⭐ One Star – A Hotel to Avoid at All Costs ⭐

I travelled from the UK and was deeply disappointed from the moment I arrived. There was no welcome, no offer of help, and no guidance to our room—just a cold reception.

The room was uncomfortable, with an air conditioning unit you can’t control (it runs constantly), and the beds were rock hard—easily the worst sleep I’ve had in a hotel.

Do not book breakfast. The food was low quality, limited, and repetitive. I looked at the evening meals and they were the same every night—unappetising and uninspired.

The location is very poor if you don’t drive. It’s a 30–40 minute walk into Torrevieja, mostly along a very dark, unlit coastal path that feels unsafe at night.

There was nothing relaxing or enjoyable about this stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere—you’ll thank yourself later.

Stayed 10 nights in Appartments building 'Maison du Lac' directly across the road from the lake & beautiful views. Had everything we needed for our 10 night stay & aircon was efficient albeit noisy. Wifi excelent in our apt. Building newly kitted out in 2024. Road extremely busy & no pedestrian crossing, so beware! Need a car as nearest supermarket is in Tori del Benaco (20 mins walk) & therefore difficult if depending on unreliable busses & in 35 deg heat. Taxi service virtually non existant. Nearest busstop for direction Garda at Frader A (650m) & stop Frader B direction Malchesine st 500m. Sometimes the bus does not come & need to wait for next one, or bus is full & they pass you by 😢 We didn't spend much time at the pool or in the hotel. Our overall impression of the hotel was poor, with drab, dated furniture & unkempt grounds & flowers pots cracked, weeds everywhere & broken tiles underfoot. The hotel caters mainly for German bus tours for pensioners. The pool is ok, quite small & plenty of sunloungers however very little ambience & diesel fumes evident the day we visited. The staff on reception were ok but not overly helpful. The waiters were very good.

A superb view... but that's the only positive!
The hotel is old and not very well maintained. No hot water on the first night, no air conditioning either. The room, exposed to direct sunlight without blinds, reached a temperature of 30°C upon arrival.
It was impossible to lower the temperature other than by opening the window.
At reception, I was simply told:
– "Hot water? It'll be back tomorrow."
– "Air conditioning? Yes, I'll turn it on later..."
Suffice it to say, it's far from the standards expected for a hotel of this category.

Unbelievable that this hotel has 4 stars.
The only thing that was okay was the breakfast. The dinner was inedible, the hotel is very worn. The staff seemed like they didn't care about having guests. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Don't expect too much. It's definitely not worth 4 stars. Rooms were clean but the furniture is from the 60s or 70s (so it looks pretty well used). The pool is quite ok also the access to the beach is ok but very dangerous because of the street without any crosswalk nearby. Spa and whirlpool were closed due to Corona-Virus. Staff is friendly. But all in all the whole hotel needs to be refurbished!
