Agriturismo Il Casolare di Bucciano in San Gimignano

My husband & I spent 4 wonderful nights luxuriating in our huge room with everything we could need. Breakfast was a spectacular assortment of pastries, fresh fruit, coffee made to order, eggs, yogurt…and it was a different spread every day. We felt very welcomed by the family & loved being far enough away from a road or city so we had complete serenity AND beauty. It’s located in a very central location so we made day trips to surrounding ancient hilltop villages.

This property was exactly what i was looking for to be in touch with nature. The owners cooked for us an amazing meal with ingredients from their farm. I loved my views, I loved the view of the town from my window !!!!! I recommend this hotel to everyone

The perfect stay
A lovely Agriturismo that was exactly what I wished for: beautiful views of San Gimignano and Tuscany hills, relaxing and calm, cute and comfortable rooms, great breakfast and an amazing home cooked dinner served on the terrace. We will come back for sure!

Nice location with astonishing view of San Gimignano and surrounding wine yards and olive groves. Not all staff speak English but you get by. The offered four course dinner is good but I had hoped that they would present the food and its origins a little more. Also they didn’t present their wines or offer any wine tastings. The wines on offer were ok. Rooms are charming as is the villa.

If you're looking for a place that's quiet and off the beaten path this is it! Set in the beautiful country side, the scenery and gorgeous views itself will calm even the most turbulent mind! My family and I (3 total- English speakers only-which was fine most staff was able to communicate) stayed only one night, but it was wonderful. The place is a bit rustic, but in good condition. The meals were like a blast from the past with what seemed like your grandmother and family sitting down for family dinners, very homey and nostalgic.

My advice to you if you do book here is either drive yourself or make sure you have planned drivers (the property actually recommended this post arrival) as it is in the "middle of nowhere" (AKA countryside about a 20 minute drive from San G). If you're looking for a place to be in the action, walkable to and from places I would NOT recommend this place as there is no restaurants, stores, etc. However, if you're looking for a place to relax and recuperate? This is it.

The view from room 3 was the most spectacular view I have ever experienced. That itself was worth 5 stars. Great place.

4,5* would be a perfect score as I feel that 4* is a bit too low, however despite everything being absolutely OK there was something lacking for us to give 5*. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, location is also good - a short ride from San Gimignano.
