Pretty decent hotel in the alley of Kyoto. No frills hotel but you get what you need. Free breakfast included, it was simple yet filling. Don’t expect too much for breakfast since it’s free. Huge upside is the very spacious toilet and separate bathroom

The hotel is a bit old, but the toilet is very modern. I stayed here in winter, and the room was super warm. Cleansing products, body lotion, and toothbrushes were all provided for guests to take, which was very convenient. Highly recommended!

A tina, but very comfortable place to stay. The staff is friendly, and checkout can be done easily vie tablet. It is located about 8min to the metro station. The rooms get cleaned every three days only, but you get enough towels. The rooms have a small fridge and a watercooker aswell.

The tatami room is larger than the one in Osaka. Toiletries are available downstairs. It is a bit far from the Karasuma Line if you want to go out. It is right next to the train from Osaka, but the bus is convenient. Overall, it is good.

The room is small. Not fit for three. No place to keep your luggages inside the room. The staff are accommodating. There is a lounge to stay in the night.

I was staying by car, but since I entered the name of my vehicle when booking, I was able to stay without worrying about parking. Also, the Keihan Railway station is right in front of the hotel, so although you can hear the station and the sounds of the trains, the unfamiliar sight of the trams was a memorable one. There are also convenience stores nearby, so it's very convenient.

It's a pity that it's on the 5th floor. If you live on a higher floor, you can see the lake. There are railroad tracks under the window, but it doesn't feel noisy even with the window closed. This hotel is far from Kyoto Station but in a quiet neighbourhood. Although accessible, should you want to stay here, factor in travel time - 20mins away from kyoto via JR lines. The building is old. Breakfast is good but i missed mine on the second morning as they closed 10mins early. Good size room - and I have a double bed for single occupancy.

Clean, quite and convenient. A very good place to stay a while.

The hotel is located right outside the Otsu Station ticket gates. Entering the property is through the attached bar and restaurant. Most of the nearby restaurants seem to close around 11pm. There are no cooking utensils, but you can bring your own food and drink in the common areas. There are also pots and water dispensers, so we were able to eat cup ramen inside the hotel.

The main advantage of this hotel is the location in the old parts of town, which means that you can walk to several of the attractions. For example, there was a great temple and museum right behind the hotel. Some of the rooms are very small though. I would recommend paying extra to get a little larger room otherwise you will feel like you’re in a boat cabin

A wonderful, peaceful place to stay! Even our economy room was large and comfortable, and the public baths were immaculately clean. Even though it is not in the more “popular” areas of Kyoto, we found it very easy to navigate transit and found some great nearby restaurants and temples to visit.

We loved our stay at hotel koo. It was the perfect combination between japanese traditional house and modern scandinave touch. We felt so at peace in this room, a perfect moment of relaxation.
