The hot spring wasn't as appealing as in the pictures. Breakfast was decent, especially the cake, which was delicious. For the hot spring, maybe because of the cold weather, the glass fogged up and you couldn't see anything.

The hotel is not far from the station, about an 8-9 minute walk, and they offer a shuttle service to the station. The breakfast was incredibly lavish, with everything you could possibly want. From various vantage points, including the restaurant and hot springs, you can see Mount Hakodate.

The room was spacious, which was great for traveling with kids. There's a supermarket on the first floor, and plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It's an ideal location, very convenient for getting to Mount Hakodate and the train station. There were always taxis waiting right outside the door.

I really enjoyed this hot spring hotel. On Mondays, it was so crowded that the entire place was practically reserved. It's said that the former shogunate soldier, Hijikata, bathed there. You can book a pick-up and drop-off service. The price of one night's accommodation with two meals is quite reasonable. You can enjoy hot springs and snow activities. It's a great resort! It's a bit of a shame that skiing won't open until after December 25th!

This hotel is right next to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto JR Station, making it perfect for a layover when traveling by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hakodate. It's a business hotel, but the facilities and service are excellent, and they even have a hot spring bath.

This is an excellent option if you need an overnight stay between train rides or picking up a rental car near Hakodate. Easy train access to Hakodate city if you want to visit. On the last day of my trip, I wanted to experience one of the top 100 hot spring hotels. Upon entering, staff knelt to greet me, and I was offered homemade matcha and cookies. The hotel had a rustic charm. Entering the room, I was immediately struck by its cleanliness and spaciousness. Hotel Sun City Hakodate is a business hotel located in Matsukazecho, Hakodate City, Hokkaido. On June 24, 2022, I took the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry from Oma to Hakodate. Conveniently located a short walk away from the hakodate train station, reception was warm and welcoming, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable, overall a great place to stay for a short trip in hakodate

Quite easy to find, just straight ahead after arriving in Hakodate station (this is NOT where the Shinkansen stops). Front desk is friendly but the English is not very good. Tattoos are not allowed in the hot tub. Breakfast set is cheap, but not that great. Room is quiet but only 1sachet for green tea. Better go to convenience store nearby.

Very clean and comfortable room and in a convenient area

Not very convenient on snowy days though it is near a tram station. However service is good but room is a bit small and squeeze.

Average hotel. Cheap price. Was tidy but didn't find the service was that great.

This review is for the relaxation spa inside the hotel. 5 stars, I wish I could give 10! I just had the best massage of my life with Takemoto. She is incredibly skilled, intuitive, and listens to the body. I feel like I’m walking on a cloud after having a massage with her. The whole environment was also so relaxing inside. I was able to select my essential oil blend and finished with tea afterwards...

I arrived at the hotel to check in at 8pm. The front desk customer service was unable to answer my questions clearly. The room was large, but the bed was relatively thin. Great stay. Huge room. Very very clean. And it so great I booked a room with private Onsen bath. Staff were extremely polite. Just the buffet dinner was good but under what I expected. Great stay
