Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

Not a bad hotel after all. All the basic is there and is somewhat clean. Location is good. Bus stop is just right infront of the hotel easy. Nice view too

The room offers a direct view of Mount Fuji the moment you open the window. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. The room itself is a bit small, and the bathroom entrance has a raised threshold, so be careful when going in and out. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally tripped.

Need to call from Kawaguchiko Station for free shuttle pick up. Go to the Tourist Information Center to ask to call for you or there is a public phone at the station cost 10 yen per min. Free shuttle to the station as well.

Yukata, toiletries are all self service at every floor in front of the lifts.

This hotel has hot spring.

Drinking water can be refilled at the ground floor beside the hot spring entrance.

Front desk are friendly and some can speak Mandarin.

7 Eleven is 5 min walk (turn left).

There is one restaurant just in front of the hotel however more eating places near the main station.

Clean and nice

Great value for money. It's just over 900 meters from Kawaguchiko Station, and you can contact the front desk for pick-up and drop-off when you arrive or depart (they have staff who speak Chinese). The mountain-view rooms offer a view of Mount Fuji from one side of the window. The breakfast was also very good, and the shuttle bus driver, Sam, and other staff provided excellent and attentive service.

10mins walk to Kawaguchiko station. Getting the shuttle bus was troublesome, I’d rather walk. Onsen was a great touch, worth trying if you are not visiting a full-fledged onsen. Room was clean and comfortable. Yukata, comb, razor provided.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations!

**Facilities:** I saw some guests mention the hotel being old, but actually, the facilities are excellent. Besides the distinctive tatami rooms and rooms facing Mount Fuji, there's also the hotel's special hot spring. The outdoor bath has such a great vibe, and it's real hot spring water – my skin felt so smooth afterwards.

**Environment:** There are absolutely no issues with the hotel's environment, cleanliness, or rooms; it meets a four-star-plus standard. You can see a full view of Mount Fuji within a 3-minute walk from the hotel, with both sunrise and sunset clearly visible.

**Dining:** The hotel's breakfast isn't particularly varied; I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. Dinner, however, is highly recommended. It offers a good variety of Japanese specialties, and many people think it's much better than eating out. Some reviews recommend the Wheat restaurant in the hotel courtyard or the restaurant across the street, but the cost-effectiveness might not live up to expectations, and the actual standard could be quite different.

**Service:** I didn't give five stars for service. The hotel's front desk offers Chinese service, and the Chinese staff are especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with no communication barriers. However, I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant staff, who I believe were Indian. Breakfast ends at 9:30 AM, and we thought we just needed to have our food by 9:30 AM and wouldn't get more. Instead, the server rudely told us to "Go Out!" in an impolite manner while we were still eating our paid breakfast. These four stars are solely for the excellent front desk service.

**Additional Notes:** If you have high standards for a hotel, want a hot spring experience, and wish to be close to Mount Fuji, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland and a few minutes from Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal, which is very convenient for returning to Tokyo or other places. The front desk service is fantastic; a big thank you to the Chinese lady at the front desk.

Quite far from the station but they have free shuttles from Kawaguchico station.
Clean, spacious, kind staffs.

Breakfast was good to experience Japanese breakfast.

Tatami floor and sleeping on it with very soft & thick blankets were good too

It Met my expectations. One of my Bucketlists!! Amazing view , waking up with Mt.Fuji as my default view, one of the Best trips in Japan. 👏🏻🏔️
