JAKOTEL Plus Namba in Osaka

Its a little bit of a faff to self check in, but once you get that out of the way its all good. The capsule rooms are actually very spacious. It's not convenient to travel to the bottom floor to use the shower, of which theres only two per male and female gender. There is a toilet on all floors i believe. I was on the 3rd floor for women, but everything was clean. There are lockers on the 2st floor all and some in other rooms above because of space, which was good because many people had larger suitcases that they couldn't fit into the lockers. So beware you may have to make frequent trips to pack and unpack things as you need if you're bringing a larger suitcase or if you have an assigned locker on the 1st floor (the lockers match the capsule you have been given!) It seems safe to store things but I kept my shoes and bags in my lockers on my floor so felt better about it.

The room is pretty much comfortable, the AC is soo cold even during summer. It has a small common room for you to eat, drink or even have a chitchat with other travelers.

Didn't expect they gave a free rent pajamas, and the towel can be change every after use, free tea, coffee, water, microwave to use and refrigerator

If you have a one big luggage, you can put there as well after checked out but the space are small, it might be very crowded in the 1F area if all customers put there

It is a decent place, I like the self checkin process, it is very smoothhh, to make it smooth you have to fill the form, you just have to remember all the different password though (just take a pic of it and eventually you’ll remember it anyway)

and I don't have any problem with the staff as it is most talked in the reviews, less interaction during the stay though they only available during cleaning time anyway.

Good place and value for the price

I had a great experience staying at this hostel! It’s located just a short walk from Namba—one of the most popular districts—and super close to several train stations. Being just two minutes from a lively fish market was a fun bonus! The neighborhood is energetic but feels very safe, even at night.

The hostel itself is clean, well organized, and thoughtfully run. Indoor slippers and pajamas are provided, so no need to bring your own. Amenities are more than reasonable—fresh towels, quality shampoo and soap, and even free drinks in the kitchen on the second floor. The shared spaces feel safe, with security hammers placed throughout the residential areas, which I really appreciated.

The bedding is clean, and while the futon is a little firm, it adds to the authentic experience. You do have to put the blanket into the cover yourself, but that’s part of the charm. There’s no front desk, but don’t let that fool you—the staff are working behind the scenes constantly. I even had an issue with my booking date, and they helped me reschedule smoothly and kindly. Big points for that!

Definitely a great place to stay if you want something comfortable, convenient, and full of character.

I stayed at the hotel every time
When I was going with my family, my older sister stayed here and said it was okay, so I made a reservation.
When I sleep with the heater on, I turned on the electric pads one by one, so I slept warmly. If you go to winter, you may be surprised because it is cold at first, but if you turn on the heater and electric pads, it is warm
The refrigerator was big and the room was nice.
But the vacuum cleaner doesn’t work too much
So my dad cleaned the vacuum cleaner separately;;
Only then did it go well
The landlord seems to have to clean the vacuum cleaner on a daily basis.

I recommend it when several people come later
The hotel is good, but it's small and especially the refrigerator is really small ㅠㅠ
But, I think it’s good because the refrigerator is big and you can make and eat anything. There is also a microwave oven and all kinds of tableware.

Good place for people on limited budget.
