Kanazawa, KANAZAWA (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Honestly, I recommend it 1000%! The staff were incredibly kind. I had a lovely stay. The location is pretty good. It's not far from the train station and very close to Kanazawa Castle and other tourist attractions in the city. 👍
You can enter Kenrokuen Garden for free in the early morning! We stopped going out because of the rain 😭 The breakfast area was small but delicious! ️ In the end, it was a great experience!
The service staff were very friendly.
Close to Kanazawa's main attractions. Convenient and strategic.

We found the Machiya to be amazing. Coming from Tokyo, you will think you are in a mansion. The staff did a great job to help coordinate our stay and we would highly recommend staying here. The Machiya is a fantastic balance of modern and traditional. We love the tatami rooms as well as the western room. A perfect mix. The Machiya is a bit of a walk from the station but not bad, and you can get...
This is such a beautiful house! Nice, clean, with so many pretty details, comfortable. The small garden is beautiful, and the bathroom is just great! We had plenty of room - the house could offer beds for 8, and we were only four people. Everything worked, and there are really good instructions for the house and many information available about the city. Only downside is the price - it's really expensive...
everything was great! the heated floors and the two bathrooms especially.
Really neat hotel! If you want to experience living in a Japanese home with a rich history this is for you. Keep in mind though that this is a Japanese home and not a hotel so be sure to read the instructions provided by the staff on the table. I didn't do this and I couldn't figure out why there was no hot water. The 1st page of the book shows you how to turn on the hot water heater! After that...
Very relaxing stay. Clear explanation by english speacker staff.
A very pleasant stay at Ginnoma! The staff were extremely helpful and arranged all our dinner reservations during the New Year holiday period. The machiya is pretty, very well maintained and provisioned. Will come back in a heartbeat!

The hotel rooms are decent. It’s better if you can get a non smoking room though.
Travelled solo and room space was sufficient.
The following are the pros of this place:
Very close proximity to the station
The staff is very considerate and polite
You can ask them queries and they will try their best to respond even if it’s in English and you use a translator
The place served free coffee from 3pm to...
Breakfast was included and I had whatever I wanted.
Hotel that clearly needs renovation, although let's not forget that it is a 2 star. The rooms are dated, with their 80s-90s decor. However, very good situation, friendly and competent staff, and very good breakfast although not very varied.
Breakfast buffet is good, staff are friendly. But, the room we had is quite old, the toilet bowl is not cleaned properly, and sink has stains on it.
Very professional and warm staff, she actively offer us umbrellas since it was snowing. Room was big and nice, the breakfast is very rich. Btw they serve free cocoa and coffee, very kind!
We stayed here for one night. The location is fantasic as it's about 5 minutes walk from the Kanazawa Station. There are lots of restaurants in the area as well so no need to worry about meals. The hotel also offers a simple complimentary breakfast with a variety of breads, rice, natto, salad, scrambled eggs and sausages. It's an older building and the room was quite small. The AC blows hot air in...

I originally planned a five-night stay, but thanks to the kind and professional service from the hotel staff—especially their excellent English—I had a very pleasant experience.
Extending my stay by two more nights was handled smoothly and efficiently. The hotel is very clean, conveniently located near the city center of Kanazawa, and within walking distance of Kenrokuen Garden.
Overall, the service...
Elegant hotel with small equipped room. We enjoyed our breakfast;it had everything for a tasty and healthy breakfast with different varieties though not elaborate. And the chef/man there at the breakfast was friendly and helpful. Thanks.
It was a smooth checkin and out and our bags were kept for free for us after checkout till when we came back to collect them.

Good location near subway, room is tiny but a room with a good layout
It's about a 3-minute walk from the station, and there are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying things inside the station. There is a Family Mart within a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The front desk staff are all very kind, so I'd like to stay here again if I come to Kanazawa.
The room was clean, but the bath was smaller than expected, which was disappointing.
There were only six places to wash in the bath, and the bathtub was small.
It was a bit crowded (cry)
But it felt good.
The location is great.
Other than that, there is nothing excellent about it.
Oh, the front desk staff was kind.
It's close to the station and easy to find.
It's a convenient and reasonably priced hotel.
There are many restaurants around the station,
so it's a great location for those who want to eat near the hotel.
I was also impressed by the canned food vending machine in front of the main building 😊💓😊😊😊😊🤗

Nice old hotel near Kanazawa station.
The accommodation tax was listed as 350 yen online, but when I actually got there it was only 200 yen.
The price of this stay included a free breakfast buffet, although the selection was limited, which I was very satisfied with.
The room was also clean, and I would like to use this hotel again when I come to Kanazawa.
The shower had low water pressure and it was difficult to get the temperature up.
The location is excellent, close to the main metro station. However, it was very difficult to find the hotel building, as the photos of the hotel building and reception area on the booking website, maps, and the actual location were different. All important hotel information is only in Japanese, with no English translations. The water in the room runs very slowly. There's nowhere to heat up food, for...
Convenient transportation, the hotel is relatively old
The hotel is well located, close to the train station, which is a plus, as the city is not very big. But the room was dirty (long hair in the bathtub for example), very small (to the point that you can't move when you put your bag on the floor and I had hung the backpack on a hanger. In the evening, the cleaning had not been done even though the sign remained hanging all day! It would be a special...

My stay at this ryokan in Kanazawa was the highlight of my trip to Japan. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. Bungo-san and his mother are the most wonderful, kind-hearted hosts I have ever met.
The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, but what makes this place truly special is the family. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, offering thoughtful advice and genuine...
Bungo-san and his mother were both amazing hosts. I booked through Booking.com and Bungo reached out to me a few days before arrival to coordinate anything I needed, it's a beautiful old hotel which they take very good care of. There's a big dining room with microwave and fridge and then shared bath and shower facilities. I had a single room which had a little entry way (be sure to keep raincoats and...
A great authentic experience. The host was very helpful about tourist activities and came with a lot of wonderful recommendations. We cannot recommend this place enough. Don’t forget to try the private bath when you’re here!
Bungo-san and his mother are lovely hosts. The room was beautiful and their hospitality cannot be matched. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience I highly reccomend Ryokan Yamamuro. Thank you Bungo-san for everything you have done for us during our stay in Kanazawa.
Very neat and clean place. The host Bungo was patient and detailed, provided recommendations to sightseeing spots and even helped me to reserve a visit that needed pre booking. I like his thoughtful touch of bookmarking the restaurants on the map and sharing them with guests.
The location was roughly 15min by foot to the station but it could also depend on the weather. Western showers available all...
This place was FANTASTIC!! Our room was so large we thought it was a mistake. We had a table, sleeping area, then a second sitting room with a private sink. Additional sinks and mirrors were just outside our room, with private bathrooms and showers on our floor.

The sink was inside the room.
The room was a twin room with two beds of different sizes and heights.
Since I was alone, I slept on the higher bed, but it was too narrow...

Clean spacious rooms close to Kanazawa Station but in a quiet back street. Great eating options nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my 4 night stay. Recommended.
The hotel environment is very good 👍🏻 It is within walking distance to Kanazawa Train Station and large shopping malls. There are many various restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is only a 7-minute walk from Omicho Market. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to Korinbo by three stops from the train station. The hotel rooms are neat and clean. Our stay at Ryokan Karasawa was lovely! The space was clean and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. The guide to the local buses and food was invaluable. The building does show its age a bit, but at such a great price and location it's impossible to complain. The futons were REALLY comfy here, too. I'd definitely stay again!
We loved staying at this Ryokan!

Loved th e property the rooms felt spacious and the provided services were next to none.
A bit remote from the city center but well worth it, the people who run the inn are incredibly helpful and friendly
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Always smiled and said Hi as we came and went throughout the day. LaLa-chan was also very friendly and always made us smile when we came back.

There were unfamiliar sounds. It was so loud I couldn't sleep. The staff spoke quickly, making it hard to hear.
This was my first time making a reservation and visiting, attracted by the low price. I pulled up to the side of the building and asked the front desk about parking. To my surprise, there was a gravel parking space down the hill. I was a little disappointed to have to walk 100 meters in the heat, but I still checked in. The front desk staff were very polite. Although it feels a little cramped and old, the value for money, including the accommodation fee, is excellent. The only thing I can say is that the heart-breaking slope on the way back from the parking lot is quite tough.

We had to cancel the reservation due to an inconvenience and the owner was very kind and resolute, he helped us with everything. It's a shame because we liked the room and the staff was very kind. Thank you for everything.
Shared bathroom and shower. The room is not too big. The price increases a lot during holidays. The Japanese experience is quite unique. Convenient to eat around. There are many shops. The service is very friendly. There is room service.
The main thing about this place is its rooms, specifically traditionally made Japanese rooms (ryokans) The rooms are nice. They are equipped with what you would expect from a normal hotel. Kimonos are in the room too. I would give "rooms" a 4.5.

I stayed here a few days in July and Im very satisfied. I felt like in a normal private room / house not a hotel. It was the most beautiful room of all I had during my 3 week trip around Japan. Tatami mat on the floor, windows without glass, minimalism concept, etc. Moreover the owner is very helpful in terms of providing tourist information. Thank toy!
This is the best japanese traditional hotel.
You should try to have a japanese breakfast if you use this hotel.
Nice Japanese Tatami room. Clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Affordable price and nice place for a stay in Kanizawa area.

It was my first time using this inn!!
The waitresses were very friendly.
The variety of food was amazing!
I was full after both dinner and breakfast!
It was also nice to be able to take a bath in peace and quiet.
It snowed a lot, but I was able to get there and back safely!
This is a highly recommended inn. I would especially like to give it high marks for the food and hospitality. There was a wide variety of dishes, and they were all delicious.
It's in a quiet location, and there aren't many rooms, so we were able to spend a relaxing vacation.
This was my first stay at a lodging in Yuwaku Onsen, which could be described as Kanazawa's inner sanctum. This time we traveled by bus, but if possible, it would be more convenient to have your own car.
The room with an open-air bath where I stayed was two stories tall, with the bath on the floor below. It wasn't particularly large, but it was still enjoyable.
The view wasn't particularly great...
I've been here a few times.
I'd love to go back.
Except for bug season 😖
The food is incredibly delicious, and I'm completely full.
Well, bug season is a no-no, ❌

I might not be able to sleep because they're so distracting.

After arriving at Komatsu Airport, I took the airport bus for 1300 yen directly to Kanazawa Station.
