Truly enjoyed my stay here! Really love the cozy and zen vibes and location was really good, directly opposite a mall with Uniqlo, GU and Loft. Amenties were provided in the lobby so you can help yourself to it anytime. Overall, a really comfortable stay and I’d come back again!

Overall is good and they have Refa for shower and hairdryer. My only complaint is the room is quite dark, not have enough light/lamp..

The room had a wonderfully calming Japanese-style interior. The lobby also maintained a strong Japanese aesthetic, making it the kind of hotel where you'd want to stay another night.

Being a Toyoko Inn, there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and the service is also excellent. The only downside is the location. Self-check-in was available, but the service was quite good. There was a water dispenser and a small seating area. The room was a bit more spacious than typical Japanese rooms, but there was only one elevator, so the wait was quite long. The breakfast was simple and delicious. My room was in front of the air conditioner unit storage area, so the view from the window was terrible. If you are planing a cheap hotel near Kyoto I recommend this one. Literally the hotel is in the station just get the elevator and go down and there you go you arrive attge station and after 2 stops 9 minutes you arrive at Kyoto station.

Located behind the JR station which could take you to anywhere outside the town. Need to walk to other location within the town as there's no connecting train. The hotel is rather old but is ok to stay at affordable price. A restraurant within the hotel that serve good food.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Kyoto. It was exceptionally clean, beautiful rooms and excellent customer service. My friend got sick half way through the night and the hotel let us book a separate room at 01:00 in the morning. It was a great location so we would definitely stay again!

The location is generally not far from the city center, and there's a supermarket and subway station within a ten-minute walk. The decor is quite new, and the bathroom is spacious.

It's a bit of a walk from Karasuma Oike subway station. There's a small supermarket nearby, and a Family Mart and 7-Eleven a little further down the road. The room layout is a bit odd; it could have had more space, but the strange design makes it feel smaller than it is.

Booked a few nights here last minute when we didnt enjoy our current hotel. Friendly staff and the room was ready even though it was a same day arrival. Breakfast buffet is very generous in the morning with western and Japanese options. In the afternoon they have a sort of tea time as well where you can grab a drink, great if you think of passing by the hotel.

Right in centre of Kyoto City. Very convenient location for Kawaramachi, Shijo, all amusement just outside. Very safe for solo ladies. Western style large bedrooms yet traditional Kyoto luxury feel decor. Good value at reasonable prices. Loved it!

Stayed for a week in December. loved the location. Staff spoke good english so that was really helpful During our stay we had to ask for some help and staff went above and beyond. The free call service from the station is very convenient for travellers who come to stay but not driving. Both the breakfasts and dinners are excellent. I stayed at this hotel in 2016. This time I booked it for my friend. It still feels a bit old. It's quite comfortable to walk along the nearby Kamogawa River, and the sanitation is also very clean.

with my friends we spent two nights in the Tazuru ryokan because we particularly wanted to try this kind of experience, in full Japanese style. Considering the place, the view and the beauty of the hotel I think it's well worth the money.

well, i mistakenly choose the smoking room which made me feel very uncomfortable whole night. It's my fault, I don't blame, but the ventilation is sooooo bad that I could always smell the smoking from my next-door neighbor. Others were ok. If you don't mind it's a bit old and you would just stay for a night, this is a good choice.

If you are going to visit Lake Biwa or Hikone Castle, staying at Reiah Hotel Otsu Ishiyama is very convenient for transportation and the price is much more affordable than hotels in Kyoto. The hotel breakfast is good and freshly ground coffee is available all day.

Take a break from Osaka to this little gem, surprise me for such a nice small onsen hotel. Amazing dinner and breakfast.

The food was delicious. The room had a slight odor, and I was bothered by how clearly I could hear sounds from the hallway (there was a gap under the door).

It's about a three or four block walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. The service was excellent. There's a small soaking tub, but I couldn't figure out how to use the curtains to block the sun. The tatami room itself was quite spacious.

The hotel is very unique , it has exhibits in each room which is very unique but eats up a lot of space in the room. So the room feels cramped . There’s no space to walk and open bags not unless it’s a big room.

Banda Down the beat hotel ever. Traditional interior and breakfast truly are the most marvelous experience you can ever wish for. The stuff is very kind and helpful. Everyone should stay in a Ryokan at least once in their lives.

The hotel rooms are generally too small and compact. There is a local cemetery behind it. It is not recommended to stay there. It is also difficult to find. It is located in a small alley with poor signage. It is not recommended to stay there.
