Kobe Kitano Hotel, Kobe1 / 30
8.9
Kobe, 3-3-20 Yamamotodori, Chuo Ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
EV friendly as they have free charging stations (bring your charger. Tesla doesn't need it as they have one for Tesla). "The most delicious breakfast" sounds true as they serve homemade food, using local ingredients. The breakfast is well balanced and nutritional (in my opinion).
To start with the room, a fairy tale I never wanted to leave this fabulous place the establishment is of an incomparable chic, the gastronomic space of the restaurant is fabulous the dishes are of a finesse and taste to make you fall from your chair, I recommend more than nature, an incredible setting with an auxiliary establishment at the top of the mountain where I wish you to go there one day
The breakfast was delicious as expected.
The hotel is indeed a bit old, and the facilities are relatively old, but it is still well maintained and clean. The room size is OK, at least a family of three can use it normally. The bathroom is quite large, but the shower room is a bit compact. The breakfast mentioned in the comments is indeed very diverse. It is amazing at first sight, but to be honest, I can't eat it after two bites, but many...
Everything is good, but the WiFi is a little weak
The highlight is the considerate front desk service, including taking many beautiful photos for us when checking out and bowing 90 degrees to greet us. However, the so-called "best breakfast in the world" is really exaggerated. Although the table looks full, the quality is far inferior to the breakfasts of Peninsula Hotel, Six Senses, Waldorf Astoria, Park Hyatt, etc. The hotel room reminds me of the...

Arima Onsen Hanano – Adults Only, Kobe1 / 30
9.2
Kobe, 400-1 Arima-cho (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Beautiful view onto the river and the forest from the rooms. Nice outdoor onsen. The rooms with a private onsen also worth it. Dinner and breakfast are okay but a bit boring and not exciting.
The hotel does not has shuttle bus. You need to walk from train station to hotel. You need to walk to mid of hill. It is very inconvenient. Not recommend to book this hotel.
Comfortable and soothing ryokan in the heart of Arima Onsen town at the top of a steep hill! Kaiseki was awesome in quality and detailed in appearance! Soothing and relaxing onsen bath with Gold and Silver onsen. Service staff was attentive and helpful, especially the conceige! Free IPA and highball drinks after dinner, too! Nespresso coffee available in the morning. Try it to enjoy the relaxation...
Excellent hotel ryokan built and with interior from the late 90's/ early 00's. The hotel has great private baths (note that they are only hot water, not mineral water) and shared mineral water pools. They provide yukata and a very good overall experience. There is free wi-fi, which reaches to most places (not to the wine bath though). Couple of nit picks that I had with my stay were: -at exactly...
Arima onsen gekkoen was definitely worth visiting, you can request for the shuttle transportation to and from the main bus station. The hotel is relatively old. We chose the traditional room with tatami floors which was an experience, the toilet/bathroom seemed a bit outdated but ok overall. Yukata, sandals, socks are provided. They bring tea and set up the beds when you’re dining at the designated...
Best ever onsen and love their hospitality.will back again

Kobe, 1537-2, Arima-cho (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
An old hotel with very few hot spring pools, you can count them on one hand. The overall comfort level is just average. However, the service is impeccable; all the staff are friendly, helpful, and readily assist with any request.
We stayed at Negiya Ryofukaku in Arima Onsen during the maple leaf season, opting for the West Wing's deluxe Japanese-Western mixed room with a mountain view. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, making us feel truly comfortable. Looking out the window, the mountain was ablaze with vibrant red maple leaves, like a flowing oil painting—the scenery far exceeded our expectations....
Like the quaint yet very elaborate ryokan style of living. The onsen may not be as big and fancy as in noboribetsu but it is still comfortable. I subscribed to their dinner and breakfast which was pretty good. I definitely live the wooden bathtub in my room. They have shuttle services to and from Arima Onsen region. The only complain I have is the weak wifi.
Excellent place to experience traditional Japanese living.  To avoid difficulties with getting to the hotel you should take a bus at Shin-Kobe station before darkness. This bus will take you to the bus stop at Arima, it’s 600 m away from hotel.
great location, just a couple of minutes from Arima-onsen bus station. The staff and service amazing. I was provided a vegetarian kaiseki dinner and breakfast upon request
Excellent ryokan, staff very friendly, clously to arima ropeway. Dinner is excellent! I recommend it!

Kobe, 1683-2, Arimacho, Kita-ku (12 km from centre) 🧭 Map
While the staff's English proficiency was commendable, the hotel's much-touted "high-quality innovative cuisine" fell far short of expectations. Coupled with deficiencies in the room facilities, the overall experience was completely unworthy of such a high price. I would not stay here again. ✅ Service (The Only Highlight): • The staff's English was above average, communication was smooth, and their...
Excellent hotel despite the pricy side. Wonderful service as expected for the Japanese culture!
This hotel is the most expensive one I have stayed in more than 10 times in Japan, but it also has the best service. I experienced the butler service, and I didn't need to carry any bags when I entered the door. The price includes breakfast and dinner, and the breakfast and dinner for two days are different. There are also live cooking. I really felt the multi-sensory shock.
The environment is good and worth recommending.
The hotel staff are very polite, actively help to solve problems, and personally transport people in and out of the station to the hotel. The room facilities are clean and drinks and snacks are free.
The cleanliness and hygiene level is very good. Delicious food The staff speaks good English, so there is no need to worry about communication problems. Feel completely at home in the hotel.

Arima Onsen Gekkoen Yugetsusanso, Kobe1 / 30

Kobe, 318 Arimacho, Kita-ku (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel, nestled halfway up the mountain, offers a traditional Japanese ryokan experience with tatami mats, which was a wonderful experience. During the day, the empty bedroom has a table, and in the evening, the staff will help clear it away and set up the futons. After our hot spring bath, we could just lie down and relax. When there are fewer guests, it feels like you have the whole place to...
Helpful staff and good location, room and amenities are a bit old though.
Great experience and excellent services. The room was great and the food was yummy.
The hotel boasts an excellent location near the station, making it highly convenient. The service is attentive and thoughtful, while the dining options are outstanding. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for travelers seeking quality and convenience.
The hot spring is very good. I came here with my family this time and felt like I was at home. The service was friendly and excellent.
The service of the staff is superb and way beyond expectation.  I noticed that the yugata for my wife is men’s size and my slipper is women’s size. I hope they can be more prepared on the suitable sizes to be available for guest. The only thing I don't really like is the toilet room inside the Japanese style room. The wall paper has lots of stain spot, smelly and it is not quite comfortable to stay...

1stly, there seemed to be a communication break between Trip.com and Goshobessho, as our dinner instruction was not passed on. And was not informed there is a 3-days advance notice requirement to make dinner reservation. Ended up we had to make do with what's available at other restaurants in Arima. Both breakfast and dinner choices should have been listed more clearly in Trip.com.

Simply the best stay in Japan. Will go back for sure.
I won't dwell on the ambiance, as my particular room didn't have the issue of a slightly sagging mattress. However, after using the private onsen only twice and a short-haired woman washing her hair once, the bathroom drain clogged, with water pooling about 3 cm high. It almost overflowed into the cold sauna area. When I checked out and reported it, all I got was an apology. Additionally, there's a...
This place is absolutely stunning! I highly recommend it, even though it's on the pricier side. The staff were simply exceptional. They welcome you like cherished guests and bid you farewell with the same warmth. The nine-course dinner was absolutely delicious! We stayed in a private villa, complete with its own onsen. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities...

Arima Hot spring Ryokan Hanamusubi, Kobe1 / 30

Kobe, 351 Arima-cho Kita-ku (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
A heartwarming and thoughtful mountain hotel experience. This hotel stay completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of genuine hospitality – there was a dedicated shuttle service directly from the station to the hotel, saving me the hassle of dragging my luggage around. The next day, I planned to explore the hot spring town at the foot of the mountain. The...
Hanamusubi Ryokan has been our favorite place when we plan our trip to Osaka region. We always book the same room with our private onsen so we can soak ourselves unlimited times a day while enjoying their cuisine both in the evenings and mornings in our room. Although we see some minor changes in their overall operation, their standards of service remain high and we couldn't be more satisfied during...
The hotel has very attentive and friendly staff. The onsen is very pleasant. The rooms are atmospheric. The hotel has all the necessary services. Next time I would like to spend more time at this hotel.
The service was very attentive. The only thing is that the bathhouse switches between male and female sections daily, and I almost walked into the women's bath while looking down at my phone.
The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. They even arranged for a car to pick us up from the station. Our rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, and the Japanese cuisine offered was rich and diverse.
The room with in-room onsen is quite small, and the onsen stops at 22:00, which means we cannot use it after that time.

Owner was courteous and went to great effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. Great value for size and comfort of room, amenities and great view
This was not a hotel but an apartment. The location is practical, the balcony view is gorgeous, and the owners were very receptive and generous to requests. The structure is, however, old and the bedroon windows made a terrible rattling sound every time the door was shut, or the bus went by- definitely could use an upgrade. The washing machine and dryer were life savers. The place does not have a functioning...
Extremely family friendly with comfortable rooms and even toys!
Transportation: There are two buses, No. 2/18, downstairs. Both can go to Sannomiya. No. 2 runs every 5 minutes, which is quite convenient. It is also very convenient to go to Mount Maya and Fubiki. No. 18 goes directly to the Maya Cable Car. No. 2 goes to Guanyin Temple and walks there. There are no places to eat around. You must eat before returning to the hotel. There is a family mart 300 meters...
1. **Room Cleanliness**: The room was spotlessly clean. The sheets and towels had a fresh scent, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The furnishings were also tastefully appointed, creating a warm yet modern feel. 2. **Convenient Location**: The B&B is in a prime location, surrounded by a wealth of amenities. A bus runs right downstairs, running every four minutes and taking us to Sannomiya...
Although the house is a bit old, the terrace has a good view, with a full sea view and a view of the entire Kobe city. The house is spacious, clean and located in a quiet community. The only drawback is the water heater problem. Fortunately, I sent a message to the owner , he responded immediately, and an employee came to solve the problem quickly. .
