Sento Ryokan in Toyooka

The pick-up and drop-off service was a lifesaver! It looked like it was going to rain...

Excellent service, absolutely top notch. The springs are wonderful and very warm, the food is traditional and beautifully presented. The linens are clean and smell delicious, the room is spacious, I will definitely return again!!!!

An old-school traditional onsen ryokan. Right after getting off the JR Kinosaki Onsen station, staff were already asking which hotel we were staying at, and there was a free shuttle to take us there, which was a nice touch. The only drawback is that the hotel's sign actually says 'Izumi-do', which is different from what's listed on Trip.com. The hotel provides a public onsen pass, which is super convenient for visiting any of the six public onsens in town. One of them, Goshono-yu, is right across the street. So, every day after soaking, I'd just head back to the hotel and sleep – very convenient. It's also very close to the ropeway station, about a 5-minute walk. The meals included were also quite good.

This is an old Japanese-style ryokan, and the staff are all very friendly. The room is quite spacious, so you don't have to worry about not being able to open your luggage. They have their own Onsen hot spring and also provided a pass that allowed access to all five hot springs of Kinosaki Onsen. Dinner and Breakfast food are acceptable but not great! There was a shuttle bus in front of the train station. You can tell the driver that your hotel name and they will drop you in front of the hotel. The hotel also provides the free drop-off at the train station after check out.

It was unusual to have the toilet, shower, and washbasin in three separate rooms. The toilet and shower are next to each other, but the washbasin is on the balcony. So, that's traditional Japan.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were all incredibly friendly, kind, and full of empathy.

I had a wonderful stay at this Onsen hotel! The service was exceptional, with staff being attentive and friendly throughout my visit. The location is excellent which isvery convenient for exploring the area, as Goshonoyu is nearby, and you can walk to other Onsens within 5 minutes. Additionally, the Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway is just a 5-minute walk away, offering a stunning view from the mountain. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Kinosaki Onsen!
