One thing to be aware of: after 11 p.m. you cannot sit outside due to local noise regulations. The bar also closes around that time, so unfortunately you cannot buy water later in the evening and should think about it in advance.
Another point: we were traveling with friends who had to leave a bit earlier than planned, but unfortunately they were charged the full amount for the two nights they did not stay. This was rather surprising, as in many hotels in such situations usually only 30% of the fee is charged. It was slightly unpleasant, but we did not escalate the matter further. We actually took over their room as it had a better view of the lake.
Overall, the hotel is nice, with a beautiful view and a fairly large parking lot, although during our last visit there were a lot of cars and parking was a bit problematic. Still, in general, the hotel fully deserves its two stars.

About the position, quite near the center of Torri del Benaco AND you just cross the street and you're on the "beach". The beach is quieter than the other beaches I have seen around there.
