Atami, atami 1993-65, 413-0033 Atami, Prefektura Sidzuoka, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Our planned hotel in Izu was affected by a landslide during our trip, so we had to book this one at the last minute. What a fantastic surprise it turned out to be! We were extremely satisfied with every aspect
There were very few Chinese guests, mostly Japanese families on vacation. We were probably among the rare Chinese guests at this hotel. We chose the Horizon room type, which comes with two private onsen baths
They aren't huge, but they are impeccably clean. Dining was at Ocean, about a 15-minute walk away. The upside is that it's perfect for a leisurely stroll back to your room after dinner to digest your meal
The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, and it's especially pleasant when the weather is nice. The hotel's location isn't very convenient, as it's quite a distance from Atami city center
I really loved the room and its environment, facing the sea, I could watch the sunrise every day. The facilities and hygiene conditions were pretty average
To get to the hot springs or dining, you need to switch between different elevators. When I first checked in, I wasn't familiar with the layout and it was easy to get lost

However, the overall facilities, including the rooms, feel a bit dated. The exception is the large onsen and sauna complex in the basement, which I enjoyed the most
Shout out to staff Fukumara Imelda! Excellent service from her and she acceded to my request for a change in room (with a top up fee) and made the procedures real smooth! Worth a stay for families as the rooms with tatamis are huge
Hotel is near to Sun beach and a shopping district. It also provides shuttle bus service to the train station and is really convenient
Quiet room, breakfast and dinner very delicious, and dinner with generous alcoholic drinks. Really value for money, recommended.
The best hotel that I ever stayed! The meals are amazing, staffs are super friendly
If you're walking, it's closer to Kurumiya Station, about a 15-minute downhill walk that's not tiring. Perfect for a walk after visiting Kurumiya Shrine and the plum garden. You can easily walk to the hotel to check in

I drove myself, and the parking lot is on the hillside next to the hotel, requiring a few minutes' uphill walk. As for the environment, the hotel is generally quite old, and it seems most places there might be a bit aged
There aren't many people in Atami during winter, which is nice. The seaside hotel is pretty good. They have a shuttle bus service to and from the station, and it's not far from the beach or convenience stores
The hot spring bathhouse is huge, and the hotel even gave us complimentary drink vouchers
It's a bit of a shame there's no open-air onsen, so you can only enjoy the view through the window while bathing. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami Station, but you need to book it in advance
The main highlight was the large room with beautiful views, and watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely fantastic. The hotel also has its own hot spring that you can enjoy anytime
The location is great and with good view for sunrise, the room is big and with beds and futons and tables with teapot and cups. The bathroom is small and old. The hot spring is pretty good

Lovely hotel, I stayed for 2 nights and got 2 times free access to the Fuua Spa, the views are fantastic! And they got extensive options for breakfast too.
Towels and bath towels were provided, and the open-air, ocean-facing onsen was particularly impressive. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style. Dinner was decent, but there wasn't much to eat for breakfast
This hotel is located right across from McDonald's at Atami Station, where you can catch their shuttle bus that runs every 40 minutes. While waiting for the bus, you can explore Nakamise-dori shopping street
The staff was very inefficient, and their English was extremely poor, making communication very difficult. The room was relatively clean, and there was only enough space to open one large suitcase
All good but i feel a bit uncomfortable during my stayed. The staff was working like no sincere and care about customer. As foreigners we had a problem about laundry, car parking and onsen
We got a complimentary visit to the Fuua Onsen (which is open to the public, last entry at 9 PM). The hotel's own onsen is in the Tower Building

Atami, 2-13-1 Minaguchicho 🧭 Map
- If non Japanese speaking, don’t bother with some activities (fair since we’re in Japan, but they do get a lot of international guests so I don’t understand how they haven’t made it even just a bit more international friendly by now) - Need to pay extra ~6000 yen to use the extra futons in the room
- Agree with a previous reviewer; no do not disturb signs provided so good luck if housekeeping rings the doorbell and your child is napping! For a kids geared hotel you’d think they’d have this sorted?? For around $800+ a night, this was unfortunately a bit disappointing
Cons: - Amenities lacking (iron only provided on request and it took so long to heat up and in the end was so weak still could not iron denim). - Decent kid activities (though more geared for 4 and above)
Defeats the purpose of having a tatami room that can be closed off for child’s naps… - “Spa tax” of 150 yen pp per night regardless of whether you use the spa. - Buffet became repetitive after 2 days
Going into town is not easy if you don’t have a car; even then parking in town would presumably be a nightmare. Shuttle bus service is nice but too inflexible and books out
- Hanabi (kaiseki) restaurant was nice but way too expensive again, 120,000 yen pp. - Parking lot was very difficult to get into if they assign you one of the side parks

Food, room, and onsen were great. Nothing fancy but excellent for the price.
This hotel in Atami Izuyama offers a wonderful ocean view. There's a beautiful lounge on the front floor, with a stunning view
Since check-in was at 2:30 PM, we arrived early and went to Izusan Shrine first (a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel, no need to climb the long stone steps). We left our bags at the front desk and they put them in our room
The shower had strong water pressure, making it easy to rinse my hair after washing. Toner and other amenities were provided, and there was a water cooler in the sink area. We had dinner at a beautiful restaurant
There are two locks, and amenities like yukata, samue, and toothbrushes are available on the front floor. The bathroom in the room is spacious, and the toilet is a state-of-the-art model with an automatic lid
The large communal bath, which is alternated for men and women, is also spacious, with an open-air bath. The open-air bath offered a small ocean view

The room was huge, and the shower room could instantly transform into a sauna – so comfortable! Complimentary drinks and beer were provided in the room, and we could even go to the bar for free drinks in the afternoon
A friendly staff member picked us up at the Atami station and drove us to the hotel free of charge. Once at the hotel, the staff patiently explained the room and how to use the onsen (hot spring bath) on the balcony
We had the Premiumn Luxury Twin Suite for 5 nights. The food, the suite, the onsen, the staff. We enjoyed three types of food for dinner. The breakfast was just ok, but the food for dinner was spectacular
The hotel couldn't be better, the service was first class ~ there were Chinese service staff as well. All rooms have private baths, which are very comfortable. The teppanyaki dinner was also excellent
The service exceeded expectations, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Overall, it was a very good travel experience.
The hotel's dinner and breakfast were also excellent; we were incredibly full! The ingredients were plentiful and very fresh!

bar&lounge at 3:00-7:00pm, with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for free, very chill, and waiters warm hospitality and help with photos The dinner was delicious and beautiful, in addition to the stir-fried rock fish was too salty and a little unfortunate
I chose to stay in this low-key hotel on the mountain in Atami City. Although I had to take a taxi to get in and out, I actually didn’t want to leave the hotel and my room after checking in
The menu can be fine-tuned according to each guest’s taste requirements and will be signed off by the responsible waiter for confirmation! With such serious service, you will definitely be satisfied with breakfast and dinner! Three days and two nights accommodation, great value for money service and enjoyment!
Amazing views from the top of the hill. Beautiful and well tended garden and greenery on the property. The maitre’d of the restaurant runs it like a well oiled machine
You can go to the lounge to have a drink, eat snacks and watch the sunset before dinner! The hotel’s dinner serves Japanese food presented to guests in a French style
The scenery outside is very beautiful, there is a private onsen in the room, and the hotel services and facilities are impeccable

The meat was fatty and went great with wasabi! The sashimi was fresh and plump, and the other dishes were seasoned to go well with alcohol! For breakfast, the horse mackerel filleted fresh on the table was especially delicious
The hotel service is great and all the staff are very polite! However, most employees have limited English and need to use google translate for communication
In fact, I had come to this hotel in February 2018, when the service of this hotel has been very good, and the food is also very tasty most importantly the seafood is excellent 👍 to today in February 2025 I am in the jungle this renovated hotel feels better, and the staff is more enthusiastic, regardless We wanted to go to that place they carefully told us every location and shift time 👍👍👍 Most importantly...
It was great to be able to use all 11 baths and 3 saunas for private use! We were lucky that it was empty as we were staying for one night from Sunday
We were happy with their thoughtfulness! And the main reason we chose this inn was the private open-air bath, which was really great to be able to relax while looking at the sea without worrying about being seen by others! We had looked at other inns because we wanted to try an infinity bath once, but we chose this one, which has a wide variety of options and a unique charm that you can use the open...
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with "Congratulations" and were moved by the warm welcome! There was a room available and a cheap plan at the time of booking, so we booked a triple bed room, but they put a large bead cushion on the third bed, so we rolled around on that bed except when we were sleeping

The room is facing the fireworks field, which is very beautiful. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and many restaurants nearby. It is about 5 minutes by taxi from Kinomiya Station, which is convenient.
Tamai Hotel is close to Atami Station. The building itself is old, but I stayed in a standard tatami room. The highlight of my stay was being able to enjoy the spectacular view from the room
It's also great for families with children. 👍 Atami Waterside Park is nearby, and beyond that is Atami Port. The proximity to the ocean creates an open, expansive view, making it a very attractive location
Right on the beach, the hotel room overlooks the cruise terminal. We booked a traditional tatami room, and dinner and breakfast were served directly to our room. The hotel is a bit old, but the value is decent.
The food was very delicious and the wine went down well. The staff were kind and responded quickly and politely when we asked for something. The facilities are old, but the tatami mats in the room were clean
You can see the vast ocean from the window of the room. It's fun to watch the ships coming in and out. The water park is right in front of the hotel, so we went for a walk by the sea at night

Great stay with excellent service and really near to Atami Station and the famous pudding shop. Millions of thanks to staff who couriered the charging wires, adaptor and necklace we accidentally left in there 😄😄😄
You can enjoy a decent view of Sagami Bay just by drawing the curtains. It wasn't crowded, so I practically had the hot springs all to myself
Loved this hotel. The staff are fantastic, the location is great, the room was large with a great view, and it has an onsen downstairs.
staff very good service & friendly, location easy to find & just few steps away from amentities. nice view from room as well
Location really good, staffs are so nice, just one point want them to improve is “hope they can reply e-mail” 😉
On the day we change the room the man charge us again the tax eventhough i already explained and ask him to doublechecked. On the last day we asked again and show them the receipt so they gave us back the tax money

The English at the front desk was about the same as the Japanese I learned for half a year. The view of the open-air private bath I booked was very average. The price was really not worth it
Everyone was so kind and it was a wonderful hotel! It was a little disappointing that there was no elevator and the changing room in the large bath was small and crowded...
It's a bit far from the station and it's hard to get a taxi from the hotel. The staff's English communication is average Later, most people used translation software apps
Although I knew it was going uphill, I didn't expect to have to climb a steep slope and stairs for 15 minutes to get to the hotel
The hotel is very friendly and sells tickets for the MOA Art Museum

Food and drinks were all amazing really incorporated the trule local cuisine into such sophisticated meals! The chef did an amazing job! And the onsens were amazing so well maintained, very good experience in the public and private onsen...
The first shuttle bus is at 3 pm, and the bus will stop in front of the station at 2:50 and depart on time at 3 pm. The hotel is located on the seaside and you can see the sunrise in the morning
There is a family hot spring bath on the 8th floor where you can take a bath independently. The set meal we had felt a little different from that of the locals and not as good as theirs
It is a relatively local hot spring hotel. There are not many Chinese people, and many local old men and women travel together. There is a free shuttle bus at Atami Station
After you find the bus, the staff will check your name and you can get on the bus. There is no need to make an appointment with the hotel in advance

During my time there, the young women from the reception to those who didn't leave the room were happy to serve customers with a sweet smile. Definitely recommended if you're lost in Atami
It was an old-fashioned hot spring hotel. The staff were all smiles as we went there for their private rooftop bathhouses
However, because the hotel wasn't tall enough and there were taller buildings nearby, the bathhouses weren't very private. The curtains were practically transparent, and the bamboo blinds in other rooms were very low
We chose this hotel because the reviews had given high marks to the private baths and food, and it lived up to those reviews, with a great location and we were very satisfied! There are many other places to stay, but we would definitely like to stay here again next time!
After comparing many options, I chose this one. It's a downhill walk from Atami Station, about ten minutes. It's an older, traditional Japanese-style hotel. Breakfast and dinner are served in the room
There's a supermarket and drugstore nearby. The five private onsen on the rooftop are a real highlight

Private Open-Air Bath: There's a fully private open-air bath available for 3,000 yen for 45 minutes. There are two types of rooms, and you can request a different one if you prefer
The location is near to the beach . There a bus stop in front of the hotel which go to Atami Station . Good breakfast spread, helpful and friendly staffs. Will stay again if we come back Atami again.
The breakfast spread was fantastic, with nearly thirty different options, and there's a coffee machine in the lobby. My only minor gripe is that the hot spring pool felt a bit basic
The room is pretty big and tidy, feeling comfortable in it. Walk for 2-3mins to 7-11 or Lawson. Public onsen provides inside and outside experience
Nice hotel with indoor and outdoor onsens. Tatami seating area facing window with seaview. Big makeup area with separate toilet and shower room.
Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a pure ocean-view room on the eighth floor; I imagine the higher up you go, the better the view gets

I chose this place to spend the end of the year in a rich and relaxing way. The room and location were great! I could see the ocean from my bed and really enjoyed watching the light change from the afternoon to sunset
The food was also delicious, including the spiny lobster and other sashimi, and I was happy that they cooked rice in a rice cooker at the table both in the evening and in the morning
It was also my first time trying tofu made from soy milk at the table in the morning, and it was a very satisfying breakfast. I would definitely like to go again
It was a wonderful location and I left feeling refreshed. The food was also delicious. The breakfast was especially great. I'd love to visit again.

Very friendly and helpful staff keep helping me with luggage up the stairs. Awesome onsen and sauna. A bit further up the hill but I like it quiet and peaceful
The hotel service is excellent, and the place is clean and tidy. We booked a corner room with dual-aspect windows, and it even had a bathtub. Enjoying a drink on the balcony while admiring the night view was a highlight
The staff was excellent, the Italian dinner was delicious and authentic, and the room was spacious with views of Atami Castle and Sagami Bay. The Japanese breakfast was highly recommended
It was really worth the trip up the mountain. The rooms were really good and spacious. The view was very beautiful over the sea. The restaurant is a whole chapter in itself. The staff was super nice and helpful
This hotel offers stunning hilltop views of the sea, especially beautiful at night. Make sure to take a taxi from the station, as there's a very steep hill to get there

On the night of the fireworks festival, the hotel arranges for guests to watch from the building's rooftop; there are announcements, staff guidance, and live commentary, creating a wonderful atmosphere
Location was near train station & walking distance to the shopping districts n F&B places. Room was spacious n comes with an ocean view. Excellent breakfast variety n taste

The room is very big and spacious. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. The environment and service are excellent. The only problem is that the hot spring is too small with only one pool!
