I love *, so I think it's great that the breakfast buffet includes *(hot springs*), and I'm also happy that it's close to the station.
The room was very noisy, I was tired and slept well at night, so I skipped breakfast. Next time I come, I will eat breakfast without skipping it. Dinner is not bad. I was given yaki onigiri or cup noodles, which made me feel full and I fell asleep. I am not hungry at night anymore.
The hotel's free parking is about 30 meters from the hotel.Easy to find.
I stayed here the night before a golf trip. It was short notice, but I was glad I was able to make a reservation. They also provided late-night snacks, which was very reasonable. The large public bath was also clean.
I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days on a business trip. All the staff I met were cheerful and polite. I was grateful for the cup udon noodles for dinner. I was able to stretch my legs and relax in the large public bath. However, it feels more like a small bath that can fit about 6 people than a large public bath. As for the room, I stayed in a single room, but if you imagine a room in an old business...
The facility description didn't mention a large public bath, but I was glad that there was one.

We had an amazing stay! Will definitely book again in the future.
Room is huge for Japanese standard , of course we paid a lot for it. It may have looked good 10 years ago but it is only ok in today’s standard . Bad thing - NO VIEW ! our room with a Huge balcony faced a car park , I guess that’s why they sell this room to Non-Members . Thus the Balcony serve no purpose bcos there’s no view . Parking is easy , including access to basement parking . The public...
I didn't get the service I expected. The room was spacious and the amenities were good, but the customer service was a bit off. I felt like they prioritized employees over the customer experience.
While relaxing in the open-air bath in your room, look at the river flowing right next to you, close your eyes and listen to the sound of the flow. Heavenly paradise.
Ordered in a hurry the day before. Many hotels in Hakone, such as Kanaya and Hiramatsu, have been visited, but this hotel has a very good mood, because the baths are from two sources, the rooms are kept clean, and there are many children with children. excellent attitude towards food, the fact that the food, mainly consisting of fish, is not cost-effective, and the sound of the water and the night...

The experience was above and beyond expectation. The room and onsen were phenomenal ways to wind down after all of our sightseeing and exploration. My wife is vegetarian and they made special accommodations to fit both her diet and my own while very patiently explaining each part of our meals to use and direction on how to best enjoy them. If we're ever back in Hakone, this is where we will be staying...
This place was nice for the money and the big selling point was the breakfast dinner plan that is worth getting
Overall is good, but food wise can be improved
The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. There's a hot spring for bathing, and it includes a one-night stay with two meals. The food selection was extensive and very rich. Overall, it's excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

The service here is incredibly thoughtful. You can communicate directly if you have any needs, and Mr. Zhang at the reception was meticulously attentive to all our requirements. There's also a laundry service. Most importantly, if you're driving, Hakone can be quite challenging with its narrow roads, so be careful!
The location is a bit secluded.  The staff keep a clean environment.  The service here is excellent.  The facilities are good, however besides onsen and food, there isn't much else to do.  The uncharges are a bit steep
Try it to experience the service and facility.
The service was excellent, professional, and very attentive. The in-room amenities were premium and had a luxurious feel. The towels and hot spring attire were made from high-quality material and felt wonderful. It's an excellent choice for a hot spring inn.
Italian restaurant is so good! Food and View are good! Definitely will back again

I totally recommend it. Just be aware that the onsens are naked and they separate females and males. I recommend to book for a private onsen and you can be with your partner
I opted for a two-meal option and would recommend this place to everyone; I think it's quite good value for money. However, there's no shower in the room, so you have to go to the public bathhouse to shower, and then you can soak in the hot spring. If you don't like soaking in the hot spring with a group, they have private bathhouses available for booking at 3500 yen per hour. I recommend them to everyone
The food was great and the open-air bath was the best. I will visit again. It was near the lake so the atmosphere was good and it was a quiet place so I could rest quietly.
A very local hot spring hotel. Although the facilities are old, it is cost-effective.
The hotel service is first-class, the room is large enough, clean and hygienic. It is close to the bus station and Taoyuandai Station. The dinner is also very rich. I enjoy soaking in the hot spring. The only drawback is that there is no shower room in the room. I have to go to the large bath every time.

The number of guests was limited, so we were able to stay in a quiet and peaceful environment. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and we were very satisfied with the private hot spring.
Middle of nowhere Friendly crew, trying their very best to speak english Surprise dinner! Lots of choices for drinks, kind of French overall with Japanese twist :) Lamb is outstanding I just had small difficulty finding the caviar on my fish Desserts are about right, and the chocolate 🍫 😋
From start to finish our stay was exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and the onsen overlooking the mountains was lovely. The dining was fantastic with such artfully displayed dishes. Highly recommend!
Best Hotel in Japan so far! The staff provided exceptional service: attentive, personalized, and delivered with genuine warmth. This hotel is nestled in the mountains, and the service was decent. The facilities inside the hotel were all quite clean. Overall, it was good.
This hotel is great for seniors; the hot springs are nice, and while the facilities are a bit old, they're clean. Environment: There aren't many other hotels nearby. Hygiene: It's good; the cleaning staff does a good job.
A very good stay overall. Rooms were a bit dusty and mould on the bathroom ceiling. However staff were excellent and looked after us all the way.
The hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. It also offered flexible pickups and drop-offs at several attractions. After returning to the hotel, a soak in the hot spring was the perfect way to unwind and wash away the day's fatigue.
Spacious room and nice services. The breakfast has a great variety of choices. Hot spring is nice.

Not bad, pretty good overall, just the food felt a little perfunctory. The outdoor hot springs are great, and transportation is convenient with a bus stop just a short walk away.
Staying for one night with two meals for 2700 yen offered excellent value for money. The open-air bath on the balcony is not a hot spring; it's just hot water. There's one public hot spring and three private hot springs in the garden, which are the real deal. The food was quite mediocre, and the location was inconvenient, but the service was very good.
Coming to Hakone in winter, hot springs are a must! My top choice is definitely a room with a private onsen, perfect for a peaceful moment for two. Wonderful staff and accommodation.
This is a Premium high $$$ stay, you will feel very fancy here. The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge) The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)
Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Amazing staff with unparalleled Japanese service, super clean, fantastic onsen. FREE ALCOHOL, best breakfast ever. No words to say how much we enjoyed our stay.
Overall, I good experience however there are some strange rules. For example, you cannot enter the hotel for several hours before your check-in at 6pm because they’re cleaning. The hotel has a beautiful environment, especially the Japanese garden 🏡 which is incredibly picturesque. Even though it's winter, the plum blossoms and cherry blossoms 🌸 in the courtyard are already in bloom, making for a pleasant stroll. There are also many cultural relics. The guest rooms are a bit dated, and the facilities are just average.
The hotel's location is excellent. The bus to Owakudani leaves right in front of the hotel. However, there was no snow, so the outdoor views from the hotel weren't particularly appealing, just mountains and bare branches. Since we didn't opt for a meal, the two futons were already laid out for us quite early.
We stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed. We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. My wife loved the gardens. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved...
The lady at the front desk spoke incredibly fast, regardless of whether you understood her or not. She quickly scribbled on a piece of paper, rapidly fulfilling her duty to inform, clearly a very indifferent person. It was okay, and very clean. Walking into the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. Although it's an old hotel with a vintage interior, it has a charming feel, almost like stepping back into the Japanese dramas I watched as a kid. Despite its age, it's very well-maintained and clean, which made it comfortable. Everything else was pretty standard. The location was convenient.
This was my second stay at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel, and it's always the hotel with the best environment and largest rooms during my two-week trips to Japan. The room has a tatami area, which is perfect for relaxing and chatting. Waking up in the morning and standing on the balcony, you're greeted by lush greenery and the sound of a gurgling stream – it's an absolute treat for both body and mind. The bathroom...
The hotel's location is excellent. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, you take the elevator down to ground level, cross the bridge, and the hotel is a short walk on your right, up another elevator. If you want a private onsen, you'll need to book it separately for 2000 yen per person. We booked a standard double room; the facilities aren't brand new but are clean, and the room itself is larger than what you...
The hotel location is great and just next to Hakone Yumoto Station. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and includes lots of varieties. You could also reserve the private bath and the cost is reasonable. We took the French Restaurant for dinner which is amazing good.
This was the best hotel I stayed at during my Chinese New Year trip to Japan, though it was also the most expensive. The hotel is right by the Hakone-Yumoto station exit, just across the little red bridge, which is incredibly convenient for families with luggage or young children. The hotel itself is comparable to a 4- to 5-star hotel in China. Both the service and facilities were excellent. They...
During our recent stay at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel, we found the location to be very convenient, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings of Hakone. The room we stayed in was clean and well-maintained, which contributed positively to our overall comfort. While most of the staff were generally polite, we felt that there was room for improvement in terms of warmth and friendliness, particularly...

This was the most comfortable two-day stay we've had in Japan. Our room was spacious and relaxing, and having a private hot spring right in the garden made the experience truly special. The meals were exceptional - delicious, beautifully prepared, and generously served. We're especially grateful to the okami who took care of us. Even though we don't speak Japanese, she communicated with patience and...
Great experience. As a foreign, I appreciated all the extra effort to understand each other. We got a room with a private onsen and it was wonderful. The food was also very good, we ended up very filled. The service to be picked up at the station was very convenient.
Wonderful stay. Facilities are lovely, staff is kind and attentive and the food was nice. Great way to usher in the fall.
Really enjoyed our stay there. We booked the executive suite for the full authentic experience with our own onsen. The dinner was a multi course meal, served in our room and the breakfast was a Kaiseki also served in our room. The food was very delicious and the presentation was amazing. Our favourite memory of Japan, and we had a lot of amazing memories of this place in our two week visit. It is definitely...
A stately inn built in the quiet area of Oku Yugawara. Good hospitality for a beautiful view. This is the best. There are some things that I am curious about, but the rating remains the same.
Great place, nice staff, amazing rooms. Love it!

This is one of my favorite accommodations. While the view from the room might not be spectacular, the food, rooms, and service were excellent. The place isn't very big, so it's very quiet and private. The onsen room is large and clean. Overall, I was very impressed.
The facilities, view, atmosphere, and hot spring were all very nice. The staff were all friendly.
It was good that the large communal bath was rented out slowly because of the corona. The rice was also delicious. It was a rich trip, but it was a wonderful trip.
Good thing the big communal bathhouse was slow to open because of corona. The rice was delicious too. The trip was intense but wonderful.
Great service and clean rooms. Great place for a quick get away onsen trip.
Overall good but the food could be better especially the dessert.

We stayed at Kaneyamaen and had a wonderful experience. Our room came with a private open-air bath, which made the stay even more special. Pros: 1) The hotel staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. There were evening activities such as a taiko drum performance and a bingo game, which added a fun and lively atmosphere. Although some staff members were not fluent in English, they quickly...
yummy dinner & breakfast!! goo service~
Nice Hotel.Good service and good view .
The staff who greeted us escorted us to our room and even observed our body types to provide the right size yukata. Every service member was smiling, and when we left, they saw us off at the door, waving until our car was out of sight, which was very touching. The Japanese aesthetic was evident everywhere.
The first night's dinner was very lavish, but the second night's was a bit underwhelming. The courtyard view is beautiful; you could easily spend half a day exploring it. Although it's an older hotel, the cleanliness and environment are excellent. The service is also on point. The hotel has shops, restaurants, a coffee shop, afternoon tea, an observation deck, and hot springs – all very comfortable
We are a group of four ladies who stayed in Suite 841, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Kaneyamaen. The breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from our room was truly unforgettable. The entire environment is serene and calming, and we felt warmly welcomed at every corner of the hotel. Everything is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kaneyamaen to...

Always amazed by this great hotel, and always willing to come back
A very unique hotel, full of musical vibes and a calming atmosphere.
Destination resort. Amazing views from the top of the hill. Beautiful and well tended garden and greenery on the property. The maitre’d of the restaurant runs it like a well oiled machine. Conprehensive wine list including highly rated Japanese reds. Service staff are attentive and bi/tri lingual. Michelin star level service. Chef is impeccable too.
Overall, a Great Japanese Hospitality with great expectations and comfort.
I chose to stay in this low-key hotel on the mountain in Atami City. Although I had to take a taxi to get in and out, I actually didn’t want to leave the hotel and my room after checking in. The scenery outside is very beautiful, there is a private onsen in the room, and the hotel services and facilities are impeccable. You can go to the lounge to have a drink, eat snacks and watch the sunset before...

Food, room, and onsen were great. Nothing fancy but excellent for the price.
This hotel in Atami Izuyama offers a wonderful ocean view. There's a beautiful lounge on the front floor, with a stunning view. Since check-in was at 2:30 PM, we arrived early and went to Izusan Shrine first (a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel, no need to climb the long stone steps). We left our bags at the front desk and they put them in our room. Our Japanese-style room on the 7th floor offers an ocean...

Staff were so accommodating and very welcoming! We only speak some Japanese and they obly speak a little english but the experience and service were all exceptional! Food and drinks were all amazing really incorporated the trule local cuisine into such sophisticated meals! The chef did an amazing job! A unique hot spring resort hotel with butler service, exquisite meals and patient and gentle butlers.
Fantastic hotel. Very helpful staff. Thank you
Excellent stay. Three private onsens are the highlights of the hotel. Very spacious and cozy room with a wonderful sea view.
It is a relatively local hot spring hotel. There are not many Chinese people, and many local old men and women travel together. There is a free shuttle bus at Atami Station. The hotel name is on the bus. After you find the bus, the staff will check your name and you can get on the bus. There is no need to make an appointment with the hotel in advance. The first shuttle bus is at 3 pm, and the bus will...
Except for the location which is far away, everything is good and worth the price. The family private soup upstairs is great. I am a little bit uncomfortable with the kaiseki cuisine, but the service is very good. There is a bus to the station every morning.

I came to Atami specifically for Fufu, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The hotel was fantastic! First of all, the service was excellent. A friendly staff member picked us up at the Atami station and drove us to the hotel free of charge. Once at the hotel, the staff patiently explained the room and how to use the onsen (hot spring bath) on the balcony. The room was huge, and the shower room could...
The service exceeded expectations, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Overall, it was a very good travel experience.
We had the Premiumn Luxury Twin Suite for 5 nights. Everything was just fine. The food, the suite, the onsen, the staff. We enjoyed three types of food for dinner. The breakfast was just ok, but the food for dinner was spectacular. It's quiet and relaxing.
It's been nine years since my last stay at Fufu Atami. I've stayed at Suishoen, Kaihoro, Fufu Kawaguchiko, Sekai-e, Fufu Hakone, and Fufu Nikko. I heard Atami had been renovated, so I decided to stay here. The room is more compact than before, but it seems more user-friendly. Dinner was the usual teppan. The sauce for dipping the grilled meat has been revamped. Previously, the sauce was too strong...
The hotel couldn't be better, the service was first class ~ there were Chinese service staff as well. All rooms have private baths, which are very comfortable. The teppanyaki dinner was also excellent. Just remember to go to Atami Station for free pick-up. Although it is obviously closer to Kinomiya Station.
This is my third visit to Fufu Atami. I visited Ki no Ma no Tsuki again in March after November. Last time, I stayed in Yuzuki, so this time I booked Akatsuki. The room looked very spacious and was very comfortable. The construction noise in the main building was not too bothersome, and the sound of the river was soothing. There were no problems with the facilities. I arrived a little early for check...

A little vintage, and lacking a few amenities perhaps but the onsen is great, the staff friendly and its a minute walk to the beach. Corona season made it feel like a ghost hotel, but we had the onsen to ourselves so that was nice.
Very nice! Onsen and Room Ryokan! Walking distance to main road.
Exquisite ryokan with communal same-sex hot bath indoor/outdoor and sauna. A bit far from the station if you arrive by train and have baggage to carry, perfect otherwise.
Beautiful, aromatherapy umbrella pine onsen baths paired with exquisite dining - the best seasonal, fresh and local ingredients, made for a world class experience.

Best hospitality experience I've ever had in my life. Rooms were traditional style, extremely well kept. Food was amazing.
Partial ocean view from the room. Food service was wounderful but the food itself was why we are going three stars, for the price it should be fantastic.
I can’t say enough good things about my stay at Furuya Ryokan. I originally booked the hotel because of its location and the fact that the room included a private onsen— I didn’t fully understand what a ryokan experience entailed at the time. But from the moment I arrived, the staff (especially my host Reina) made me feel completely welcome. Reina personally showed me around the room, explained how...
Excellent service and food Staff are friendly and nice. Food qualiry is good and in-room dining experience is fantastic. Will definitely visit again for sure!
Room was luxurious, and service was amazing! They really pay attention to the details. Examples include providing us with an English newspaper in the morning instead of a Japanese newspaper, having detailed multilingual explanations of the food, and magically whisking away our shoes when we arrive and magically making them reappear when we want to head out. Special shout-out for our room attendant...
The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The high quality meals and services, plus the attention to details is fit for a king. We do not speak japanese, so instead of bringing us the usual japanese newspaper, they brought the new york times. Things like this made the stay relaxing and enjoyable.
