We were surprised by the beaautiful, artsy, aestheticaly pleasing rooms, it truly felt like a fairy tale. The lush nearby nature was like a cherry on top. Our stay at Mormoraia was truly unforgettable. Our patio and room faced the city of San Gimignano and it was breathtaking. The food was incredible (the truffle pasta was my go-to each night). It is a beautiful property, but unfortunately we didn’t feel very welcomed by most of the staff. The only person who made us feel truly welcomed was the one who checked us in. If you are looking for a place to "immerse yourself" in Tuscany, this is the right place .... isolated in the countryside with all the services, the staff is very welcoming. You are in the center for a few trips between Siena Pisa and the surrounding valleys. But if you don't feel like moving, there's still a swimming pool. Highly recommended!!!! We rented two rooms and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and we had a common area with a kitchen and dinning area joining the rooms like a little apartment. The city is very hilly and to reach it from the hotel is an uphill walk but it is very close to everything. Rooms were clean and everything worked well. We parked in the P4 lot and you can walk but it is a bit far with luggage.
