The Japanese breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious, and the hot spring bath was separate. It was very relaxing and comfortable.

Very spacious room with a terrace and a private natural onsen on it (windows can be opened or closed if it’s too cold). Beautiful surroundings, and the bus stop isn’t far, making the place suitable for travelers without a car. Too bad we had only one short evening to spend there — the place is definitely worth more time.

Huge room
Lovely surroundings, very peaceful
Awesome private onsen in the room
Very helpful staff (but it seemed like there were only 3 of them running the whole place, so sometimes it took a while to find someone to help)

Cons:
Beds are quite hard
Towels are thin and dry
Breakfast was not a buffet like we were told in our booking

Despite booking only 2 hours before the hotel manager refused to refund our reservation after a family emergency arose. When called Siwa-San acknowledged that he was the manager and could/would not alter the “hotel policy”. Further he would not provide any additional contact information.

1. Bedroom: It’s HUGE by Japanese standard. Good enough for a comfortable rest. I did notice that the housekeeping staff didn’t refill the tea in the room which was kinda weird 2. Bathroom/Onsen: the very reason you stay here: Private onsen. Got three big bottles of bodywash, shampoo and conditioner inside. Toilet’s located separately on different room. For a room that constantly gets overwhelmed by sulphur traces, the bathroom is well-maintained. It doesn’t take away the relaxing good experience with the hot spring 3. Breakfast: pretty basic. The kitchen seems to rotate it from Japanese to Western breakfast, if you stay more than one night. Don’t expect fancy meals. It’s also not buffet style but good enough to fill your stomach. 4. Wifi: works great 5. Location: Kinda far from the town centre. You need a vehicle to get to the hotel. Parking is free. 6. Things to know: this is an onsen town. However, if you are looking for a hotel with exclusive onsen access inside guest bedroom; this is the one. The nature’s view from the restaurant is also breathtaking

The whole place is too shabby, the shower and hot spring rooms are too dirty, and the ceiling is leaking
If you plan to go to Kamikochi, it is not close, and you will need to drive more than 1 hour to get to Kamikochi attractions.

The room was spacious and spacious, making it very comfortable. The free-flowing hot springs in the observation bath in the room were very nice. The only amenities are the provided shampoo set, towel set, and toothbrush, so you need to bring your own, but Samue and tanzen are provided, and the room comes with a hot spring bath, so I think the price is very reasonable. Dinner will be prepared for you if you make a reservation in advance. There were quite a few people staying multiple nights, so I'd like to plan on staying multiple nights next time.
Although there were no Japanese staff, I was able to spend a comfortable time without any problems with polite customer service.
