Atami Korakuen Hotel in Atami

I booked this hotel to watch the fireworks on the evening of the 26th. The price was double, and there were no ocean-view rooms left, only mountain-view rooms in the new building, which included breakfast and dinner for 4000 yen. It was still very expensive.

Check-in was on the second floor of the old building. The staff was very inefficient, and their English was extremely poor, making communication very difficult.

The room was relatively clean, and there was only enough space to open one large suitcase. We got a complimentary visit to the Fuua Onsen (which is open to the public, last entry at 9 PM). The hotel's own onsen is in the Tower Building. Towels and bath towels were provided, and the open-air, ocean-facing onsen was particularly impressive.

Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style. Dinner was decent, but there wasn't much to eat for breakfast. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Atami Station every 40 minutes.

All good but i feel a bit uncomfortable during my stayed. The staff was working like no sincere and care about customer. As foreigners we had a problem about laundry, car parking and onsen. It was may be language barrier but they even don’t tried to help and left it like that.

This hotel is located right across from McDonald's at Atami Station, where you can catch their shuttle bus that runs every 40 minutes. While waiting for the bus, you can explore Nakamise-dori shopping street. The famous Atami pudding had a long line, but it was pretty good. If you're heading to Kinomiya Shrine, you can find the same pudding there without the wait. I was very happy with the sea-view room that had an open-air balcony. You can only use the Fuua Onsen once per person with your room key/passport, but the public bath is also great. Breakfast and dinner were a bit disappointing; despite the grand presentation, there wasn't much to eat, and the sashimi wasn't very fresh – on par with a 49.9RMB buffet in China.

The hotel's facilities are really great. I chose a huge tatami room all to myself, though people from my country might not be used to sleeping on tatami. The only downside to the room was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, but thankfully there's a door, and closing it helped a lot. Both the room and the restaurant face the sea and the harbor, so the view is absolutely unparalleled. As for the location, it's a bit on the outskirts with no commercial areas nearby; it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach dining and shopping spots. All hotel guests receive a complimentary hot spring ticket. Their hot spring also faces the sea. The infinity hot spring pool is definitely the biggest highlight! The entire hot spring area is very modern and beautifully designed. However, it's spread across 7 floors, and you have to undress upstairs and downstairs, with shoe storage and showering not in the same area, which makes the process a bit confusing and overwhelming.

There is a free voucher for accessing the spa once.

Lovely hotel, I stayed for 2 nights and got 2 times free access to the Fuua Spa, the views are fantastic! And they got extensive options for breakfast too.

Beautiful view and onsen! Highly recommend to spend holiday for relaxation.

The hotel's location is excellent, making transportation very convenient. We could even watch the fireworks display from our room, and the food was satisfying!

The room was spacious with a fantastic sea view. The breakfast leaned more towards a Japanese style. The only slight drawback was the hotel's location, which was a bit out of the way, requiring a 15-minute walk to reach the commercial area and the beach. However, the hotel's ground floor had a large convenience store and souvenir shop, both well-stocked, which somewhat made up for the slightly inconvenient location.
