiful and large rooms

The hotel is close to the train terminal and very quiet. Porter took our bags and showed us to our room in a beautiful annex. High quality furnishings and architecture. The web site doesn’t do it justice
The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom amenities are convenient and practical. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay in Florence. The only downside was the average breakfast
Great hotel for the price you pay. A four star hotel is a fair rating considering the quality of amenities and services. Definitely an older hotel but kept clean and tidy
Just a 5-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station and close to the city’s main attractions, this hotel is ideally located
We had a family room (1 king + 2 singles) and it was wonderful. We were here when it was a heat wave 37C outside but the rooms were 20C very nice. The buffet in the morning was top notch
Really close proximity to the center of the city although that comes with a lot of people and noise as soon as you go out the door. The staff was friendly and listened to our requests

Hotels of this style in Europe are not staffed all the time, like in the US. This one had a policy that you had to call prior if you were going to be checking in later than 8pm
Adorable, amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, great value. Our room was super quiet and dark- able.
The Tourist house was very charming, while the furnishings were old, the price was right and the location was excellent. The bathroom was good to great
When the person came to let us in, they were very helpful and friendly, even though we didn't follow their rules and call ahead
We didn't have a phone, so we weren't able to call. Instead we had to ask a local Gelateria to use their phone
I recommend everyone to go to this hotel, the cleanliness, the punctuality of the delivery room, but, above all, to the point where it is and the price, I recommend to the owners to modernize a little bit the structure.

The Central Station is less than 10 minutes away, and getting around to all the tourist sites is super convenient
It's a bit different from how it used to be, but the staff are friendly and the rooms are well-cleaned. The absolute best part? The Duomo is just a 5-minute walk away, haha! Other spots are also easily accessible
The location was fantastic—right in the center of the city, with easy access to popular sights, dining, and shopping
the spa jets for the foot bath only working on two, ordering a breakfast yoghurt without nuts and recieving it with 2/3 nuts and room wise: the wardrobe door not closing all the way, the mini fridge not being cold enough (personal preference of mince so do take with a grain of salt) and the shower having mild rust on the outside but other than that everything really was amazing
The reception team was very helpful, providing useful information and answering all our questions with a friendly attitude. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, which made our stay even more enjoyable
Overall, this hotel offered everything we needed for a comfortable, hassle-free city stay

On the second night, it continued, and it was even worse than the first night. I don’t know if I am allergic to the detergent used in the bathroom. I asked the room attendant to flush the shower room
On the third night, it was still the same. Halfway through the shower, I started to have tears and runny nose, and I couldn’t open my eyes. Fortunately, I only stayed for three nights
I’m not sure what someone else that wrote a bad review about the breakfast was expecting but my wife and I were very pleased
Regis Venice, left us with a great impression, we thought that St. Regis Florence would be just as good, but it was not what we expected. We stayed for three nights in a row
Incredible experience and staff. We arrived early and they contacted the staff immediately and prioritized cleaning our room so we could check-in early. Breakfast was delightful and set in a beautiful room on a balcony

Moreover, the hotel was also located in the city center. The only downside was the noise coming from the bathroom of the neighbours during their early check out
Hotel reception staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean, AC was good, showers and restrooms were good. 11 of us arrived after travelling from the states. There were adults and children 10 to 15
The service and attention to detail was impressive, made even more so by the very reasonable rates. Also, the location of the hotel was perfect for our walking tours. We will stay here next time in Florence.
They made accommodations for all of us and made several recommendations regarding the foods. Everyone got something different and we shared family style. Each meal was prepared to perfection
The food came out all at once (for a large party very impressive) all hot and delicious. The suggestions from the staff was enough fill everyone and also leave room for some delicious desserts

The unbeatable central location made sightseeing effortless, while amenities like the spa provided the perfect retreat after a day in Florence

You can walk anywhere in Florence from here! As other reviews have said, yes it can be noisy, however, I feel everything else about the hotel makes up for that. One of the best hotels we've stayed at thus far on our trip
Location- 5 minutes walking distance from Florence station. Breakfast- Simple and decent Cleanliness- It’s an old hotel but the cleanliness is well maintained. We enjoy our two nights here!
The breakfast buffet was great, we were able to refill our water anytime with a machine on the 1st floor. I’d definitely choose to stay here again if I ever come back to Florence

We have been to Florence before and stayed at the Four Seasons, which is also lovely but not centrally located
The central location put the Savoy, in our opinion, especially when factored with the great service and beautiful accommodation, above that other experience
The staff of the property were each very friendly and helpful, offering ideas for restaurants and places to see, even offering to unpack and then repack our suitcases. We did not encounter one person who did not smile
’ We stayed in a beautiful one bedroom suite which included a large living room, bedroom, and beautifully appointed bathroom. The high ceilings of our room were lovely and the decor of the spaces were lovely
My makeup was placed on a fresh linen. This shows an attention to detail which we have not experienced at our other ‘five star’ hotels’ this stay and it has made a big difference in my opinion of the hotel
Here is where the small details stood out: upon arriving back to our suite I found that each pair of my reading glasses was placed on a small cleaning cloth. Bookmarks were carefully placed in our books

"The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is very close to the central market, restaurants and the train station, and can be reached within walking distance
Facilities: A little old, but still in line with Florence Hygiene: Not bad, a little old, but generally clean Service: The service attitude is very good and all questions are answered patiently
Nice hotel. Within walking distance of the train station and just round the corner from the central market. Good sized rooms with plenty of storage space. Only let down was that WiFi is extra.
The hotel is located in the old town of Florence, very close to Santa Maria Novella Station, and within walking distance to major attractions. The hotel breakfast is also very good.
