Reviews
The property sits in a beautiful calm island full of trees and and amenities, you won’t be bored easily and if do, Venice is just a quick 20min ride away. The spa is a must do. Staff everywhere was kind and professional, the in-house restaurant is surprisingly good, everyone accommodated to our requests which of course we appreciate.
Only negative point was the rather lacking housekeeping, probably due to some logistics issues, which we informed and we were not compensated (not that we didn’t ask either).
The hotel looks beautiful in pictures, but the overall experience was a major letdown. The property is located on its own island, which sounds exclusive, but in reality, it’s very inconvenient. There were no clear signs or staff at the designated pickup point in Venice, making it stressful and confusing to find where to go.
We arrived around 3 PM, during normal check-in hours, but the hotel shuttle only runs once every hour. If you miss it, the only alternative is a private water taxi costing about €100 one way. Between finding the pickup point, waiting, taking the shuttle, and checking in, it took us nearly three hours to finally reach the hotel.
Because of this, we lost a huge portion of our short two-day stay and couldn’t fully enjoy Venice. The location makes it very difficult to go back and forth to the main city, especially in the evenings, so you end up feeling isolated.
The breakfast was very basic, with limited options — definitely not up to JW Marriott standards. The pool was not heated, and the jacuzzi water was cold, making it impossible to relax even though the setting itself was nice.
The only positive was that the staff upgraded us to a Junior Suite, which was spacious and comfortable. However, that small gesture couldn’t make up for the poor logistics, lack of coordination, and overall disappointment.
Honestly, even if I were offered a free stay, I wouldn’t return. Venice has many stunning and convenient hotels — unfortunately, this one simply isn’t worth the hassle.
The spa was lovely — a bit on the smaller side, but still a great experience overall. What really stood out to us was the impeccable service. I actually left my other phone in the room and didn’t realize it until I was already at the train station with my train leaving in about 30 minutes. The team at JW Marriott handled everything so quickly and professionally — they found the phone and sent it to me on the next shuttle boat.
Overall, it was a truly memorable experience. JW Marriott never disappoints, and I’d highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Venice.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were amazing — so friendly and helpful! Special thanks to Virginia, the manager at Sagra Restaurant, and Josephine for their exceptional service and kindness.
The spa is fantastic — relaxing, elegant, and highly recommended. I also loved my morning walks around the island, truly a magical way to start the day.
A wonderful stay overall — I can’t wait to return!
The hotel’s convenient location deserves special mention: it is situated on a private island, offering a sense of seclusion and tranquility, yet the main attractions are easily accessible via a free shuttle that runs regularly.
I also want to highlight the SPA area and the pool overlooking the Venetian lagoon — the perfect way to relax after long walks.
The accommodations were stylish and modern, making sure we all felt comfortable and relaxed. My daughter and I particularly enjoyed the spacious gardens and pool area. We also loved the breakfast buffet, which offered a wonderful variety of food.
The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect, from family-friendly activity suggestions to dining options that catered to our tastes.
Exploring Venice was a breeze thanks to the hotel’s convenient boat shuttle, but we also cherished our quiet moments on the island. The JW Marriott Venice provided an unforgettable experience, blending the charm of Venice with world-class luxury. We can’t wait to return!
