However, the overall facilities, including the rooms, feel a bit dated. The exception is the large onsen and sauna complex in the basement, which I enjoyed the most.

There aren't many people in Atami during winter, which is nice. The seaside hotel is pretty good. They have a shuttle bus service to and from the station, and it's not far from the beach or convenience stores. Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a pure ocean-view room on the eighth floor; I imagine the higher up you go, the better the view gets. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with nearly thirty different options, and there's a coffee machine in the lobby. My only minor gripe is that the hot spring pool felt a bit basic. If I ever visit Atami again, I'd definitely stay here.

I traveled to Atami with my son and loved this mountaintop resort. It's a short, narrow walk up the mountain road, but it was worth it. The Japanese-style room was very clean and nice. There was no TV in the room, but there was one in the multipurpose hall, so it wasn't a problem.
