Atami, atami 1993-65, 413-0033 Atami, Prefektura Sidzuoka, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
There were very few Chinese guests, mostly Japanese families on vacation. We were probably among the rare Chinese guests at this hotel.
We chose the Horizon room type, which comes with two private onsen baths. They aren't huge, but they are impeccably clean.
Dining was at Ocean, about a 15-minute walk away. The upside is that it's perfect for a leisurely stroll back to your room after dinner to digest...
The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, and it's especially pleasant when the weather is nice. The hotel's location isn't very convenient, as it's quite a distance from Atami city center. If you're relying on public transport, you'll need to keep a close eye on the bus schedule. There are two bus stops about a ten-minute walk away. A major plus is the free shuttle service to Atami Station...
Even though I knew from my research that it was an older resort hotel, I still didn't expect there to be so many locals here 🤣. The hot tub on the 15th floor was packed like sardines, and while it was open-air, the view was just average, not as good as what you'd find in Izu. The hotel's biggest feature has to be its grand, concert hall-like restaurant. The two buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) offered...
I really loved the room and its environment, facing the sea, I could watch the sunrise every day. The facilities and hygiene conditions were pretty average. There are three public indoor and outdoor hot springs available for use. The hotel has two guest room buildings with a very long corridor in between. To get to the hot springs or dining, you need to switch between different elevators. When I first...
The hotel boasts unparalleled views. The complimentary meals were so lavish and satisfying – after two breakfasts and two dinners at the buffet, we genuinely felt we'd already sampled the best of Japanese cuisine and there was nothing left to discover when we finally went to Tokyo; the hotel truly had it all! Finally, I must highlight the hotel's incredible cliffside onsen. Since it's a traditional...
Everything was excellent – the food was delicious, and the hot springs were fantastic. I especially appreciated the early mobile check-in feature, which allowed me to get into my room half an hour sooner than usual.

I booked this hotel to watch the fireworks on the evening of the 26th. The price was double, and there were no ocean-view rooms left, only mountain-view rooms in the new building, which included breakfast and dinner for 4000 yen. It was still very expensive.
Check-in was on the second floor of the old building. The staff was very inefficient, and their English was extremely poor, making communication...
All good but i feel a bit uncomfortable during my stayed. The staff was working like no sincere and care about customer. As foreigners we had a problem about laundry, car parking and onsen. It was may be language barrier but they even don’t tried to help and left it like that.
This hotel is located right across from McDonald's at Atami Station, where you can catch their shuttle bus that runs every 40 minutes. While waiting for the bus, you can explore Nakamise-dori shopping street. The famous Atami pudding had a long line, but it was pretty good. If you're heading to Kinomiya Shrine, you can find the same pudding there without the wait. I was very happy with the sea-view...
The hotel's facilities are really great. I chose a huge tatami room all to myself, though people from my country might not be used to sleeping on tatami. The only downside to the room was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, but thankfully there's a door, and closing it helped a lot. Both the room and the restaurant face the sea and the harbor, so the view is absolutely unparalleled. As for the...
There is a free voucher for accessing the spa once.
Lovely hotel, I stayed for 2 nights and got 2 times free access to the Fuua Spa, the views are fantastic! And they got extensive options for breakfast too.

There aren't many people in Atami during winter, which is nice. The seaside hotel is pretty good. They have a shuttle bus service to and from the station, and it's not far from the beach or convenience stores. The hot spring bathhouse is huge, and the hotel even gave us complimentary drink vouchers. Recommended!
The sea view room was amazing! The room was spacious and very clean, and the shuttle service was super convenient. We visited so many places and watched the sunrise every day. Absolutely fantastic, we'll definitely be back to stay again! I've already recommended it to my friends.
On our second day in Atami, we switched to the Resorpia Hotel by the sea. Since we were coming from another onsen hotel, we took a taxi directly to the 1st floor. Guests can only access this hotel by walking down from the 9th floor on the hill.
The location is fantastic; we could see the ocean right from our room's balcony. The next morning, we could even watch the 'Tangerine Sea' sunrise 🌅 from bed...
Excellent, I really enjoyed it! The hotel's location is great, and the shuttle service is very efficient.
The dinner was a set menu, and the only edible thing was the side dishes, especially the pickled radishes. The dinner was extremely disappointing. As for the hot spring, there's only an indoor one, no outdoor facilities, and the space isn't very big either.
The room was quite spacious and well-equipped, clean and hygienic. The bed, towels, and bedding were all very good. The main highlight was the large room with beautiful views, and watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely fantastic. The hotel also has its own hot spring that you can enjoy anytime.

Pros:
- Huge rooms, loved the comfiness of the beds, tatami room was excellent and the view was lovely.
- They cater well to children and staff are very friendly towards children. It was nice to be able to relax knowing it wasn’t the worst thing in the world if our child made some noise.
Cons:
- Amenities lacking (iron only provided on request and it took so long to heat up and in the end was so weak...
A nice hotel to travel with family with child. Spacious room, plenty of amenities, good breakfast buffet. Perfect hospitality.
The room has a spectacular night view that allows us to watch the magnificent fireworks from the balcony in a private and quiet manner. It’s wonderful, and we wish to visit again!
We traveled as a family of three, with our daughter and 2-year-old grandson.
We enjoyed the hotel activities and the spacious rooms were relaxing!
We were excited about the treehouse.
We warmed up in the large public bath with an ocean view.
We were thrilled by the delicious breakfast!
There's so much to enjoy!
We stayed one night with the base price room with my mom. It was one of the most precious, relaxing and happiest time we could ever spend. All rooms are ocean view I think and you can enjoy both day and night time views. Hotel is basically for family especially one with babies and kids. We rent the tree house for 45 min and it also came with easy cooking activities. Amenities are nice. My mom liked...
I had to stay here for various reasons, but I regret coming. They may be aiming for a Western-style hot spring, but it's not suitable for adults or Westerners. The service is not balanced. For example, the room is spacious and has a big closet, but there are only two hangers (one for each person). The air conditioning doesn't work. Food, room, and onsen were great. Nothing fancy but excellent for the price.
This hotel in Atami Izuyama offers a wonderful ocean view. There's a beautiful lounge on the front floor, with a stunning view. Since check-in was at 2:30 PM, we arrived early and went to Izusan Shrine first (a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel, no need to climb the long stone steps). I came to Atami specifically for Fufu, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The hotel was fantastic!
First of all, the service was excellent. A friendly staff member picked us up at the Atami station and drove us to the hotel free of charge. Once at the hotel, the staff patiently explained the room and how to use the onsen (hot spring bath) on the balcony.
The room was huge, and the shower room could...
The service exceeded expectations, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Overall, it was a very good travel experience.
We had the Premiumn Luxury Twin Suite for 5 nights. Everything was just fine. The food, the suite, the onsen, the staff. We enjoyed three types of food for dinner. The breakfast was just ok, but the food for dinner was spectacular. It's quiet and relaxing.
It's been nine years since my last stay at Fufu Atami. I've stayed at Suishoen, Kaihoro, Fufu Kawaguchiko, Sekai-e, Fufu Hakone, and Fufu Nikko. I heard Atami had been renovated, so I decided to stay here. The room is more compact than before, but it seems more user-friendly. Dinner was the usual teppan. The sauce for dipping the grilled meat has been revamped. Previously, the sauce was too strong...
The hotel couldn't be better, the service was first class ~ there were Chinese service staff as well. All rooms have private baths, which are very comfortable.
The teppanyaki dinner was also excellent. Just remember to go to Atami Station for free pick-up. Although it is obviously closer to Kinomiya Station.
This is my third visit to Fufu Atami. I visited Ki no Ma no Tsuki again in March after November. Last time, I stayed in Yuzuki, so this time I booked Akatsuki. The room looked very spacious and was very comfortable. The construction noise in the main building was not too bothersome, and the sound of the river was soothing. There were no problems with the facilities. I arrived a little early for check...

Always amazed by this great hotel, and always willing to come back
A very unique hotel, full of musical vibes and a calming atmosphere.
Destination resort. Amazing views from the top of the hill. Beautiful and well tended garden and greenery on the property. The maitre’d of the restaurant runs it like a well oiled machine. Conprehensive wine list including highly rated Japanese reds. Service staff are attentive and bi/tri lingual. Michelin star level service. Chef is impeccable too.
Overall, a Great Japanese Hospitality with great expectations and comfort.
I chose to stay in this low-key hotel on the mountain in Atami City. Although I had to take a taxi to get in and out, I actually didn’t want to leave the hotel and my room after checking in. The scenery outside is very beautiful, there is a private onsen in the room, and the hotel services and facilities are impeccable. Service and staff are nice. Dinner was surprisingly good though a bit pretentious. The only downside for me is location since it’s impossible to walk up so be prepared to order a taxi to go up and down. Amazing views though.
Very friendly and helpful staff keep helping me with luggage up the stairs. Awesome onsen and sauna. A bit further up the hill but I like it quiet and peaceful
We had a great two-day stay at Atami Relax Resort Hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and supporting, also towards non-japanese speakers. We also booked the breakfast and dinner menu and it was a delight in terms of quality and quantity.
This hotel offers stunning hilltop views of the sea, especially beautiful at night. Make sure to take a taxi from the station, as there's a very steep hill to get there. The hotel service is excellent, and the place is clean and tidy. We booked a corner room with dual-aspect windows, and it even had a bathtub. The hotel has a fantastic view, delicious breakfast, and warm service, plus there's a small hot spring. It would be perfect if the room could consistently smell fresh.
I traveled to Atami with my son and loved this mountaintop resort. It's a short, narrow walk up the mountain road, but it was worth it. The staff was excellent, the Italian dinner was delicious and authentic, and the room was spacious with views of Atami Castle and Sagami Bay. The Japanese breakfast was highly recommended. Take the free shuttle bus directly from Yugawara Station. The room is a single without a bathtub or shower, but there are plenty of outlets and USB ports. However, there are only two hangers. The main building is a little old, but it is only for overnight...
I was surprised at how luxurious the food was for the price.
Thank you very much.
There are no bathing facilities in the room, it is a bit troublesome to go to the hot spring bath; the indoor hot spring is very small, it is recommended to go directly to the outdoor one; the breakfast buffet options are many, dinner is very rich.
I think it's a great place for couples to go. The fireworks were amazing. The bus ride costs about 1,600 yen per person.
Izuminoyu was very good. What's more, guests could use the baths for free the next day, and they even lent us towels. This is a very reasonable hotel, so I would like to use it again.
The room was clean and tidy,
the staff were very friendly,
the food was delicious and sumptuous,
and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with friends.
I stayed here with the intention of relaxing in my room,

The hotel's location is quite good, but Japanese hotels tend to be older. It's very clean and offers a sea view room.
Hotel is located by the sea and we can enjoy the sea view from our room. Its about 10mins walk away from Atami station and there are convenience store and restaurant nearby.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Atami JR Station, making it difficult to travel with large luggage. Arrived at night and had to climb a lot of stairs (with luggage!). The next morning, I discovered there was another path that didn't require climbing any stairs. The front desk staff didn't speak English, which made communication difficult.
Facilities: The facilities are quite old, and the lack of a full-length mirror in the room was inconvenient. However, since we chose to soak in the hot springs in the afternoon, it wasn't crowded, so the small outdoor pool was considered a private bath.
Cleanliness: Cleanliness was average. There were hairs in the bathroom tub. I couldn't tell if the quilt or mattress was airtight, and I woke up several...
Everyone was so kind and it was a wonderful hotel!
It was a little disappointing that there was no elevator and the changing room in the large bath was small and crowded...

Later, most people used translation software apps.
The hotel is very friendly and sells tickets for the MOA Art Museum.
Although I knew it was going uphill, I didn't expect to have to climb a steep slope and stairs for 15 minutes to get to the hotel. I was exhausted. It was an old-fashioned hot spring hotel. The staff were all smiles as we went there for their private rooftop bathhouses. However, because the hotel wasn't tall enough and there were taller buildings nearby, the bathhouses weren't very private. The curtains were practically transparent, and the bamboo blinds in other rooms were very low... It made me feel very unsafe while soaking in the hot springs
My husband and I stayed here on a trip (using a car).
We chose this hotel because the reviews had given high marks to the private baths and food, and it lived up to those reviews, with a great location and we were very satisfied!
There are many other places to stay, but we would definitely like to stay here again next time!
The accommodation price is still expensive.
The scenery was beautiful and I was able to relax in the hot springs!
After comparing many options, I chose this one. It's a downhill walk from Atami Station, about ten minutes. It's an older, traditional Japanese-style hotel. Breakfast and dinner are served in the room. There's a supermarket and drugstore nearby. The five private onsen on the rooftop are a real highlight.
The staff were all Asian, and their Japanese and English were a bit mixed, which was just average. The included breakfast and dinner were very average, though perhaps not as expensive, as the food was below average for Japan. The room was quite large, but the hotel was quite old. The only positive thing about it was the rooftop onsen; without it, it would have been a disaster.
