The on site caretaker is an absolute gem. So kind and accommodating. Went out of his way at every turn. We wish him well.
Pool was clean and refreshing, grounds well kept and facilities comfy.
This is the place you've been looking for to spend your time at in Tuscany. Plan to spend an extra day or 3, trust me.
While it's definitely best to have a car, we didn't and here are our lessons: bring food, make reservations in advance for breakfast/lunch/dinner at the two nearby Villas within walking distance and plan your trip to San G via the local bus with the Google maps (has the right timetable for the bus but watch out, last ride is around 5pm). It's possible to walk to San G but is mostly up hill. The return is mostly downhill and lovely. Taxis can't be relied upon at all.
One item is the wifi, which can be very spotty (due to the provider.) I wouldn't count on it for video calls but who cares when you're living your best Tuscan life?!
We'll remember our time here fondly and I hope that life brings us back here one day.
The rural setting is wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and Bruno was always there for advice and logistics. The view of the sunset is wonderful, as is the night view of San Gimignano.
The restaurant served 5-course meal, totally Italian home-cooking style and with wine in abundance.
