Yamazatonoiori Soene in Takayama

The room was spacious and clean. The window could be opened. The hotel has separate men's and women's hot springs, as well as private hot springs; the outdoor hot spring scenery was stunning. The room rate included dinner and breakfast; the food was delicious but not particularly special. The staff were kind and helpful.

The hotel is near the H41 bus stop; it's a short uphill walk, but only a few minutes away. My stay at the Yamasato Kusaoka hotel was truly wonderful. The facilities were exquisite, the onsen (hot spring) was fantastic, and the food was excellent.

It's the most, most, most satisfying hot spring hotel I've ever stayed at. Fukuchi Onsen has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere, and the mountainside accommodations are cozy and secluded. The private hot spring baths are also very large, and the outdoor hot spring scenery is fantastic.

The room was nice, with a pleasant wood smell. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member who was very helpful. Take the Nohi Bus to HO41 station (see picture below), it's a three-minute walk. The scenery was beautiful; it was raining when we went, making for a pleasant walk.

Everything was amazing, especially the baths

It was a very comfortable stay. I experienced the impression of a traditional Japanese house (deluxe version), Japanese hot springs, and Japanese food. My family was also very satisfied. It was worth the price.

We booked a Japanese-style river view double room, which was very clean. There was a small heater in the room. As soon as we entered the room, I remembered a scene in Gintama where everyone was huddled in the heater on a cold day and couldn't go out.
Note: There is a toilet and a washbasin in the room, but no bathroom. We basically took a bath in the hot spring, so there was no need to go back to the room to take a bath.

Transportation is not very convenient. You need to buy a bus ticket at Takayama Nohi Station to Fukuchi Onsen Station. There is a bus every two hours, so you need to check the time in advance.

Although it was fully booked that day, I still felt that the hotel was sparsely populated and quiet
When checking in, there was actually a Chinese guy to greet us
So the check-in was smooth
But it was awkward when it came to dinner. The English of the local hotel staff was so difficult to communicate
But their attitude was very serious. Although there was a menu in English and Japanese, the waiter still insisted on using the translation software to explain each dish in Japanese (but the translation software was really bad, I couldn't understand it at all). I was so touched!!!
The hotel has three places to soak in hot springs (1. The hotel's large indoor bath can be used for bathing. After bathing, you must try the ice milk in the refrigerator in the rest area; 2. The semi-open-air shared bath is a small path. Men and women can enjoy different scenery on both sides in different time periods. The rock pool and the kettle pool are highly recommended. The photo on Xiaohongshu is the kettle pool, but there is no place to wash and go to the bathroom; 3. The lockable bath opposite the hotel, I didn't go there, but it should be suitable for couples) Anyway, it is a place I want to come again next time I come here.

The service is good, the room is big and warm, it is very comfortable for two people to stay, and the dinner waiter is actually a little boy who can speak Chinese. He is also very nice and answered many questions. The service is very enthusiastic. The hotel experience is very good.

Used it last summer. After check-in, we go to our room and hand-brew confections from hospitality tea. The food served in the fireplace is delicious, and the local sake continues. The food was generally quite good.
