Avoid – Dirty, Unsanitary, & Horrible Customer Service

Our room had black mold and dirt in the shower. There also was a stale smell throughout. Staff admitted the problem after I sent them pictures, but failed to clean our room or relocate us. We had no choice but to immediately leave Ca’Morosini. As a result, we promptly asked for a refund, but they refused to refund us.

Additionally, this is not a standard hotel — it’s a self-service property with no staff on-site, despite what was represented on Booking.com at the time I booked. If something’s wrong (like seeing black mold), you are on your own.

Booking.com’s customer service was also horrible. Even after Booking.com acknowledged the pictures of mold in the shower and the hazardous conditions, they also refused to refund us. Booking.com and Ca'Morosini came across as completely unreasonable and greedy for refusing to issue a refund under these horrendous circumstances.

Travelers should know about the risks of mold and dirt in the shower and the horrible customer service.

Book elsewhere in Venice or in this area if you value cleanliness or your health.

For the price it was exceptional; located next to St Stefano Sq. We had the 3 person suite with a balcony. All stairs to the 3rd floor. Comfortable beds. Easy to access with Orange Aqualeguna from airport to St Angelo

The room was beautiful. We got the premium room and It felt like we were in palace. It was easy to get to places. The virtual check in went smoothly. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Venice.

The location is PERFECT. Room was clean and daily service was given to the full. Host does not responded to our messages but she was easily reached by a phone call. Sure will be back!

It’s in a very clean and central location. Being able to check in ahead of time is a big convenience. When you arrive tired from the road, you can go straight to your room. There are lovely cafés just downstairs, so no need to search far for anything. That heavy smell typical of Venice isn’t present here.

We booked two rooms. The Morini room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The bed was large and cozy. My sibling stayed in the corner room, which is far too small for two people. That room should only be used by one person. There’s no space to open a suitcase or settle in. If one person is standing, the other has to be on the bed—it’s that cramped. The bed is smaller than the one in our room, but perfect for a single guest. The window opening directly above the bed is also quite annoying—you risk hitting your head at any moment.

Excellent hotel near the center of Venice. It was clean, with regular room cleaning, and located in a quiet area. We received all the instructions by email and double-checked the correct entrance, as the one on Google Maps was incorrect. The hotel also has a nice lobby where we could make coffee or tea. My daughter and I had a wonderful time!

Great hotel close to the center of Venice. It’s clean, with housekeeping services, and it’s not too noisy. We received all the instructions by email and checked the correct entrance location on Google Maps, as the one on the map was incorrect. The hotel also has a nice lobby area. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay!

Small but nice. Great location. No fridge or microwave. Private bath was spacious by European standards.
