Most excellent hotel stay ever, kind staff helping with bags, well maintained building and clean facilities. Excellent breakfast quality too. Highly recommended.

Hotel Columbia is in an absolutely perfect spot, away from the crowded streets of San Marco, but close enough to walk to the hot spots in five minutes.

It rests on a canal with a view of the bridge of sighs and plenty of restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The only issue was that there was some mold in the room and water from the shower seemed to seep through the wall into the area with the bedroom. I know that this is an old city built on water but it may be something to look at.

The staff was wonderful and the live music on Thursday evening was lovely. We got loaded on drinks and linked up with some Americans and Brits. We enjoyed yelling Bona Cera to every boat that passed by..

The front desk called us a private water taxi to the train station which picked us up on the canal, it was great!

My daughter and I spent two nights at this hotel in September of this year. The first night there were no issues. The second night there was a horrific stench that smelled like a sewer line had broken. I went down to the desk to inform them and they sent a worker up to spray. To no avail. I slept in the breakfast area all night. Early in the morning I went down to the desk again to let them know what happened and told him that I should get a refund for that last horrible night. He totally ignored me and when I contacted the management they sent an e mail saying, "Sorry".
All in Italy went well except for the stay at this hotel.

Leaving this review after only one night of a two night stay! This hotel is that good!

Manuel was very helpful to store our luggage ahead of a 2pm check in. Also suggested a motor boat tour booked through Hotel Columbina, but paid in cash. This boat left from front doors and was the best tour we did in Venice for value and photo opportunities!

Please take advantage of the buffet breakfast here!! You won’t regret the affordable price for all you get!!

Book Hotel Columbina with confidence and it’s less than a 10 minute walk to almost everything!!

Best location close to everything. Can from train is expensive but the best boat ride you will have. Room was small but in Europe. Does not look like pictures for the lowest price but I would for sure book again there. Breakfast is not on terrace it is inside. Nice place

Everything was wonderful including the delicious breakfast buffet. Had plenty of choices including protein options such as eggs, meats, cheeses, Greek yogurt as well as delicious pastry options. Bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but family room was very large and comfortable for 4 of us

Hotel did not meet expectations. Website said they had an elevator which they did not. It was boarded up and looked like it had been out of service for months. Air conditioning did not work in the room and only cooled the hallway. Room was spacious and had two beds, but would not stay here again.

We stayed in a quadruple room.

The hotel is very close to Piazza San Marco, about a three-minute walk. There's a street full of delicious food right outside. The facilities are very complete and upscale.
The only downside is that the air conditioning doesn't work before June. You can only open the windows for ventilation, but there are a lot of mosquitoes. I was woken by mosquito bites both nights.

The staff were very polite and had a nice smile.

So pleased to have found Hotel Colombina. We enjoyed wonderful few days at end March. The location is excellent - 2 mins walk to St Mark's Square. We had 2 rooms, one with beautiful view of the canal and Bridge of Sighs, and the other with roof terrace, 360 degree views including domes of St Marks and also the canal, bridge.
All the staff were super helpful and friendly right from moment we stepped off the boat from the airport to when we left . It made our trip so special. We would definitely recommend and look forward to coming again

Had a fantastic 40th wedding anniversary break in Venice. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. Wonderful room with view of the canal and bridge of sighs. Breakfast excellent. Hotel is in a great central location. Loved my stay there. Can not wait to revisit the beautiful city of Venice and this hotel. Thank you to all for making our stay special. A special mention for Marco the driver who took us on a cruise around the grand canal organised by the hotel it was fantastic, he was brilliant .
