The hotel offers an excellent selection of food for both dinner and breakfast. The dining area is spacious and can comfortably accommodate many guests. However, the overall facilities, including the rooms, feel a bit dated. The exception is the large onsen and sauna complex in the basement, which I enjoyed the most.

There aren't many people in Atami during winter, which is nice. The seaside hotel is pretty good. They have a shuttle bus service to and from the station, and it's not far from the beach or convenience stores. Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a pure ocean-view room on the eighth floor; I imagine the higher up you go, the better the view gets. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with nearly thirty different options, and there's a coffee machine in the lobby. My only minor gripe is that the hot spring pool felt a bit basic. If I ever visit Atami again, I'd definitely stay here.

The rice served in the morning and evening was very soft and had a high moisture content, so if you like your food firmer, I recommend curry or fried rice. It seemed like there weren't many main dishes for breakfast.

After comparing many options, I chose this one. It's a downhill walk from Atami Station, about ten minutes. It's an older, traditional Japanese-style hotel. Breakfast and dinner are served in the room. There's a supermarket and drugstore nearby. The five private onsen on the rooftop are a real highlight.

The staff were all Asian, and their Japanese and English were a bit mixed, which was just average. The included breakfast and dinner were very average, though perhaps not as expensive, as the food was below average for Japan. The room was quite large, but the hotel was quite old. The only positive thing about it was the rooftop onsen; without it, it would have been a disaster.

The best thing about this hotel is the great ocean view from the rooms, as it faces Atami Port. The low price and in-room dining are also good points if that's what you want. I traveled to Atami with my son and loved this mountaintop resort. It's a short, narrow walk up the mountain road, but it was worth it. The Japanese-style room was very clean and nice. There was no TV in the room, but there was one in the multipurpose hall, so it wasn't a problem. There were no children around, so I was able to relax. The hot spring was just the right temperature, and although it was a small bath, there were no other guests, so I was able to relax.

The clean facilities include a kitchen, microwave, cutlery, and cups in the rooms. There's even a drum-type washing machine with detergent and a drying rack for drying your clothes.
