Hotel Hagoromo in Shizuoka

After 11PM, all of enterance are closed. no one could enter or exit this hotel after 11PM. All of dishes they provide are variety kinds of only seafoods not meat. Indoor Onsens are nice but Outdoor Onsen not in Male's.

The staff are very friendly, and the location is perfect for visiting miho no matsubara; you may need to take a bus, then walk 15 minutes, but it’s a beautiful walk

We stayed for 3 nights in their Tsudumi room with a view of the rock garden between us and the back of the onsens. We enjoyed the impeccable service by their international staff. Ho-san, Jaisa-san, and Win-san were so warm and kind, their english helped us quite a bit throught the stay. The Ryokan was beautiful. I almost got lost in the hallways going to our meals but the staff were always magically there to help guide us. I was thrilled to be in a ryokan that had history. Okami-san was very pleasant, kind and helpful throughout our stay. The food was really great. We couldn't finish a few meals so we felt a bit bad for wasting food. Very tasty, just too much food for us. I was worried my caucasian husband wouldn't like the authentic Japanese food, but he loved it. The only thing I had to eat for him was the sea snail, which if you didn't know is a huge delicacy. One mouthful of a briny and slightly chewy treat, in case you wondered.

I think my only complaint (if at all) would be that, one of our double sinks had a leaky cold water faucet, when turned. We just ended up using the other sink. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The beautiful onsens were also very clean and well kept. On one of our walks around the area, we met the young man baking all the hotel's cookies, running the small coffee and croisant hut by himself on the rear side of the hotel, by the bus parking lot. You could probably see everything there within a day or two. The hotel is close to the Pine forest and the views of Fuji-san but is a bit far from the main shops and museums in Shisuoka. You would need to bus or taxi to get to those. We needed to get away from the hustle of city so it was perfect for us. Thank you Hotel Hagoromo for great memories! Nice experience all around.

Dinner was luxurious and delicious.
The foreign waitress gave us detailed explanations of the dishes.
Everything was delicious, but the sudachi sorbet to cleanse the palate was particularly good.

Breakfast was also plentiful and satisfying.

Lovely place right by Miho no Matsubara. The staff were lovely and the rooms were clean. Great experience for a ryokan. Also delicious food! Would stay again if ever back in the area.

This place is awesome.

We had a wonderful stay, although the location was a bit challenging to find and quite far from the city. Right outside our room was a beautiful blossom tree, adding to the charm of our experience. It would have been helpful if the communication regarding dinner reservations was clearer, as we weren’t aware we needed to book in advance. Fortunately, the staff recommended a lovely restaurant within walking distance that was still open, and we really enjoyed our meal there.

Great service and seafood. Also it's very close walking distance to 神之道 and 三保松原。Highly recommended!

A traditional Japanese inn that welcomes solo travelers. The breakfast and dinner are very rich. I didn't feel uncomfortable eating them. The portions are large. It's close to Miho-no-Matsubara and only a five-minute walk to the beach. The coastline here is very stunning and you can see Mount Fuji. Although the clerk is also a foreigner, the service is excellent. The hotel has a historical background and is not as old as imagined. The amenities are of high quality. It's a pity that I don't know how to get into the garden. It seems that people outside are not allowed to enter, and there are no outdoor shoes left in the house. Then if you have two meals, there is basically no time to play around. You should come earlier. It is recommended to take a boat from the Shimizu Fish Market. The scenery along the way is good. The weather has been bad recently, and the snow on the top of Mount Fuji has melted, so the scenery is not so transparent. The disadvantage is that after all, it's time here. Some places are aging and there is dust in the corners. There is no 24-hour front desk. The minibar is charged and there is no free water. I will come again next time when I come to Shizuoka. The price is right.

Japanese tatami, the room is much bigger than expected, brunch is included, dinner is 11 courses and I am very full, you can take a hot spring bath, there are two indoor and outdoor ones. Make an appointment in advance for dinner and go on time, check-out time is 10 o'clock and cannot be postponed
